2 mins Hamilton Khaki Field King Automatic Review – Best Entry Level Swiss Watch?

– [Adam] Here’s a look at
the Hamilton Khaki King Field Auto.
I bought mine as a present to myself,
after weeks of researching
the best entry-level Swiss automatic.
I’m extremely pleased with the watch.
It’s also available with a champaign colored dial,
if that’s your preference.
The watch case is 49mm lug-to-lug,
not the lug width, which is 20.
I measured the case thickness at around 11.2mm.
That’s a nice slim profile,
and benefits further from the tapered bezel,
which makes the watch very comfortable
to wear with long sleeves,
which easily slide over the watch.
The 40mm watch case sits really well
on my 7-inch wrist.
I have the strap on the 4th adjustment,
which should give you a good reference to the fit,
if you choose to wear it
on the supplied leather strap as I do.
It’s just too nice to replace.
There’s contrasting stitching,
and it tapers down slightly to 18mm
where you find a brushed square-pin buckle,
signed with the Hamilton logo.
I like the contrast between the polished bezel
and brushed stainless watch case.
The sapphire crystal isn’t anti-reflective,
but I think that makes a better

match
for the polished bezel.
I notice the loom charges really quickly.
Effective on the hands,
the five-second interval pips,
and the larger numerals.
The automatic H-40 movement is impressive,
and rewards your investment.
When the day changes, it does so instantly,
unlike many cheaper brands,
where instead the displayed week day
takes several hours to change,
before the new day is centered.
I like that the day isn’t abbreviated
on the day/date complication.
With an 80-hour power reserve,
it may never need to go on a watch winder.
A screw-down exhibition display case
and embossed Hamilton H logo
on the polished crown complete the aesthetic.
I placed a product link in the video description,
If you use it to buy a watch
I can earn a small amount at no extra cost to you.
