So therefore, I decided to look more into it myself and in this Dolly App review, I will show you both the pros and the cons and show exactly how it works, so you can find out if this is a great way for you or
not to make some extra money. So let’s start by going over the basics of what Dolly is and who can join. And Dolly is a platform where people can come and hire help when they need to move and that can be people that they need to both actually just lift it and other times also to drive it somewhere else. And that’s where you come in. You can become a helper as they call it and earn by doing that. And we’ll talk more about the actual tasks in just a few seconds. Let’s first talk about them
who can join because it’s not available everywhere. First of all, this is only available in the US. So if you don’t live in
it’s available where you live because of course it doesn’t make sense to like drive too far to actually do these jobs. But speaking of jobs, then let’s talk about what you will actually be doing. So on Dolly if you want to earn, you have two options. You can become a helper or you can become a hand. And a helper you need to have a qualified vehicle and can lift over 75 pounds there. But if you want to become a hand then you need to assist helpers. You don’t need a vehicle. You will earn a little
bit less. We’ll talk about the full earning potential later. But that’s basically what you need to be doing you need to help moving lifting stuff and driving it somewhere else. So you would just join, you’ll use the app that’s available for both IOS and Android devices, and then you can find different jobs and the requirements in your area. So always make sure of course to read the exact requirements, so you’re sure you can actually do the job. And the great thing about dolly is that you can build your own schedule. It is flexible, so you
can see when it fits into your schedule to work. And then after you’ve done the work you will get paid. And we’ll talk more about the payout methods a little bit later. But let’s first go over how much you can earn by doing these jobs. So they are very transparent about what you can expect to earn. You can see that the salary you will get its hourly rate, so it’s not per job. It’s per hour. But of course you need to be effective also and not just you know be lazy. Because then, you will not
get more jobs and another thing to consider is that the tips you potentially will get you will get to keep 100% of the tips. So if you provide good service, you will get great reviews, you will get more jobs, and you’ll get great tips. All that will increase your earnings. And you can see, as a helper, meaning where you also have a qualified vehicle. And a qualified vehicle you can see it can be a truck, a cargo van, or SUV with trailer. If you have a vehicle that is suitable for moving stuff then you can
earn on average fifty dollars. And as a helper where you don’t have a car, but you just help lifting stuff, it can potentially be on the average of the hands on Dolly as they call it, Dolly hands, is $35. But be aware this is average, so that does not mean that you guaranteed to earn this. And also not that that’s the limit, that means the average is this. So that means some people will earn less, other people will earn more. So that depends on the specific job. Also there can be some differences depending on where
you live. But of course you’ll always know what you will get before you actually start a job. But let’s then also talk about when and how you will get paid. So I do like the payout system on Dolly because you can see they have a very clear payment schedule. They pay twice a week. I think that’s brilliant. And then they pay via PayPal, so it is in cash you get paid. Of course great, PayPal quite convenient. But you do need a PayPal account to get paid of course. I think it would be great if they
also offered direct bank transfer. But you know this is what they currently offer anyways at the time of recording this video. And then you can see, you need to get approved on the platform. And we’ll talk more about this approved because there’s some important things you need to know about that before you actually apply. But you see, you get paid twice a week. You can get paid twice a week. You see Dollys, like the jobs that are completed on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, they pay out on Friday. And Dollys that are completed Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday,
pay out on Tuesday. So you do not have to wait long to get paid. And I definitely think that is great. But this whole joining process there’s something you need to be aware of about that, so let’s talk about that also before you can decide if this is really for you. So to become a helper hand, you of course need to go to the website app and sign up. And then you need to complete the sign up process. And that means for example if you have a vehicle you need to also show Insurance verification. And
you need to show your ID no matter if you sign up as a helper hand. And you need to go through some onboarding training and sign a helper agreement. And then the important thing that some people miss there is that you need to pay for and pass a background check. So there is a fee for passing the background check. And the fee for this background check is 30 dollars. So that’s just something you need to be aware of. And in case you don’t pass the background check or something it’s not that you get back. And
there’s not a way to not pay this. They make that very clear. So if you want to join, you need to be willing to pay this. So it’s only if you’re serious. It doesn’t make sense to just want to join just to have a look around because it does take some time to go through the onboarding process and there is a fee of thirty dollars as of the time of recording this video anyway for passing this background check. So as you can see, Dolly can be a flexible way to earn some extra money if you
have the strength to lift stuff and also if you have a car. Of course you need to consider what you need to spend on gas and all that to make sure it’s profitable the jobs that you take on. But overall, it definitely can be a way to earn some extra money. Just be aware the sign up process it takes a little bit of time. There is a fee for that. But if you can accept that, then definitely it can be a way to earn some money. I do like that they’re paying cash and they pay
out options or how often they pay out is quite good as well.
