Texas Rangers Opening Day: A look behind the Globe Life dugouts

Have you ever wondered about those parts of Globe life field that you can’t see when you’re in the bleachers? Those parts that aren’t open to the public where the players spend their time before the games? Getting a better idea of that this morning? Yeah, let’s get back to Chris Soggy. Chris, you gotta live like a Ranger. Well, Suzanne, this was my lucky week. I got to shoot the baskets at the American Airlines Center on Monday. I already asked they are not going to let me step into the cage and take BP, so that’s a bummer.

But you know, this is season #4 for global life field. By now, fans should know their way around this park, but there are parts of it that they cannot see. That’s why I’m here for a special look behind the scenes of the ballpark. You can’t see it from the field, but if you take a step into and then out of the Rangers dugout, there’s some batting cages where players can take a few swings whenever they need it. And if you need to keep exploring, you’ll find kubotas everywhere using this underground loop to haul materials to

and from all the restaurants, concessions, and other stadium operations going on. Then you’ll come across the visitors locker room that gets tailored to each opponent. There’s a Philadelphia Phillies logo there now, and the Phillies even have their own special

hand sanitizer. Blackard and as the visitors head to the field, they can check out the already impressive list of performers that include Lady Gaga, Sir Elton John and others who left their placards and autograph after performing at Globe Life. But across from the visitors locker room, a reminder that they’re not at home. They are in Texas.

And there are gonna be some noticeable changes on the field that fans will not be able to miss if they come out to a game. Big rule changes that are changing the entire game of baseball and will have a significant impact on the viewing experience. We’re going to talk those rule changes coming up in about 20 minutes. Mark and Suzanne, back to you. Alright, thanks, Chris. I mean, it’s right there. You could just step over into the batting cage and get Greg to throw you a heater and just see what you can do with it.

No one stopping you, Chris. We can always use cleanup.
