FMA FMAM Fullmetal Alchemist Mobile Closed Beta Full Review
hey this is mass x
with a new full metal alchemist mobile
video and this is going to be my
in-depth review post
closed beta i wanted to wait until i was
done playing the game for a full week
before i did a review in the background
you’re going to see
some images currently right now the
summoning system
but i’ll get back back to that in a
minute
first off i want to say
if you’re a big fullmetal alchemist fan
you will enjoy this game
i think it is very true
to the manga
as well as the anime especially
brotherhood
i really enjoyed playing
the graphics if you’ve watched any of my
prior videos on posting the different
chapters look really nice they’re very
clean
and they go
very close to how the manga and anime
are so with that high remarks to them
pretty much in this closed beta they had
almost every character you could want to
play with which was great i have to
guess that these different banners that
they were giving us
um with like roy mustang there as you
can see
and some of
staggered at release which would make
more sense as well as possibly
the um
chapters for the main play of the game
so you can kind of work along and i have
to guess they’re going to add to those
chapters too
but it is enjoyable it is turn-based
okay so if you’re not a fan of
turn-based though don’t be turned off by
this game
because it is fun
and
the turn based works in this game okay
there is strategy and a lot of strategy
is necessary when you start to move up
to those higher levels okay
so remember that if you’re not big on
strategy okay then you
give it a shot if you still don’t like
it well it was worth a try all right
but it is interesting it does get
intricate when you have to build your
teams and see who you can use together
like certain characters can combo off
each other which is really great and fun
to use
certain fractions
that you can build have bonuses that you
get in the game and you can increase
those bonuses you have memory cards too
to help out with your characters there’s
lots of aspects of this game because my
first thought was with such a limited
title
how are you going to make a productive
game out of that and what they did is
they really went in
full force and tried to figure out a way
to be able to in my opinion keep a game
viable with a limited amount
of let’s say story arc to use
so that i give a hats off to them they
did a really
cool thing with that the summoning
system’s fun as you can see you dial a
phone and then you hit the receiver and
then the train comes you know if you get
an ssr if you get to see that glowing
light in the nice train
it’s kind of fun it’s creative it’s
original i give them credit when
building your characters it is
very resource intensive okay
very
so they did take some time and trying to
figure out how to
you know you could go again
150 when you get it and of course build
things up
but if you just want to enjoy it because
you enjoy the anime and you take your
time there is a lot to do especially
with the character building especially
with going and looking for certain items
so they did really think about how can
we make this game interesting and
lasting there were lots of side quests
there’s lots of um
i don’t know if i might call them mini
games but i will right now
uh
things you can do on top of the main
quest on top of the side quests there’s
specific quests for your memory cards so
it really does have a lot to it and at
least i found myself where i couldn’t
spend 10 hours a day playing this i put
in between two and three hours each day
during the closed beta over i believe it
was eight days or almost eight days
and found myself always having something
to do and still had plenty to do when
this closed up
now
how is this going to be when it launches
we’re not sure they didn’t show any kind
of preview of type events i have to
imagine
that’s going to be coming down the road
for pvp they do have something but it’s
auto
i have to believe too they’re going to
expand on that especially to keep this
particular title um alive and moving
forward to keep people’s interests so i
do really see
if they get enough interest out of the
gate that this game
could go in a lot of directions and
could have a decent life span because
there is quite a player base that loves
full metal alchemist
now at this point they have not said
anything about a global release
so
you know if you don’t want to have to
translate or figure out what what
they’re stating or different aspects of
the game then yes this game’s not going
to be for you
but if you’re someone that does like to
experiment and play games that are
outside where your country is and don’t
mind that aspect i highly recommend this
game because i do think they put a lot
of time and effort and care into their
build
i like
games that make you feel immersed in
them at times and this game does that
okay
i think the way they’ve done the
turn-based system in this the way that
they have really took some time into how
they built the different types of
characters in this game as well as the
cut scenes as well as
the different areas like fighting on a
train
and i’m when i say fighting on the train
i’m talking on the top of the train and
then they added lots of little easter
eggs to really do kind of some fun stuff
on the side for instance when you’re
first open up the game you’re usually
riding in the train and sometimes you’re
riding
with different people and if you click
on the characters that are sitting in
the train sometimes you get some free
items
it’s actually cool it keeps you
interested just those little touches
helped a lot of the time
now for me
i gotta say if you are gonna start the
game i would be going hard out of the
gate to try to get roy mustang he’s a
ranged character and he helps a lot
because of that because these characters
can hit back a lot of times so it’s very
beneficial to have characters that can
hit at a range and roy mustang probably
is one of the best okay
i mean
there are other characters too that i
absolutely love scar
phenomenal he has the ability to
multi-hit on a turn which is also
highly productive in this game helps out
a lot you will generally always need a
healer there’s a few different options
that they
have so that’s not going to be an issue
when you initially build your team but i
i gotta say out of all the characters
even with the villains
ah
i think i i still gotta go when you’re
starting the game roy mustang’s probably
the best
at the starting phase as you go down the
road there are definitely other
characters they’re gonna help a lot when
it gets much more difficult
um
but
i think i gotta lean towards him and say
he’s probably the top pick when you
first start if you can pull him and
don’t get me wrong alfonso all the other
characters they do their part in their
serviceable characters especially when
you’re starting the game so if you do
play this don’t be disappointed if you
only have one ssr
because it is doable with those other
characters and you can build them up
and i had fun using a lot of the srs
just to just experiment with different
types of characters and different um
areas of the game especially those those
side quests which made it a lot of fun
i do want to talk about one last thing
real quickly i i completely escaped by
as i’m focusing on roy mustang but
i gotta i gotta give an honorable
mention though because they’re just so
fun
to play and that’s the homologous
characters do you build a team with them
especially lust who is just sickly good
as well as
sloth and envy
they’re pretty much all available in the
game they build so well together and the
synergy on those teams too work great
together out of the gate i definitely
lean into the roy mustang as your as
your main get but then as you build on i
mean the major general is absolutely
awesome too like i said there’s so many
options in the game it’s great
so i gotta say i think graphically it’s
it looks
wonderful i think the storyline is done
incredibly well there is plenty to play
in this game the summoning system seems
pretty fair there is pity
um
and
the character base is just crazy
so with that i gotta recommend the game
if especially if you’re a fan of the
anime or the manga and give it a try
when it comes out i’ll definitely post
when it releases i have to imagine after
a week-long closed beta it’s going to be
coming out pretty soon
again it’s not available globally at
first and let’s hope it’s popular enough
that it does get a global release
