Harry Belafonte, ground-breaking singer and activist dies at 96

We do have some sad news to report here. Harry Belafonte, the groundbreaking singer, actor and civil rights activist, has died. Best known for the Banana Boat song and Jump in the Line, he passed away at his home in Manhattan. Back in 2015, the Greenwich International Film Festival honored Belafonte for his humanitarian efforts. He was 96 years old.
