TECH 21 – Fly Rig 5 v2 – Unboxing e Review | EGITANA.pt

Who on that side doesn’t like to get a good pedal? Now imagine that instead of a pedal you get five pedals in one,
as it is, the Tech 21 has a range of multi-effects that combines the best of analogue and digital with just a click.
This is the Fly Rig series that basically compiles a set of effects on a single pedal, no, it is not a pedal board, none of this
is rather a convenient combination of some effects that we all use in the same case,
with quality and versatility that Tech 21 already got us used to, let’s go!
Today we have here the version 2 of Fly Rig 5 brought by Tech 21 SansAmp, we will first move on to unboxing and soon after we will analyze point by point.
So in this convenient chassis we have 5 effects, the tuner, a reverb with 2 modes, a clean boost of 12 dB, an analog delay with
tap tempo and the well-known overdrive that provides us here with sounds between plexi and cali sounds, that is,
we have the best of british and american with the gain to give and to sell and the no less well-known
SansAmp preamp that we will talk about later on.
On this plexi

side we can expect crunches full of ed-rom with a hinged middle zone and very safe bass, these are characteristics of the more British side
of overdrive on the more American side we can select here on the cali button we have that high-gain
very chunky with treble defined and round and that low-end wall-breaking.
The controls are very simple, nothing we are not used to, we have the volume, tone and gain, with this Fly Rig
we also have a linear and super clean boost of 12dB, in other words, it does not color the sound simply increases the
volume points here, we have 1 switch just for boost which means that at any time
I can connect this extra to a solo, drill better in the mix, for example, or thicken a riff here, then I leave it to your creativity.
I haven’t told you to like it if you like it
and to subscribe to our channel, but you already did not already? If you haven’t done it yet, do that favor with the guys, let’s go!
Better than being here with parlapié is to experiment, so before tuning the machine here,
then adjust the volumes,
then from left to right, let’s start with the reverb like that with nothing, increase, let’s go a little bit here.
It is already well noticed and like this at the most, I like to use it like this, ok, then delay
ok, cool, now let’s try this …
We have here a pre / post button that positions the boost at the beginning or at the end of the chain, nothing was left here to chance, let’s hear the difference.
Let’s say that overdrive and boost cover the spectrum from classic Rock to modern high-gain well, let’s continue!
Note that SansAmp is known for its fully analog amp modulations, this preamp that is also included was stolen
, so to speak, to the well-known Tech 21 Blonde that offers three-band equalization, volume
and gain and also the button that turns on or off. turn off the column emulation, if we are here in the maloqueira
we can always turn it all on at once, the blonde, the boost, the plexi, but watch out for your neighbors ok? I warned you!
The integrated SansAmp technology allows you to connect the signal directly to a PA, to a recording table
without sacrificing the sound, but if you use an amplifier you also always have the opportunity to
further increase versatility, on top of that we can add more spatial layers, we have an
analog delay with tap tempo we can go from the quick sleps to the long tails full of environment.
The 8th button changes the delay …
While the drift adds random doses of modulation to make the delay more interesting, the controls are
the usual ones, volume, repetitions and time, in addition to this we also have a reverb with two modes on the foot ,
a shorter one and a longer one with a button that you can activate to your liking.
A tuner that you can connect by momentarily pressing the blonde tuner switch, this switch also works
as a mute, it can be useful and we really like this extra functionality, right?
This Rig also has an FX loop that can work in two ways, or we can connect 1 pedal like a chorus or other modulation
to add complexity to the delays and reverbs, or we can use it to cross the amp
loop and put the delay and reverb after receptive preamp, as a result we will have
these effects with a cleaner voice as they enter directly into the power stage of the amp.
And here we come to the end of our review, I hope to have touched on all the key points, if you have
any questions you already know, let me know in the comments, that’s all, even for the week!
