It’s got some cheap tickets for you here on National Cinema Day, which is Saturday, right? This dollars to get into the theaters. So we’ve got a couple movies here for year for our. Enjoyment. We have hot for Jesus sent Samaritan with Any say so much for so long that Saints America. let’s start off with conference coach called home for Jesus. Save Your Soul. Avoid title installers, Regina Hall

and Sterling K Brown Sterling K Brown is the pastor of a Southern Mega Church that had 26,000 members. Of course, it had 26,000 members, but then Brown’s character gets caught up in the scandal that now this massive mega Church only has 5 members left all and he and his wife, Regina Hall, are trying to make a So they bring in a documentary crew who kind of follows them around for their lives as they try to reopen this church, try to, you know, make their comeback into the world of megachurches. This film is a satire many

are some of the southern mega churches that with a lot of ostentatious materialism of the cars in the suits and the things of that nature. Sterling K Brown, Regina

Hall have good chemistry and both have top notch comedic chops in and of course, this movie. There’s a lot of good insight if you grew up like I did in the Southern Church, you recognize certain themes and certain going certainly goes. Yeah, it was. Somebody says bless your heart. You know exactly what they’re actually saying in though, is a little bit. And it’s supposed to be a

side. Tara was set. Are you supposed to laugh? And unfortunately, there’s just not enough laughs in this movie, but Regina Hall, her she is just hilarious, though, in this bill. And at the end, she has a dramatic moment that just will leave you gasping on how just a Abul and raw she is. But all in of this even film that doesn’t quite work. Sometimes. But other times it does. I did enjoy it, which is why I give it a 7 and half at a time now. So pretty decent. you get a little little grace. Exactly.

A little bit of churches. So let’s talk about Samaritan next. This is a new film that recently premiered on Amazon Prime. It’s free. Their stars, Sylvester Stallone. He’s a garbage man. Lives next door to a 13 year-old boy who is convinced that Sylvester Stallone’s character is long thought dead superhero called Samaritan that 20 something years prior he died fighting and evil superhero. But this young boy just convinced that Stone is the man that was once the set in the fictional world of Granite City. And of course, there is anytime you have a super here. Of

course, there is a villain, a young, a man whose from the from the Game of movies Pylos setback. I think its name was who wants to be the new nemesis of Samaritan this movie. You know, it’s good to see semester Sloan in action flicks. Of course he’s done a lot of those over the years as you know, terms of Rocky and small little So it’s good to see him back. You know, he brave brings in, you know, automatic a does. This movie, though, was just just bland. you know, some of the action scenes were Okay.

There’s a couple scenes where the CGI toward the end, the film there in a burning building like this is a green screen. You can burning building. And the villains motivations are kind of silly. He wants to take over Granite City, blah, blah, blah. You know, it’s not particularly that Weldon fell. I was disappointed in this movie, which is why give it a 5 and a half out of you know, it may be a few just a diehard superhero film and, you know, want to see some action might be the one for you, but I’d skip

it because there is another that hoping to, but that there probably should
