Vacheron Constantin Jalousie Shutter White Gold Diamond Ladies 91002 Watch Review | SwissWatchExpo

Fresh from the Showcase here at SwissWatchExpo.
I have an absolutely fascinating new arrival from
one of the most prestigious watchmakers in all
of history. And well, let’s just dive into it
because this is really a sight to behold.
This is a Vacheron Constantin Jalousie is
what they call it. I’m only like 90% certain I’m
pronouncing that correctly. But as you can tell,
this is an absolutely stunning watch. And it’s
a very, very rare reference that you can tell
just by looking at it. This is not something they
would make a ton of, at first glance. You’re not
even going to have to miss it. You have this
beautiful looking shuttering effect over the
entire dial that is just covered in Vacheron
factory diamonds. And the most beautiful thing
here is you have this sort of secondary sliding
crown here, which beautifully displays this dial.
And even though the dial is completely
covered by diamonds, it is an absolutely
beautiful looking one at that, it is a very, very
rich white color and the blued steel, a sword
hands here look absolutely stunning. This is
reminiscent of a Cartier Tank in a lot of ways,
but elevated in well, just so many fashions.
The square case is still

very classic,
very traditional. And this is actually an updated
reference of the original Jalousie which is
from the 1930s, I believe. So they kept all the
dimensions the same, although this case size is
slightly larger. It’s a lady size, but
29 millimeters wide by I believe by 25
across. So a little bit more modern, a little bit
larger than what would have been a very classic
traditional tank watch when it was originally
released. And of course you have diamonds,
not only covering the dial, but around all
four corners of this case and the lugs, too.
So this is a very elegant, very rare piece that
is going to make a very special addition to
someone’s probably already extensive collection.
Obviously you can get lost in this dial, but on
the back, we do have some beautifully elegant
and classic looking European style engraving
on the back. And we do have this original
leather Vacheron strap. And of course the standard
Maltese cross deployant buckle here on the back.
This watch really bears no expense. And I am told
it is a very, very limited production with only a
few models being released in each metal, always
precious metal. This one’s a beautiful 18 carat,
white gold. You can imagine something with such a
stunning design wouldn’t come in stainless steel,
but this might be the only one we see for quite
a while. So if this catches your eye, do not
hesitate. I don’t know when I’ll see this again,
and you can put it on your wrist and no time,
if you just give us a call at SwissWatchExpo.com.
