Does It Really Work: 2020 mid-year review

it is that time of year when Kurt Aaron
looks back on the dozens of products he
has tested over the last six months
tonight his review of the best and worst
does it really work products so far in
2020 back in January before the pandemic
we were visiting our friends at Rice
Elementary in mountaintop we needed the
help of kids and teachers testing the
fao schwarz gummy bear maker the maker
of this gummy bear kick claims simply
follow the directions and you’ll be
enjoying yummy gummy bears in under 30
minutes yeah right
unfortunately the machine didn’t work
the molds didn’t want to stay together
the heater didn’t work and the gummy
bear recipe didn’t look or taste too
appetizing this was an epic fail the
gummy bear maker two big thumbs down in
February before the pandemic we were in
the back mountain with chef Jake testing
the George Foreman indoor grill now the
maker of this grill claims it works
indoors no fire no flames no smoke after
putting it together and loading it with
delicious foods we grilled for about 30
minutes steaks chicken veggies and more
the grill worked just as advertised it
did

a great job
we gave the George Foreman indoor grill
two big thumbs up we purchased it for
$80 at the time at ba’s calves in
Scranton also in February before the
shutdown we were at Clarks Summit senior
living testing a product to help seniors
open jars easier called good grip jar
opener the residents here helped us with
the test the maker claims the special
design of the handle gives you more
power and grip to opening bottles and
jars we weren’t fans of the design or
the way the product worked it wasn’t
worth the 10 bucks thumbs down
in early March again before the shutdown
we were at bobby o’s restaurant dupont
testing a new stackable microwave kit
that promises to let you cook multiple
meals in your microwave at the same time
how about that no more waiting on one
plate to finish before starting another
nuke them all at the same time we cooked
all kinds of different foods in the
containers the micro master 2 steamer
did a great job
the staff at Bobby o’s gave it two big
thumbs up by the end of March we were
officially in shutdown mode so my wife
Theresa helped test some products from
home one of them was the new power XL
cordless iron and steamer just charge it
for 30 seconds start ironing it’s
lightweight and easy to hold however you
have to keep putting it back on the 30
second timer to keep it hot we weren’t
fans of the cordless iron for $60 we
said save your money that’s just some of
the products we tested the first half of
2020 more of your product tests are on
the way this summer and fall Kurt Aaron
