Polene Numero Neuf mini unboxing review and what fits inside my bag
hi everyone, welcome back to the channel, thank you for joining me for today’s video which is going to be a Polene Numero Neuf mini handbag unboxing review and what fits inside my bag. In today’s video we’re going to have a look at the Polene Numero Neuf mini handbag, the design and features of the bag, we’ll have a look at the brand, the sizing and measurements, the range of colors that are available for Polene’s Numero Neuf mini handbag, the international price list, different ways you can wear this bag and what actually fits inside the bag. So

Now just quickly before we jump into the unboxing of Polene’s Numero Neuf mini handbag, I did just want to share that when it comes to handbags, Polene is one of my go-to brands. So this is the third handbag that I’ve had from the brand, I did have the Polene Numero Un
in Noir, that was the very first bag I bought, the same bag which I’ve had now for a year is the Polene Numero Un mini and this
I was trying to decide between the Numero Neuf mini, the Numero Sept mini and also Polene’s new handbag which is called Tonca, They’re all three very different styles but ultimately I did decide to end up going with the numero neuf mini and I’ll share more details about that with you as we go through the review. So in terms of when you order a handbag online from Polene, it does come packaged up in their signature box and we’ve actually got the name of the handbag on the front there, so this is the style so opening it
up I do have a really lovely little card here with a um little note from Polene which was really lovely and then the bag comes packaged up with the signature Polene tissue paper there and so as I’m unboxing this I did just want to touch on the brand quickly, for anyone who is new to the brand. Polene is a French handbag and leather goods retailer and they have their atelier in Spain, so the handbags are designed in Europe and one of the things which I absolutely adore about their handbags is just the quality and the
expert craftsmanship. All of the Polene handbags come with the signature protective dust bag here and opening this up we have the numero neuf mini and this is just an absolutely gorgeous little handbag. Obviously I decided to go for this in the classic black colorway because I did actually need a black handbag in my collection. There’s a matching leather strap as well and they obviously take a lot of care with the packaging because I’ve got the bubble wrap there so the little top handle stays in place. So I’ve just put the strap on now and I’ll
just take, there’s some tissue paper also in the bottom of the bag just to help it keep its shape, so I’ll take that out. We’ll touch on the design and features of this gorgeous little handbag here, so Polene’s numero neuf mini is the smaller version of one of their signature handbags called the numero neuf or number nine. What instantly drew me to the Numero Neuf or number nine bag in mini size was the design, so this is a really eye-catching, uniquely shaped handbag with flowing curves. It has almost a draping effect which is really prominent
on the sides of the bag. This is a top handle handbag and it has quite a thicker top handle strap here which is a little bit wider than what you might normally find with a lot of top handle handbags. Another feature which is quite evident is that this comes with a crossbody or shoulder strap here and this strap is, like so many of Polene’s other handbags, this strap is actually adjustable as well. It’s detachable obviously so if you didn’t want to have the strap on there you can just use it as a top handle handbag
but I think that a great thing about the design of this bag is just the versatility of use, so you can carry it in multiple ways. Another design element about the Polene Numero Neuf mini handbag is that there is minimal branding, like so many of the other handbags in Polene’s range there’s not a lot of branding. There are little touches so we do have the Polene logo on some of the hardware, so on the strap for example and there is the Polene logo there on one side of the back but apart from that it’s a
very very minimalistic in terms of branding, so this is the type of bag that in terms of the brand if you know then you know. The numero neuf mini has a magnetic button closure, so we’ve also got the little Polene logo on there, I’ve got to take the sticker off but it is button magnetic so it does easily close like that and I think one of the great things about the mini size from what I can see is that it would actually be very hard for someone to get their hands in on either side when
the bag is closed, so that’s another design element which is great in terms of security and safety. And lastly in terms of the design and features, there’s not any inner pockets in this bag so it is just an open space in there and as you can probably tell from the shape of the bag I think it seems possibly like a trapezoid shape, I’m not sure what the shape is, I’m sure someone will let me know in the comments but it is uniquely designed in terms of it is um obviously got a lot of space down
at the bottom of the bag and then it comes up like that and that is sort of how wide it looks on the bottom and we’ve got the the stitching there which also comes up the side of the bag at the front there. Moving on to material the Polene numero neuf mini handbag is made from 100% full grain textured calf leather. It feels a very smooth, supple and soft to the touch. I did show this handbag to my mum when it first arrived and even she made a comment on how lovely the leather felt, how
supple and smooth it was and also in terms of the strap as well. Now I’m going to pull the lining out so you guys can see, so the inside lining is made from 100% cotton and unfortunately I have to say that the lining is where we come to a con or one of the drawbacks for me personally when it comes to this particular handbag, Now because this handbag is in black leather and we’ve got black lining on the inside I can see that this would make it a little bit challenging to be able to find
things very quickly particularly if you are in a rush so if I could suggest one improvement to Polene for this particular handbag, it would be for the black leather version to actually have a lighter colored inner lining, just to increase the ease in finding things and it’s my understanding that at the black colored inner lining is probably a feature specifically to the black leather for the Polene numero Neuf mini handbag. So I can see that online the lighter colored leather options for this particular bag have a lighter colored inner lining. We’re going to have a
look at the sizing, the measurement and the actual weight of this handbag next, so over the last few years as I mentioned I have actually downsized in terms of the size of my handbags. So this is my most used handbag over the last year, I have had it for pretty much 12 months now and I took this on my holiday to Europe in June. I basically used this for probably 70% of that month while I was on holidays, this is also one of my go-to handbags when I’m going to the office or even out on
the weekend as well. Now downsizing to a mini size handbag such as this one or now this one, so you can sort of data has meant that I have needed to downsize the amount of things that I carry with me or reduce the amount of things that I fit in my handbag. It has taken a little bit of adjustment to get used to because I do like to be prepared for every eventuality but I have found that I have been able to adjust so that is something to keep in mind if you are thinking of
purchasing this mini size handbag but I will be able to share with you guys what actually fits inside this handbag in a few minutes. So the numero neuf mini handbag measurements are 23 and a half centimeters in length, 14 centimeters in height and 13 centimeters in width. The shoulder strap measures between 98 centimeters to 119 centimeters long and it is adjustable so you can easily tailor the length of the strap to suit your own height and also to suit how you want to carry it, so whether that’s over the shoulder or crossbody and one of
the most surprising and really awesome things about this handbag is the weight of it. When it’s empty it weighs in at 430 grams so if you are someone that is looking for a light handbag then I think taking a look at the mini bags in their range would be a really great option and this one is super light, considering the quality and the feel of the leather. I am quite surprised at how light it actually is so I think that’s another great bonus if you’re thinking of purchasing this bag. Quickly touching upon the different colors
of the Polene Numero Neuf mini handbag, so there are nine colors currently available in Poland’s numero neuf mini handbag range and some of the colors that I really adore are the light blue, there’s also a buttery yellow and a classic camel colorway. I think that the black is obviously a very classic option but I do think this handbag also looks lovely in some of the more fun and brighter colors as well. Different ways to wear the Polene Numero Neuf mini handbag. So there are four ways that you can potentially wear this handbag, the first one
is obviously carrying it as a top handle, you can also carry it in the crook of your arm and it can be worn over the shoulder or even as a crossbody bag. Next up is pricing, so I did want to include a variation of prices depending upon where you’re located in the world so you can get a sense of how much this handbag costs, but I think that again one of the great things and I’ve said this you know before about Polene, whether it’s in a Blog review that I’ve done on the Numero Un Mini
or in other review videos that I’ve done on my channel as well, is that I think the affordability of these handbags is amazing. I honestly think Polene could definitely charge more for these handbags than what they do. They’re so beautifully and uniquely designed, the quality of the leather is always amazing and they wear really, really well. I think this is just a testament to the craftsmanship, the attention to detail the style and the actual quality of the materials that Polene use. I think they’re really affordably priced and particularly if you are looking for an alternative
option than a, you know, much more expensive luxury designer bag, then I think Polene has a great range in terms of affordability and what you get back in terms of versatility, quality and use. What fits inside, so now we’re going to take a look at what fits inside the Polene Numero Neuf mini handbag and this is a really important part of the review that I’m sure a lot of you are really interested in, so I’m going to show you guys in a different angle hopefully you’ll be able to see, it is going to be quite
challenging because we do have black colored lining but hopefully I’ll be able to talk you guys through exactly what can fit inside. Now because this doesn’t actually have any inner flap or zippered pockets when it comes to carrying cards my normal Louis Vuitton Clemence wallet is not going to fit and I don’t currently have a card holder so I am going to put my cards in this little coin purse here that I got from Croatia and I’m just going to sit that in there. Next up I’m going to place in a little mirror and some
tissues as well some mints here I’ve got a lipstick lip balm got my keys a little mini hand cream I’ve got my Samsung s20 mobile phone and I’m also going to place a pair of sunglasses in there as well, oh and one last thing I forgot is hand sanitizer too. Okay so I’ve placed all of that inside the bag, hopefully you guys can see that there. So we do still have a fair amount of room here and I am able to close the bag there so it neatly fits. Obviously the bag is a little bit
heavier now that I’ve got things in there but it’s definitely not too heavy for me in terms of being able to carry it around, so I’d say in terms of what you can fit inside the bag, there is actually quite a lot that you can fit in here and I think that looks can be deceiving when it comes to this bag because we do have a lot more room here down on the bottom and then it sort of tapers up that way it is quite wide on the side as well. So my overall thoughts on
this handbag. So overall what do I really love and what don’t I love about this bag? Well as I mentioned some cons are the black inner lining when it comes to the black leather version and potentially the size but I think if you are in the market for a mini handbag then the size of this isn’t really going to be a con for you, so if you are someone that can adjust to carrying around a little bit less then this is a really great option. What are the things that I do love about this handbag?
First of all the design of it, so the shape, it is so unique I cannot think of another brand or particular handbag style that is similar to this, if you guys can think of it please let me know in the comments but this particular bag, like so many of Polene’s handbags is just so unique in terms of the design. It’s very, very feminine – it almost has like a little dumpling shape to it. I do love the draping effect that we’ve got on the sides, that’s evident in the top handle as well. Another thing I
love is that it is so light, the versatility, so you can carry it so many different ways and also the minimal branding as well. Overall thoughts are this is a really, really beautiful and functional handbag that can definitely work for different occasions and for different uses.
