Celine Dion reveals diagnosis of stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder

Céline Dion announced within just the last hour that she is dealing with a rare and incurable neurological disease. She made the announcement on her Instagram page recently. Have been diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder called stiff person syndrome. Which affects something like. One in a million people. While we’re still learning about this rare condition, we now know this is what’s been causing all of the spasms that have been having. The 54 year old singer says the spasms affect all aspects of her life, including her vocal cords, stiff person syndrome turned sufferers into human statues.

Dion said she will no longer be able to restart her planned tour in Europe in February and expressed her disappointment to not be on the stage.
