Apple M1 iMac 24" 2021. Purchased after 10 months.. Unboxing and Review

used this model before i’ve never tested this model before so we’re gonna do a very simple
unboxing and then we’re gonna test it out see how it goes okay so this model was released in
may 2021 if i’m not wrong and we’ll see what the hype was all about i’m a fan of the 24 inch
i still own the 24 inch 2009 model it still runs fine that’s with the nvidia graphic card it’s
a core 2 duo 2.5 if i’m not wrong but this is
something refreshing it comes with different color
we chose the navy blue color so let’s
to unbox we’ll go through these specifications
as we unbox it was an impromptu purchase all right i’m gonna pause this video
okay this obviously has never been open before i have no choice but to tear the seal there you go

i’ll try to move this camera alright so you can see
box and then take this thing out
24 inch imac i’m not gonna fully remove the box so i’m gonna put that first take out the keyboard
ok it comes with the
touch id keyboard it looks good apple logo sure if you can see i’m not sure why my camera is not
focusing anymore probably gonna replace my camera we next time
we have the cable to charge the mouse and keyboard
oh we have the imac power
adapter hmm… well that’s something new
all right wow what’s this for is it ethernet port

decal the apple sticker cool
i have tons of these i actually i didn’t really
you know use much okay you have the magic mouse
i didn’t really want to tear the
cloth because we’re not going to throw
away the box so this new magic mouse
you have to charge here so if this thing runs out
of battery probably need to put it aside and then
you know charge not sure why apple
designed this in such a way only apple knows
the reason why okay anything that i miss
power cable i think that’s about it
let’s try to power up this imac

take out the plastic seal
i think i’m gonna put a box here all right
look at that that’s the apple
logo so that’s the classic
hello i think i’m just gonna peel
everything off later on let’s go

i’m gonna connect all the cables
so this goes to the back of the imac
okay so i we love the snap-on
power supply cable to the imac kind of cool
and just
connect to your imac power adapter this brick
let me set this thing up first
so and then i will power it on
i’m not sure if i should charge this first and
if i need to it’s gonna be annoying let’s power it on
so i’ve already finished setting up the imac so
far so good most probably i’ll let it update to
monterey it’s quite sleek for those thinking of
getting the new imac especially this one make sure
you get your apple care just in case you might
never know your cat accidentally knocked over
your imac the glass breaks so at least you can
do the exchange at apple store it all depends
on the damage all right the speakers are
quite well done so i’ve already installed
most softwares that is going to be used
on this imac i’m quite quite impressed i love
how this will fit on your office table

to be honest for the speakers i prefer the the
older models than this one but it all depends on
your are hearing i’m more familiar with the old
imac speakers not sure if there’s any difference
actually it’s not bad

not sure if they have 32gb ram for this model
all right photoshop working fine so where i’m from
this cost around $3000 plus including three years
apple care plus that’s where i’m from i’m not sure
different country most probably different prices
okay is it worth getting the imac 24 inch at
the end of the day it depends on your wallet
if you plan to get one get the max specs and apple care
can actually forgo apple care but it would be
great if you purchase the apple care plus as well
so in case if there’s any issues within three
years you can actually do a one-to-one exchange or
they will fix your issue at no cost why not we try
to upgrade to monetary so at least this imac is up
to date so another trick okay this is best if you
want to create mac os monterey boot drive not
really necessary but in case you never know if you need it
okay you go to app store click on monterey
this is for those who want to create
monterey usb boot drive so you go to app
store click get and then let it download
okay are you sure you want to download
macos monterrey 12.3 yes download so
we’re going to pause this video i’ve already
downloaded mac os monterey so those who wish
to to keep the installer if you want to download
the installer before you upgrade you go to app
store search for monterey just download
from app store all right so let’s hope
this works fine okay anyway this imac is really
silent unlike the older macs where you have the fans
and you know doing some work in the middle of
rendering fans will rev this is a change so
something different okay let’s hope this runs
monterey fine i’m gonna clean this off again

so this is now running on macos monterrey
12.3 the latest macos monetary 12.3
i have all my softwares installed we’re just
gonna be doing mainly photo editing on this
imac nothing heavy it should work fine
if we decide to like do rendering in the
future storage is okay one terabyte flash
storage i’m not sure if an ssd i think so

i won’t be testing much i’m
not going to do benchmark and
all that stuff because it’s pointess to do that so
maybe after apple care ends and then
probably decide on disassembling this imac

okay to be honest for the speakers i still prefer
the old imac speakers this one is a
bit what do you guys think is it good

i don’t think that’s any sd card slot this
is actually refreshing because the last apple
stopped the 24 inch was in 2009 i think they
stopped the 20 inch and 24 inch in 2009 and then
moving forward 2010 mainly the imacs are 21.5
and 27″ so this has the vintage classic kind of
feel yeah there’s four usb c port two
thunderbolt the thing that’s about it you
need to buy your your dongles and adapters
