Chinese Carbon Bike ordered on the Internet in 2020.
Bike was around 1800 SGD and I added several upgrades I found on Aliexpress
Titanium skewers, weight saving and better aero, Cost 15 SGD
Integrated Carbon cockpit. Saved a few hundred gram. Slammed Stem at 130mm lenght. Cost: 160 SGD
Shimano 105 including bottom bracket, derailleur and brakes
Replaced saddle with Aliexpress EC90 Carbon saddle. Cost 20 SGD, saved 200g
Secret trick: I use mountain bike clipless paddles as I can get quicker in at traffic lights
Continental GP5000, 120 SGD
Aero deep section wheels came with the bike. No issues after 1 year.
Carbon fibre bottle holder. Looks cool. Cost 10 SGD. Trick: place it behind the seat for better aero
No issues with the bike after 1 year and 5000km. Feels like new.
Secret trick 2: Added a Shimano Dura Ace Chain. Mechanial Watt savings, smoother shifting, long durability and lighter. Cost 70 SGD
Free aero savings: Cut the fork steer tube to lower the bar.
