Doctor Charles F Stanls dedication to serving the church began at 14 years old, when, his biography says he first recd the call to ministry after graduating from the University of Richmond in 1950. Six He spent years leading churches across the South. In 1969, he became associate par at First Baptist Church Atlanta, where he would lead the congregation for 51 years. His vision would take him and his message beyond the four walls

of the church and even beyond the borders of the US. In my office at the time was a living Bible called In Touch, and I just knew it wae right name for what God was calling us to do. After

starting the Chapel Hour in 1972, which aired on 11 Aliv, Stanley founded. In Touch Ministries, which eventually grew into a broadcast airing in 70 languages across the globe, and in 2020 he started a new chapter. Being your pastor, I know in my heart this season has come to an end. To be clear, he retired from preaching

at First Baptist Church, Atlanta, but remained pastor emeritus until his passing a life spent in service to his faith.
