Commander Vs. Cowboys Sunday on FedEx Field

The commanders kick off tomorrow to the Cowboys at FedEx Field. The commander is hoping to end the season on a high note with a win, but ultimately not playing for anything more than personal satisfaction. With a playoff berth not on the line, the commanders are looking to rotate in some newer faces Sunday, and that starts with giving rookie quarterback Sam Howell his first NFL start. It’s a move that’s getting a thumbs up from his receivers. We were just saying that at practice today. You know, he looks so cool when he’s in the pocket. He throws

the ball very effortless, puts it on the money. He puts it where it needs to be every single time. So I can’t, I can’t wait for the opportunity for him to start and be out there throwing touchdowns to us. For a young quarterback like he is, what impresses you most about him, I think this is really his poise. You know, I think he really has a lot of confidence in his his ability. Like I said, I think he played with a lot of confidence and the the reps he got in preseason and in practice he’s

going in and. And he’s not afraid to really attack the defense. You know, sometimes I feel like when you’re a backup quarterback, you’re just reading the card. You know you’re throwing

the easy throws or you’re giving defense easy looks, but he’s trying to make throws as if he’s playing the game. And so I’m excited to see him really get the opportunity to show what he can do.
