In-depth Wyze 44mm Watch Review
well wyze is added again makingÂ
different things other than their core Â
cameras in this case smartwatch hello i amÂ
Wanderer001 and this is my review of the Â
wyze 44 millimeter smart watch there are a lotÂ
of other reviews out there of the smart watches Â
of the 47 millimeter smartwatch from wyze thereÂ
are not many of the 44 millimeter versions Â
and i want to tell you there are some majorÂ
differences when it comes to the software that Â
you run on the smaller version compared to theÂ
larger version uh primarily i got the smaller Â
version well because i have smaller wrists and youÂ
know when i rock something like my pro track here Â
it is a honker on my wrist and it it looks justÂ
crazy even when i wear my smaller g-shock gulfman Â
it still takes up a suitable amount of wristÂ
space so the 47 millimeter version would have Â
been a little large for me however theÂ
44 millimeter fits quite nicely and um Â
as much as it pains me to say this this wouldÂ
probably be a better size for a woman’s wrist or Â
a small child i mean i will admit it i have smallÂ
dainty wrists so what you’re looking at with the Â
wyze 44 millimeter is well let’s start withÂ
your
band uh you could tell i was wearing this rightÂ
before the review because it does not look great Â
but then again it’s kind of the rubber band thatÂ
you get with a lot of other types of watches Â
you’ll notice that there is a slight cut out hereÂ
to allow for some breathing it it gets very sweaty Â
uh i was hoping for something a little more likeÂ
this where you have notches that allow airflow Â
underneath your wrist but for the priceÂ
point which we’ll discuss a little later Â
you’re not going to get that you do have theÂ
classic watch style band which is kind of nice Â
and your fastener here is made of plastic oneÂ
touch that i actually really like is this right Â
here this when you have this around your wrist canÂ
kind of hide itself in one of the notches there to Â
help keep it in place which i haven’t seen a lotÂ
of places that did that and again this is a very Â
cheap smartwatch i will admit that this is also myÂ
first smartwatch so take that with a grain of salt Â
after the band well the primary thing you’reÂ
considering is the smart watch itself so the Â
casing for this is actually made of 6061 gradeÂ
aluminum i’m not gonna lie when i first got this Â
i thought it was actually plastic it looks kind ofÂ
plastic because it’s a very muted coloring for it Â
it’s not shiny it’s just it’s aluminum it helpsÂ
keep the watch very light which is kind of nice Â
it also is you know scratch resistant i’veÂ
kind of banged into it uh quite a few times Â
you can see a little bit in the cornersÂ
because that’s where i tend to hit watches Â
but it’s held up very nicely so far the casingÂ
also has a singular button on the right hand side Â
nice easy to find press on it and it will turnÂ
your screen on or cycle through to the next screen Â
and that’s it it does not turn the screen offÂ
i kind of wish it did but i could see why they Â
didn’t do it the case itself is also waterÂ
resistant up to 2 meters for 30 minutes which Â
is kind of nice so if you do splash some waterÂ
on this you don’t have to worry about it the one Â
issue that i have found with the screen itself isÂ
that it does have a similar problem shall we say Â
that the original fitness tracker that wyze hadÂ
first come out with had originally which is that Â
water running across the screen can cycleÂ
through the screens i don’t know why that is Â
i can’t tell if it’s touch screen sensitivityÂ
if it’s a software thing they have not yet fixed Â
it on the band as far as i know but uh kind ofÂ
looking and hoping that they do the smartwatch Â
on the back here you are looking at yourÂ
charging port right there what you get in Â
the box is a proprietary charging cable has littleÂ
magnets that help put it into place and i will say Â
that when you’re first setting this up if youÂ
don’t know what you’re doing the magnets really Â
only go one way so you kind of have to make sureÂ
that you have this in place correctly but you get Â
one proprietary charging cable for that no wallÂ
wart so you will need to use a charging brick Â
you also have your sensors for your blood oxygenÂ
levels as well as your heart rate the blood oxygen Â
level is a ppg sensor which is supposed to be 70Â
to 100 measurement range with 940 nanometer to 660Â Â
nanometer wavelength well what does that mean it’sÂ
all talking about accuracy well how accurate is Â
the measurements that you can get with this wellÂ
let’s take a look and find out all right now it is Â
measuring the heart rate over on this side it isÂ
indicating 119 and here it’s 100 and oh 16 15. so Â
there appears to be a one well much more now butÂ
uh there appears to be a small discrepancy between Â
something like this and the one that you haveÂ
sensor wyze on your wrist it’s not terrible Â
again these things are not super accurate they’reÂ
to give you a baseline or a generalized reading Â
we’ll do our oxygen next so we have on thisÂ
side 97 oxygen level and then we’ll check over Â
here and again they’re tools they’re not medicalÂ
devices but they are to give you a generalized Â
understanding of how things are going thisÂ
one takes a little longer you can see that Â
line around the outer side there as it’sÂ
measuring getting to a point where it will Â
display a measurement hopefully right there okayÂ
so 98 versus 97 percent so again a oh it dropped Â
down to 97 so now the two are reading the same butÂ
it looks like you’re looking at about a one to two Â
percent difference between a device like this andÂ
the sensors on your wrist those charging ports Â
on the back are also how you initialize theÂ
setup of the smartwatch yes because you will Â
need a wyze account and the wyze app on yourÂ
smartphone in order to sync up your data so Â
why don’t we use this as a interlude into actuallyÂ
seeing what the setup of the wyze watch looks like Â
this is setup of the wyze watch this will beÂ
the same for whether you have the 44 or the 47Â Â
millimeter version so right out of the boxÂ
you see it has a sticker on it letting you Â
know you have to charge it to activate it soÂ
we’re just going to take that sticker off and Â
then you can kind of see the watch face itselfÂ
after which we spin it around and we take off Â
the protective bit in the back because toÂ
actually start the setup process for this Â
step one is to take the proprietary chargingÂ
cable and attach it in order to boot the watch up
all right so that’ll be interesting for laterÂ
that’s proprietary as to which pin goes where Â
but we missed a little boot notificationÂ
with wyze logo popping up there there’s a Â
qr code that popped up on the band so whatÂ
we’re going to do is we’re going to go back Â
and go to the app and say add a band and thenÂ
we should be able to put in that information so Â
off camera i have the now powered up band we’reÂ
going to select add a device now it’s broken down Â
into these lovely unique categories so we areÂ
going to say lifestyle there we go got the 44Â Â
or the 47 watch we’re gonna say 44 becauseÂ
that’s what we have all right so it wants
camera lighting gotta love that it wants to allowÂ
the uh wyze app to take a picture because it’s Â
going to want to take a picture of that qr code inÂ
my case since i’m doing this on android i will say Â
only this time and now it wants me to goÂ
over and scan that qr code so we’re going Â
to do that off camera so it did take aÂ
minute there to uh line things up but Â
it is in the pairing process at the moment soÂ
you’re going to want to keep the watch nearby and Â
we’re going to bring that into frame now becauseÂ
the watch says pairing you’re going to say okay Â
to finish the pairing process which i did and theÂ
qr code popped back up so we’re going to see all Â
right pairing failed we’re going to try this againÂ
qr code is still showing up on the band itself Â
it is now showing okay we’re going to selectÂ
okay again and we see pairing up this time we are Â
successful you have to pick which hand you wantÂ
well it did say which hand did you want to wear Â
this on but apparently me picking it up and movingÂ
it kind of messed with it so we’re going to click Â
back into that so connected disconnected all rightÂ
it’s giving me an error code that’s interesting Â
see if it connects again all right there’s aÂ
firmware upgrade that needs to happen question Â
is will this take as long as the firmware forÂ
the wyze headphones review over there in the Â
corner we’ll make a notation of the time it isÂ
10 28 and we will not make you sit through that Â
so we’ll come back and hopefully that’ll be doneÂ
okay so it says that the firmware is up to date Â
however it is rebooting the device it took allÂ
of about five and a half six minutes so the Â
watch right now is not usable because well it’sÂ
rebooting thankfully the firmware did not take the Â
stated 20 minutes to actually download and updateÂ
part of that might be due to you know your wi-fi Â
connectivity so the faster that you can downloadÂ
the faster you will get your firmware updated so Â
again it says it’ll reboot in three minutes we’llÂ
take it at its word and i’m not going to film that Â
portion all right so it finished rebooting andÂ
there we go we got the watch face and it requires Â
you to enable background app refresh your watchÂ
needs this because the app is running in the Â
background uh to perform certain features so youÂ
can either dismiss this or you select learn more Â
and then it kind of tells you why i keepÂ
it running in the background and then it’s Â
showing me my phone model which is a google andÂ
then we can go to settings app notification wyze Â
advanced battery background blah blah blah orÂ
we can just go to set and it brings you right Â
into where you need to go 96 battery which isÂ
good so it shows that you know they ship this Â
with a full battery not terribly difficult at allÂ
to set up which is very nice coming back to our Â
button on the side here this also acts as a powerÂ
slash reset button if we press and hold on this Â
you will be brought to a secondary menu where weÂ
can power off the device or restart the device Â
powering your 44 millimeter watch is a 250Â
milliamp battery which depending on usage and Â
when you actually charge it canÂ
last ridiculous amounts of time Â
y states nine days of use i’ve gotten anywhereÂ
from eight and a half nine to 14 days depending on Â
what i was actually doing with this also at whatÂ
level i was allowing the battery to get down to Â
in some cases i would get it down to 10 and thenÂ
charge it and then other times i was taking it Â
down to completely dead depending on what levelÂ
you start charging it at you’re looking at about Â
two hours plus to recharge your device if you waitÂ
for that ten percent you’ll be getting closer to Â
that two hour range but if you bring it down toÂ
dead you’re looking at more like 2 hours 15 to Â
2 hours 20. again not terrible at all really youÂ
will also start getting a nag screen at about 20Â Â
that your watch needs charging so depending onÂ
if you can deal with the nag screen popping up Â
is whether you wait until it dies or notÂ
to actually charge it one thing that you Â
may have noticed on this when we were lookingÂ
around the body before is that there are no Â
microphones on this so you cannot talk to thisÂ
and ask alex a questions like you can with their Â
fitness band likewise you cannot use this toÂ
make calls you can decline a call using it Â
but you cannot pick it up so really the primaryÂ
means of communication this device has with you Â
is that it vibrates and depending on situationalÂ
awareness or your tolerance for vibrations of Â
certain types it might actually be unnoticeable inÂ
certain aspects using it for an alarm to wake up Â
if you’re a heavy sleeper you might not noticeÂ
those vibrations it’s not terrible but again Â
it is a data point to keep in mind now thatÂ
brings us to the actual screen of this device Â
it is a 1.4 inch screen size and one of theÂ
largest complaints that i have is compared to the Â
47 millimeter version the 44 millimeter versionÂ
has these super large bezels on the top and bottom Â
and i don’t know why there’s all that wasted spaceÂ
it kind of upsets me that it looks like that but Â
when we actually turn on our device you you kindÂ
of see a little better the uh the wasted space Â
you also may have noticed a little sluggishnessÂ
when flipping screens and that is most notable Â
when you bring in your notification shade youÂ
can see it’s kind of chunky when scrolling and Â
it’s it’s just it’s part of the price point thatÂ
you get for this it’s it’s not terrible but it is Â
definitely noticeable on particular screensÂ
there also is no adaptive brightness for this Â
and that means that you have to come down hereÂ
and adjust your brightness from one to five Â
now when set at five you can kind of see itÂ
outside without a real issue i do one to two Â
inside and just generally leave it at that andÂ
then kind of cup it if i need to see it outside it Â
does have a tilt to view option but i found thatÂ
on my particular wrist and where it sits it’s not Â
super effective so i find myself tapping theÂ
button on the side a little more than i thought Â
i would again not terrible but just a data pointÂ
now you saw me looking at the user interface when Â
i was swiping from left to right and i will sayÂ
that the user interface actually is different Â
than you get with the 47 millimeterÂ
version why wyze did that i am not sure Â
but let’s use this as a jumping off point to checkÂ
out the interface for the wyze 44 millimeter watch Â
this is navigation of the 44 millimeter smartÂ
watch when you first either tilt up or touch Â
the side of the watch you will be brought to theÂ
watch face depending on what you select is what Â
will actually show up here to change your watchÂ
face when on all you have to do is press and hold Â
the center of the watch face until you get thisÂ
blue outline that zooms in from here you can swap Â
between your watch faces and whatever you happenÂ
to be on for the last one will become your watch Â
face now the navigation is fairly simple withÂ
your watch face if you pull up from the bottom Â
you are brought to either the brightness whereÂ
we can change this all the way up to level five Â
for the purposes of this i have it on level oneÂ
you can see up there your battery is displayed Â
this is your do not disturb mode whichÂ
will prevent any notifications from being Â
sent to the watch itself this downÂ
here is your find your phone icon Â
which if we select this even if your phoneÂ
is in silent mode we’ll still ring it
as you can hear slightly off camera down hereÂ
this is our settings area we can come into here Â
and it will show us watch info i’m not going toÂ
show you that because there’s private information Â
brightness we have a toggleÂ
just for our brightness Â
here to go back to a previous screen simplyÂ
swipe from the left hand side do not disturb mode Â
we can turn on do not disturb mode which isÂ
that quick toggle that we were accessing before Â
scrolling down you have heart rate selectingÂ
this will allow the watch to continuously monitor Â
your heart rate so within normally five minuteÂ
intervals it will take your heart rate so that Â
it can chart it regulatory well information aboutÂ
the watch fcc filings all that fun happy stuff Â
scrolling down you can restart your wyze watchÂ
from here or you can reset your wyze watch from Â
selecting one of those two options we’re going toÂ
swipe to the left again and then one more time oh Â
and then down because this was our original menuÂ
that we swiped up from if you swipe down from Â
the top you will have your notification shade soÂ
any email notifications text messages phone calls Â
that’ll all be listed there phone calls canÂ
be terminated from the watch by clicking Â
a hangout button but you cannot pick upÂ
the the phone call from the watch itself Â
if we swipe over to the right hand side hereÂ
you’re brought to your quick apps selecting Â
the first one here activity that lets you know howÂ
much you’ve walked how many calories you’ve burned Â
your heart rate per minute and then hours sleepÂ
this is the only thing that you can see when you Â
swipe over from that and the step counts a littleÂ
low because well i forgot to wear this today Â
sports what this will allow you do is in three twoÂ
one go it will monitor your miles run time beats Â
per minute and then calories and then your averageÂ
time and then to finish your run you actually have Â
to press on the side button there and we’re goingÂ
to say finished and it’s going to say that it Â
wasn’t long enough to actually register as a runÂ
and i’ll say that’s fine this is the only activity Â
that the sports mode will actually track comingÂ
down we have heart rate if we are wearing this Â
correctly it will measure your heart rate so threeÂ
two one and it will give you a heart rate reading Â
based on the flashy lights that you see there inÂ
the background we’re going to swipe to the left Â
you have your blood oxygen level again selectingÂ
this please wait while it measures again from Â
resting position you will have a red lightÂ
that will calculate your blood oxygen level Â
coming down further we have alarms uh i’m atÂ
a loss for the alarms themselves i’ve tested Â
several different ways of doing this i thoughtÂ
at first it was just my phone wasn’t connected Â
to the watch overnight i cannot get these toÂ
work at all on the 44 millimeter one on the Â
47 millimeter these actually seem to work becauseÂ
it vibrates the watch that starts to be where i Â
see significant differences between the operatingÂ
system for the smaller watch as opposed to a Â
larger watch if we come in and actually couldÂ
set these correctly you can toggle it on or off Â
clicking and holding on it will bring you into theÂ
options which will allow you to set a time whether Â
this repeats or whether you’re allowed to snoozeÂ
if this worked it would be really cool because i Â
can come in here and i could select a specificÂ
day every day timer does work if we select on Â
that you will get a stop ability to choose fromÂ
1 3 5 and 10 minute timers all the way up to one Â
hour or you can customize simply by selecting andÂ
dialing in your own the timer’s not bad it’s it’s Â
just that it’s a timer you click on it and youÂ
starts counting down so we’re gonna stop go back Â
weather depending on how you have this set upÂ
in the wyze app will either target your current Â
location or where you have it set to you can seeÂ
a current forecast as well as a three-day forecast Â
next we have shortcuts there are no shortcutsÂ
you have to actually use the app if you had a Â
shortcut you can have up to ten this will allowÂ
you to quick set some of your wyze products turn Â
on and off camera turn on and off light but theyÂ
do have to be a wyze product in order to use this Â
here we have cycle tracking if you have the 47Â
millimeter version of this and you select mail as Â
part of your bio this is automatically taken outÂ
however they don’t do that for the 44 millimeter Â
not saying that that’s a bad thing but why do itÂ
for one and not the other if you need to track Â
your cycle you can do so right there and the lastÂ
application that we can access is our settings Â
which will give us watch info brightness heartÂ
rate restart regulatory so all those things that Â
we could access originally from that quick menuÂ
from up front now our watch faces one thing that Â
the 44 millimeter does have over the 47 is youÂ
can have up to six different watch faces however Â
selecting a pull down from the left does nothingÂ
you do not get those extra screens that you do Â
with the 44 millimeter if for whatever reason youÂ
need to restart the watch because the screen is Â
unresponsive it happened to me once just click andÂ
hold on the power button and then you can power Â
off or restart your device and simply tap to bringÂ
it back so that has been the navigation for the Â
wyze 44 millimeter watch so there you saw ifÂ
you’ve looked at the 47 millimeter watch you know Â
that there are some striking differences betweenÂ
that and the 44 millimeter why they did that i do Â
not know well the other way that you can controlÂ
your wyze watch is actually through the wyze app Â
so let’s take a look at what that looks like forÂ
the 47 millimeter version this is the app portion Â
for the wyze watch 44 millimeter to start we justÂ
come in here and we select the wyze watch and Â
you’ll notice the first thing that you do is syncÂ
your data if you haven’t synced any data recently Â
that might take a little longer than what you sawÂ
it will display your battery percentage right here Â
you can see i’m at 95 currently you also haveÂ
your selection of watch faces now the wyze 44Â Â
millimeter watch can hold up to four watch facesÂ
at once currently these are the watch faces that i Â
have on my watch for display if i wanted to changeÂ
that i can simply come to edit and here we can see Â
they’ve actually increased it so you can have fourÂ
of six so this is only four of the six possible Â
for the 44 millimeter you have a smaller selectionÂ
of watch faces than you do with the larger band Â
which kind of annoys me a little bit but you haveÂ
some planetary themed faces right there you have Â
some flower faces you have color which really isÂ
just a black face with a colored indicator for the Â
second hand these are actually the ones that iÂ
tend to use the most one because it helps save Â
battery because black background and just theÂ
color accent for the second hand you’ve got mixed Â
number where you only actually have one you’veÂ
got hollow numbers and you have numerical here Â
all the way at the bottom you have the possibilityÂ
of photos so what this is is here is the date Â
and time display and then in this black spaceÂ
you can stick a photo so if i select this one Â
i can select add and that will add it we canÂ
change our font color here and you can see Â
dynamically it’s changing up there so if i do thatÂ
and then i would come to background and select Â
a photo i won’t be doing that because i don’tÂ
want to show my library but once we do that Â
it will add this to the watch so let meÂ
quickly take a photo and i will take a picture Â
of my camera and then here is the watch face soÂ
you gotta carefully pick where you want that to Â
go select that there we go that’s gonna be myÂ
watch face i’m gonna hit okay and there you can Â
see there’s my watch face so maybe i want to moveÂ
that clock and date around there and i will select Â
add and then the new watch face will be addedÂ
to my watch now you will see this will take a Â
little bit of time to actually do so it’s notÂ
instantaneous but this is going to give you an Â
idea of the actual time frame that it takes to getÂ
from here to my watch and there we go that’s done Â
so if we put our app down for one second we canÂ
see my watch is installing the new watch face Â
so this is the second part of that you obviouslyÂ
will need to be connected via bluetooth Â
and there we can see there is my new watch faceÂ
that i just took and updated with the wyze app Â
what we’re going to do now is we’re going to hitÂ
back because we’re done with our clock faces and Â
there you can see there are all my clock faces andÂ
i spoke incorrectly before like i said there are Â
six possible watch faces that you can have comingÂ
down we have your notifications area will allow Â
you to pick what types of notifications youÂ
want to receive at all to your wyze watch Â
by default you can see up here you have theÂ
option for phone calls and text messages Â
under other applications that are automaticallyÂ
recognized by the wyze app and watch are your wyze Â
instagram gmail calendar everything else thatÂ
you may get notifications from on your phone Â
fall under other you will noticeÂ
that sometimes these messages up here Â
will show up as other on your wyzeÂ
watch keep in mind when i did this Â
originally i could not get notificationsÂ
from anything under the other applications Â
but an update to the wyze firmware made it soÂ
that you have to allow two different permissions Â
to run in the background in order to get these toÂ
work on your watch one would be to allow the one Â
to allow the wyze app for the watch especiallyÂ
when you look at the update cycle or the firmwares Â
for the 47 and the 44 millimeter there that you goÂ
into here in the release cycle allow for that to Â
be pushed through all these extra features you’reÂ
going to select back because now we’re going to Â
go to stretch reminder what this will do is afterÂ
50 minutes of inactivity from the watch being Â
dormant but why not give you a little reminderÂ
save yourself some trouble you see a little Â
stretch icon on your screen and buzzes your wristÂ
you can quickly tap the button on the side of the Â
watch to tell it to go away or you can actuallyÂ
get up and do what it says you can also set this Â
between a time frame so for me i set it between 10Â
am and 5 pm this way it’s not at the very start of Â
my work day but it is at the end of my workdayÂ
so i don’t have this trying to tell me to get up Â
and stretch in the middle of the night or afterÂ
working hours activity goal if we come in here Â
you can see hey we’re going to set activity goalsÂ
and you can turn this on or off and it will pop Â
up with little notifications you’ve reached yourÂ
step goal you’ve reached your calorie goal these Â
are adjustable just by clicking on them there areÂ
preset ones but you can change that to whatever Â
you’d like it to be as long as it exists withinÂ
the preset scroll coming back do not disturb mode Â
so for me i don’t want notifications or anythingÂ
being pushed so i turn this on and i set this for Â
10 pm to 8 am granted that’s not quite when i goÂ
to bed but that’s when i’d like to stop receiving Â
notifications on my wrist you could turn this onÂ
and off depending on how you want to use it but Â
this is how i use it rise to wake what this isÂ
is moving your wrist to a position that brings Â
it into a wake mode i’ll admit this one’s kindaÂ
hit a miss in my opinion it requires a lot of Â
turning uh more than i thought it would for thisÂ
to actually actuate correctly the beauty of it Â
though is you can set a start time and an endÂ
time for when you’d like that to happen because Â
you don’t want to be raising your wrist in theÂ
middle of the night and have this screen blaring Â
in your face so set a start time and end time ifÂ
you’re going to use this next which side are you Â
wearing your wrist on in my case i’m wearing onÂ
my left hand but you could choose left or right Â
simply by clicking right here which seems aÂ
little odd because you want to click up there Â
scrolling down running in the background wellÂ
the wyze app does need to run in the background Â
so you just just have to indicate what your phoneÂ
is and then it will take you to the menu where Â
you can tell to run in the background comingÂ
down weather app you can either have it set Â
to automatically pick up the weather based onÂ
your location i have that currently toggled off Â
because right here it will show the city where itÂ
last picked up your weather in my case i have just Â
told it i’m in Gettysburg tell me the weatherÂ
in Gettysburg and that will be displayed in Â
the weather app on my wrist you can change yourÂ
temperature units between Fahrenheit and Celsius Â
and that is the weather app shortcuts well rightÂ
now i don’t have any shortcuts but you can have Â
up to 10 shortcuts accessible i don’t really likeÂ
the way that the shortcut works because there’s Â
like three to four levels of screens that youÂ
need to get to to actually get to your shortcuts Â
but if we were to create a new shortcut we wouldÂ
simply say add a shortcut and then just like you Â
would with your rules for one of your otherwiseÂ
products whether that’s a wyze cam or a wyze bulb Â
you can set parameters as to what happens when youÂ
press this shortcut button on your wrist so you Â
could turn on a wyze bulb you could turn on or offÂ
a wyze camera all from your wrist it’s it’s a nice Â
ad but in my opinion not the best use of the watchÂ
coming down to the bottom that was all just on our Â
watch tab if we come over to our data tab thisÂ
is where all the information that’s being sucked Â
out of your watch is ending up here we could seeÂ
steps based on the current date and time because Â
everything sunk eight calories the o2 heart rateÂ
and sleep i did not wear the watch this morning so Â
that’s why a lot of these are off but if we clickÂ
on any one of these items you could see that it’s Â
broken down to today i can select week or i canÂ
select month and here you can see and then it says Â
monthly total daily average we can even toggleÂ
between months if we want to and that is for Â
each of these items so here we can see caloriesÂ
i can go to month that’s basic listing of the Â
calories so because the o2 sensor is not runningÂ
constantly in the background or doesn’t have the Â
option to run constantly in the background you’llÂ
notice that there’s a lot less data for that Â
however heart rate because i have that runningÂ
all the time you can kind of get an idea here Â
of heart rate and again last one and then a rangeÂ
sleep sleep was interesting i kind of know i don’t Â
sleep very well here you can see average awake 32Â
minutes for this month four hours of light sleep Â
four hours of deep sleep if we come back to theÂ
previous month monthly data right there you can Â
see it’s about the same but it is color codedÂ
so that you can see this data if you wanted to Â
now the major difference between the 44 millimeterÂ
and the larger wyze watch is this data or at least Â
some of this data is visible on the watch if youÂ
get the larger one if you get the smaller version Â
none of this is accessible which kind of upsetsÂ
me my information that’s going to show you your Â
information male or female you’re born weightÂ
height and we’re just not going to show you that Â
if i come back to the watch section that’s goingÂ
to give you information about the watch itself Â
so we’re not going to show that because that’sÂ
mac address and all that fun happy stuff Â
but that is all the stuff that you can doÂ
with the wyze application for the wyze watch Â
44 millimeter i do wish that they kind of hadÂ
a little more in the app selection but i kind Â
of get it it’s a cheaper watch you’re not going toÂ
get a lot there but hopefully you found a portion Â
of the application for the wyze watch helpful so iÂ
know it sounds like i’ve been harping on the wyze Â
watch and i have been a little bit but you mustÂ
keep in mind the actual price point of this watch Â
and i’m gonna give you a range because wyze isÂ
doing some weird stuff with their pricing model Â
right now you can get the 44 millimeter versionÂ
between 20 to 25 depending on where you get it Â
if it is on the actual wyze website or anotherÂ
website one of the problems i had right before Â
i was doing this review was i was looking upÂ
some extra data points that i hadn’t put down Â
originally and this watch the 44 millimeter isÂ
not on their site anymore and i don’t understand Â
if it’s they are not making it anymore or ifÂ
they just took it down because they need to Â
produce more models but generally when they doÂ
that it says sold out under it i had to use the Â
wayback machine to actually get some informationÂ
about this watch so i am concerned that the 44Â Â
millimeter version of this watch may no longerÂ
be available because again this is the perfect Â
size for a child or somebody with daintier wristsÂ
such as myself the one thing to consider with the Â
watch whether it’s the 47 or the 44 millimeterÂ
version is that you get one watch per account Â
so 144 millimeter or 147 millimeter if you have aÂ
small child they will need an account of their own Â
is that bad no is that good in that you have aÂ
cheaper lightweight fairly accurate and usable Â
throwaway watch at that price pointÂ
again depending on how you view 20 to 25Â Â
it’s up to you but in the grand scheme of thingsÂ
when you’re looking at a smart watch in general Â
uh you’re looking at hundreds of dollarsÂ
so just like their fitness tracker Â
which undercuts a lot of the competitors outÂ
there you will undercut a lot of competitors Â
with this particular watch as well it doesÂ
lose a lot of the extra bells and whistles Â
and functionality and maybe smoothnessÂ
that those more expensive brands will have Â
but if this is your first foray into a smart watchÂ
it is well worth checking out with that being said Â
