Hello and welcome to my channel.
Today we will be talking about the Hardik
Mehta’s horror comedy- Roohi.
Roohi released in Cinemas on 11th March this
year, and eventually on OTT platforms like
Netflix and Jio Cinema on 8th April.
Roohi is an addition to the Horror Comedy
world from the makers of Stree.
It is rumored that the makers are planning
to create a universe where all these stories
will link up in a Marvels Avengers kind of
way.
That would be fun.
Exciting as that sounds, while watching Roohi
one cant help but compare it to its Super
Hit Predecessor Stree.
So before you decide on spending your precious
2 hours and 14 minutes watching this movie,
here are a few things you should know.
The Plot: The movie showcases Rajkumar Rao
as Bhawra and Varun Sharma as Kattani.
The duo is a part of a Racket run for kidnapping
girls for forceful weddings.
As dark as the concept seems, it is shown
in a rather hilarios way.
In the background there is a mystery about
a rumored Witch who happens to kidnap newly
wed brides as she is jealous of them.
Bhawra and Kattani are assigned a task to
kidnap Roohi played by Janhvi Kapoor for a
forceful wedding.
The duo bring her to a cabin in the woods
where the havoc begins.
Pros: The performances by Rajkumar Rao and
Varun Sharma are stunning.
Their comic timing is great and they tend
to make even a not so great joke

into something
hilarios.
The story is rather unique unfolds well.
The sountrack consisting of Nadiyon Par and
Panghat turned out to be chartbusters.
Cons: The mystery element of the movie was
disclosed rather prematurely and didnt have
the fear element like Stree.
Personally I am rather timid and shy away
from Horror movies, but I could comfortably
sit through it without getting bad dreams
for days at lenght.
The story was so unique but it was underplayed.
The creators could have explored it more and
added fun elements however they focused the
movie on the three main characters and their
journey alone.
Unlike Stree where we had an amazing support
case like Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana
and Abhishek Banerjee.
The movie did not have any catchy dialogues
and relied on the age old horror music of
jump and scare to create the errie impact.
Overall, Saily Says this movie is a good one
time watch.
Try not to compare it with Stree and you will
enjoy watching it.
