1899 Netflix Series Review
now if you’ve been following the channel for a couple of years and you know that we absolutely love dark picked it apart a number of times and it’s one of my favorite shows of all time because of this I was really anticipating this series and I’m happy to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it after when a show has three brilliant entries it’s expected that a series by the same team should match up to that instantly going in I thought this would be difficult for 18.99 and that it would be on the same level of dark
season 1 if not slightly below it however I actually think it’s better than that season and the cast in central mystery or just as enthralling as the later entries of that series would end up coming to be a dark was limited by the fact that a lot of people in the west wouldn’t give it a chance because it was a foreign language show in order to combat this I think they’ve made it so the series has a wide number of actors from all over the world without being a multitude of languages so everyone can be
on board pun not intended I’m glad that they did that though as I think everyone should definitely give this series a shot it’s super psychological and it will constantly keep you on your toes as
there’s a great atmosphere to the entire thing that just makes it unnerving shutting mostly the darker dim circumstances you never really know what’s going on in the characters minds or the show itself this makes it gripping to watch and I was constantly sad trying to figure out how everything linked together the cast will feel distinctive as well too and each one has their own backstory and traits that make them unique and special sometimes in shows the side characters can often get lost or whether it’s the costume designer acting I can pretty much remember every single
character that appeared in the series they are all fully three-dimensional people hiding skeletons in their closet and you understand what drives them and also what their hopes are this is a testament to how good the writing in the series is or as the concepts of high-level shows like this can often distract from the people involved you do see performances that make the characters so complex I think 1899 balances both its characters and concept really well and it’s an easy recommend from me those sons of a are dark they’ve done it again and 1899 is another
