Former Jacksonville Jaguars' mascot reflects on time with the team

Source organization is someone who doesn’t score any touchdowns. Jackson Deville has thrilled fans for more than 25 years. These days, the original Jackson is just like us, a fan who can’t wait to watch tonight’s game. It’s so fun to see the city just light up and everybody, everywhere you go, everybody talking about it. For nearly 20 years, Curtis Dvorak thrilled crowds by jumping off the light towers as the original Jackson Deville with multiple playoff runs. He remembers what it’s like to see the team on a winning streak. One of the best parts about an NFL

team, you know, or sports team in general, is that the pride they bring to the city, the kids that want to wear the jersey and walk around, like, yeah, that’s right, I’m from Jacksonville. He hung up his costume, retired as the mascot and works for a different. Now. But Devorak recognizes that sports and winning teams bring a community together Saturday night at 8:00 o’clock when that lights go on 8:30 and kickoff happens. And that stadiums filled except for the ones who like Mayo and they wear Titans gear. All those other people, all those Jacksonville people,

whether they’re from wherever they are, may disagree on so many other issues, but from 8:30 to 11:45? Ish. They’re gonna agree on one thing better than anything else,

and that’s the Jaguars. Yeah, I love that.
