Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021) Super Short Movie Review

Finally! This is how you approach an homage to an established franchise.
Yes, there are many callbacks, easter eggs and tons of fanservice. But the movie just oozes the love for the old films.
Feels like an legit 3rd part where older topics are picked up because its the right thing to do for the story.
Still I feel a pinch of cashgrabbing nostalgia.
The kids do a great job. The adult cast gets the short end of the stick as their characters don’t get enough time to shine.
Weird after credits scene. I loved Winston without him telling me that he’s a rich guy now.
And what about the damn Starbucks?
Rest in peace, Ivan Reitman. The original director of the old Ghostbusters movies.
His son Jason did a wonderful job on this one.
