Urbanista London Review | A disappointment

Nevertheless, what if you want to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the headphones and whether or not they are the ideal headphones for you.

As you can see, this box is very cute, very elegant and has a very interesting detail that it has a relief here.

So, we have the box, which is a very small box.
It even fits in the pockets of women’s pants, which is not an easy task.
I’ll explain in more detail, but, just for you to see, this is the earphone box and the battery indication.

And it also comes with a UCB-C type cable that you can use on your computer, or if you have a charger, to charge the box.
These headsets have Bluetooth 5.0, like most headsets today, to be quite honest.
And I’m going to do the experiment and I’m going to try to connect it to a phone just so you can see that it is quite fast, in my opinion.
To pair the headphones, you have to open the box and they must be, if it is the first time you are going to pair them, still inside the box.
So I turn on Bluetooth now.
Note that you cannot have connected them at multiple points. Therefore, if you have connected them to another computer or mobile phone, they must first disconnect from the mobile phone or computer before they can connect to another mobile phone.

I’ll call you right now and, as you can see, super fast, Urbanista London are already paired with the cell phone.
I have no IOS device, so I was unable to take this test.
I think there will be no problem, just as there is for Android, because they say it is compatible with both systems.
So, I don’t expect you to have any problems using one of the types of systems.
A problem with these headsets is that, being connected to Bluetooth 5.0, supposedly, they can work up to 10 meters, some even work a little more.
However, I have not seen this happen. I can tell you that I connected the headphones to the computer and just left my room for them to lose the connection.
And this, honestly, I don’t like, because I like to do a lot of things while I’m listening to music, like cleaning the house.
And I can tell you that if you are like me and like to leave your phone in one place and go and clean the house, no matter how small your house is, it is impossible.
You will not be able to do it, you will always have to carry the phone next to you.
This is the design of Urbanista London.
As you can see, they are relatively similar to Airpods Pro in terms of design.
And Urbanista made these headphones in this pink color, very beautiful. He also did it in white, black, dark blue and burgundy.
As you can see, this part up here is relatively wide, which, at least for my ear, is not very comfortable.
That is, if you are the type of person who likes to watch movies, or listen to music, or games, or the like, for many hours, these headphones can become downright uncomfortable, which is not a very positive aspect of them.
And here in this zone, they have in-ear detection.
And I think that these are microphones, the top and bottom.
The touch controls are here where you have the brand logo. I will put them up for you to see.
There is no main phone, so, in relation to in-ear detection, you take the left or you take the right is perfectly indifferent, it automatically stops.
And it also has an interesting feature that, in short, this is also more or less general among the headphones, but that you can lend a headset to a friend.
As long as it is close, to also be able to hear the same music as you and, again, it does not matter whether it is the right or the left.
I’m going to put the headphones back on to demonstrate the touch controls.
So, I’m going to do a little demonstration of how it works.
If you play up here, exactly where the logo is, twice, like this, what it does is that the music resumes.
For example, if you take a headset off and want to continue listening to the music, it plays twice, perfect.
If they want to listen to the music again, or put the phone back on, this is not the case, but assuming they are in a situation where they do not want to take the headphones off.
Put it on, play one, two again, ok !? Simple, that’s all.
Touching the left handset logo once reduces the volume and the right handset logo increases the volume.
I must say that I have had some difficulties with the volume issue, because I often increase and decrease … I try to increase or decrease the volume and I can’t.
And I have to use my cell phone or computer to do this.
Regarding answering calls, you click once too, once too.
The difference here is that he can recognize that a call is taking place and so you can answer the call.
To hang up the call is exactly the same thing, once.
To reject a call, you hold down the logo on the left or the logo on the right and, again, it recognizes that you are on a call.
Now, there is a command here that I will talk about in more detail later, but if you want to turn on active noise cancellation, you leave it here for a while.
And he says that noise cancellation is active. If you want to turn off active noise cancellation, just press again and it is OFF.
On the other hand, it has yet another feature, which is ambient sound.
You click here, press the left side for a few seconds, it will tell you that the ambient sound is active, and to turn off, the same thing.
They can also switch from one to the other, that is, if they don’t want to turn off, they have active noise cancellation and, suddenly, they want to turn on the ambient sound.
They press for a few seconds and it automatically turns on the ambient sound without having to turn off that feature.
It also has an additional feature, which is to be able to call the Google assistant or Siri.
And, for that, click once more on the logo twice.
Unfortunately, Urbanista London does not have a function to skip songs or go back.
However, you can watch your Google assistant, Siri, or any other assistant you use that is compatible with the headphones to do so.
It is not always very comfortable. If you are, for example, on the metro and, for those who don’t know, the metro in Lisbon is very very noisy and always a lot of people.
It may not be very comfortable and the headphones may not react very well.
Another interesting feature is that these headphones are water resistant because they follow the IPX4 standard.
That is, for those who do not know, it is basically a rule that tells you that these headphones are resistant, yes, to sweat and running or walking, even if it is raining.
But please, you are not going to bathe with them and you are not going to dive with them because they are likely to be spoiled.
Regarding the battery, as I indicated a little while ago, they are charged with UCB type C cable.
And you can see their battery here. Right now, they have two out of four.
These headphones have a duration of 5 hours for each use, but with the box, they can reach 25 hours.
I tried to listen to music with them for 5 hours, it worked, but I didn’t have active noise cancellation triggered.
So I believe that with noise cancellation triggered or with ambient sound, it lasts less than 5 hours, like most headphones, even high-end ones.
These headphones were designed with the support of Axel Grell, who is Senheiser’s Chief Headphone Engineer, so the expectation is that the sound will be quite good.
But I’m going to do a test here with a more standard pop song, and I’m also going to test a dubstep song so you can see the difference.
Since the headphones are not customizable, they do not have an app for it, it is a little difficult that they look good for all types of music.
So, for people who like to listen more to this genre of music, dubstep, house, rock, hard-rock, I believe that they may not be the ideal headphones.
Especially, with active noise cancellation, it gets a strange sound.
Another peculiarity that I have to warn you is that the headphones do not sound very loud, unfortunately.
Which means that you have to put the sound on your phone or computer to the maximum to hear music correctly.
Back in my ears, let us now talk about the big factor that led me to consider these headphones a disappointment, active noise cancellation and ambient sound.
I really wanted these headphones because, in addition to being very beautiful, and having a whole series of features that I like, they had active noise canceling.
That was something I was looking for and that I really wanted in some true wireless headphones.
However, and I must say it was a big disappointment for me, when I tried to test active noise cancellation it didn’t work.
Please, if any of you disagree and think it worked, leave your opinion in the comments.
But I tested it with background music, I tested it with people talking, I tested it with the dryer, I tested it with cars on the street, with various types of sounds and, host, I heard exactly the same as when active noise cancellation was off .
The ambient sound does what is expected.
In my opinion, a little too much, but, in the end, it is what was expected of an ambient sound that is to increase the sound of what is around us.
I tested it, for example, with the air conditioner and what happened is that the headphones in normal mode was that I heard the air conditioner sound low and when I turned on the ambient sound it increased that sound considerably.
It’s a little strange, I must admit. Nevertheless, I think that here it fulfills what was promised.
When it comes to calls, as I showed you initially, I think they have four microphones, one above and one below.
However, I was unable to find specific information regarding the number of microphones.
However, I consider that you do a very reasonable job, the quality of the calls is good, you can use it in terms of the office or in your working life.
However, active noise cancellation does not work here either in terms of the microphone.
I tested in more rigorous and less rigorous environments, that is, with more noise or less noise.
And what I realized is that the person on the other side had some difficulties in listening to me.
I will now pass the microphone test so that you can understand how the microphone works.
This is a test of the Urbanista London microphone.

In terms of games, videos, I didn’t notice any concrete lag on these headphones.
However, I will do the test so that you can also have your opinion on this aspect.
Finally, I would also like to mention a relatively important point here that I purposely left for the end so as not to bias your opinion.
It’s the price. On the brand’s website they are for sale, if I’m not mistaken, for 130 euros.
However, you can find it on German Amazon or even, currently, on Spanish, for 80 euros.

If you happen to be watching this video from another country, as it is the case you are watching, for example, from Brazil, I did not find these headphones for sale on Brazilian Amazon.
However, I think they will be able to buy them by brand, if they have that desire.
We reached the final verdict, I give these headphones from Urbanista London 5.5. in 10.
And I want you to realize that this is justified exclusively by what I already mentioned and not by the brand itself.
Especially because they have other headphones, other models, such as Paris, Stockholm, Athens, and I don’t know them.
So I have absolutely nothing against the brand, of course, I just didn’t like these headphones.
I strongly recommend that the brand work on some changes, as is the case with the model of the headphones, improve active noise cancellation, work a little better on sound, especially when noise cancellation is on.
