Patek Philippe Calatrava Pilot Limited Edition Steel Watch 5522A Review | SwissWatchExpo

Right here I have the Patek Philippe Calatrava
Pilot special edition. It’s sort of a mouthful.
But I wanted to talk about this one a little bit
today. Stock number is 33078. If I can get that
in a picture, this is a little bit different
than what you typically see from the Calatrava
line. They’re more of a traditional size. This
is actually a 42 millimeter. And I — one of
the things I like most about this is, I don’t
know if you can see this or if I’m going to be
able to pick it up, that dial is actually like a
dark, very, very dark Navy. And if you get it in
the right light, actually it looks black. So it
has this sort of playful effect when it gets in
the right lighting. I think the elegance of the
font on this as one of my favorite parts too.
You don’t actually — typically — you don’t
typically see this on almost any other watch.
They really played around with the font
on this. And what I also like about it
is that they’ve blacked out the end of the
marker and this sweeping hand there. And so
all you can see is the tip. So it is tuned

for
precision. This is an extremely accurate watch.
And of course, you’ll get your
your case back. Isn’t it pretty?
