A Noob Tries to Review: Minecraft Dungeons

what’s going on guys the noobest here
and welcome to my video review for
minecraft dungeons
so let’s get to it first i think that we
need to talk about the game that
started all of this, and it’s minecraft
and it’s really surprising for me what
has been achieved with what started to
be a really simple game
i mean it just was about a character
who happened to live in a big world and
need to find resources to survive
but in my honest opinion this is how a
big story begins
just with a person and a big place to
Grow
And just from this simple premise
started minecraft and look what we’ve
got in our hands this year
minecraft dungeons and it is
to put in a few words diablo remade in a
minecraft world
but is it really like that? well
not exactly it is actually quite
interesting
this game can be described as
a dungeon crawler with basic rpg
elements it’s very easy to get into and
really fun from the start
you know the story follows the usual
plot you
the hero of course are behind the big
bad guy
and

you need to do or accomplish a
certain set of things
without dying like me of course
to get him out of every evil things he’s
planning
yeah i think that doesn’t sound too
encouraging to get in the game right
maybe for some cliche or
a really classic story but i’m trying my
best to be honest and straightforward
with everything i say
and remember that while i’m also a gamer
i’m also a consumer and i need to kinda
evaluate what a game offers, let’s talk
about the gameplay now
as i said before it resembles diablo and
also torchlight
except from the fact that you do not get
to choose a class
let me explain that the developers made
this decision to actually try something
different in the
genre and for me it kinda clicked
it actually made me feel intrigued if
you had watched or played path of exile
you know what i’m talking about here in
dungeons is similar but not quite
usually you get in this kind of games uh
a class
and then you get an ability and then you
have your skill tree with different
kinds of builds but
in this particular game let me tell you
that
is gone and yes for a casual like me
and yes we have to embrace what we are
it just makes me feel relaxed through
the entire play
you don’t have to worry to make your
character learn a certain set of skills
to be perfect
you don’t need to stress yourself with
options you just need to play
relax, each piece of gear comes with a
randomly
generated enchantment which you increase
by using enchantment points
earned by leveling up and boy is really
great
that means that you can find three axes
let’s say and
each one of them will have different
skills and uses
and with all i said before i don’t mean
that the game is for casuals and
can be enjoyed by the hardcore gamer
nope
remember that every person has a
different playstyle and that no matter
how we play
we’re all gamers and need to enjoy the
experience in our own way
let me also tell you that this game can
very well be enjoyed by all
in addition to the enchantments that you
get in the gear you find
you also get artifacts which are objects
that have
multiple uses for example there’s this
object that
is called the boots of swiftness they
make you
run faster or the mushroom cap which
increases your attacks
and movement speed there are a lot of
these artifacts to find and help you in
your quest to stop the evil little man
the game also offers solo play, local
co-op for up to four players and online
play
just when i thought that couch co-op
games were going extinct
this game let me tell you from the
bottom of my heart
it made me feel little again like with a
new toy to play and to enjoy with my
brother as i don’t have friends
yeah and i also found out that dying
in games
runs in the family, while this game is
not as complex as diablo or path of
exile
it still is a fun ride there are nine
core missions
excluding the dlc of course with some
more missions to unlock
each time you play a level it has a
different layout thanks to the
procedurally generated world
this means that unlike normal minecraft
which you know the world is generated
block by block
this game generates the level room by
room, each level
that takes about let’s say it takes
about 20 minutes to complete it
obviously depends on the player the
builds and the playstyle of course
there’s secrets there are chests and
other things to find
the graphics, the graphics are beautiful
are detailed, the design
it’s the same from minecraft but it’s
remade on unreal engine with
beautifully crafted particle effects
that give
a unique spin and blend well with the
overall gameplay and looks
the music is engaging gripping and
really welcomes you
into the level that you’re playing
giving the atmosphere and blending with
the enemies
(LEVEL INTRO)
(LEVEL INTRO)
(LEVEL INTRO)
(LEVEL INTRO)
(LEVEL INTRO)
(LEVEL INTRO)
(LEVEL INTRO)
and to end this video the final comment
and perhaps
one of the most important ones is
that this game in my honest and personal
opinion as
of now lacks a little bit in the end
game department
once you first beat the game you unlock
the next difficulty and there’s
another one after that which also grants
you with new items
and more fierce enemies and that is
really cool don’t get me wrong
but some of you might feel bummed that
currently there is not much to do
than replaying the same levels there’s
currently a new dlc
called jungle awakens and a new one
planned for september called creeping winter
so we have a little more content to look
up to and allegedly new end game
content
so let’s see now how it all evolves
and to put in a few words minecraft hack
and slash game
with simple enchantment systems that is
fun and easy to get into three difficulty
levels
loot system, nine core missions not
counting dlc
and the graphics are really beautiful
