Vivo Y100 Unboxing and Quick Review | Colour changing design, 80W charging, AMOLED display

Hello and welcome to ReviewsPK. My name is Ameer. And this is Vivo Y100, Vivo’s latest mid-range handset, which is also a color-changing phone. There is only one variant being launched in Pakistan, with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The retail price is Rs 60,000. And as you know, this

Rs 60,000 price point is very hot right now. We have seen a lot of back-to-back launches in the past few weeks. There are some key features of the phone, its best-in-class fast charging speed, its display and media consumption experience, and looking at the past, at least I am

expecting a beautiful phone here. And there is a good news for you guys as well, if you follow Vivo’s mid-range phones, then you will definitely appreciate one feature of this phone. Anyways, let’s start our unboxing. So, Vivo Y100 comes in this white color box, and it has a

blue and purple Y printed on it. Some main specs of the phone are mentioned on the back of the box. Now, let’s unwrap the box. And as soon as we open the box, our handset is at the top. We have this phone in Breeze Green color today. And

by the way, its color changes in the sun, it turns into a dark green color, the color of the Pakistani flag. Will go ahead and check it out. First, let’s look at the remaining contents of the box. Along with the phone,

we get a hard-shell plastic case, along

with some user manuals. Moving forward, this is an important selling point of this phone, its 80W Vivo Flash Charger, along with a USB Type-C charging cable, and at the end, there is a SIM Ejector Tool. Now, if we come to its design, let me start by saying that

Vivo has kept up the tradition of making beautiful phones. The back of the phone is in this soft-touch matte finish, and there is an abstract wave pattern on it. But the game is on when the phone is exposed to sunlight and it turns into a dark green color.

Inculded camera module And we can also make designs on it in our free time. Anyway, coming back to the design of the phone, the frame is flat here, and it is kept in a chrome finish. And there is a fluorite anti-glare glass film on the back. If we

talk about the physical dimensions, this green one is approximately 8mm thick, which is considered to be the average thickness in phones these days, whereas the weight of the phone is 196 grams. If we talk about the black one, there are some differences in dimensions here. This one is

a little slim, it is a little light as well, so it is 7.8mm thick, and weighs 186 grams. relatively in phones considered slim now days Vivo Y100 IP54 dust and splash resistance is also given, which is a standard thing at a price point of Rs.60,000 There is a

camera module at the back, which is completely flush with the back. Of Course The camera bump So Minimal. And there is a dual camera setup inside it. But the camera hardware here is surprisingly entry-level. There is a 50MP main camera with f1.8 aperture, along with a 2MP depth

sensor. And this third lens looks like a camera only, but actually it is a flicker sensor, which detects the flickering of the lights. Honestly, I didn’t even know that this flicker sensor is also a thing. But be careful here, because it looks like a triple camera setup, but

it isn’t. Now here Check out some camera Samples. So, there are decent results, thanks to Vivo’s algorithms. But I definitely felt the lower resolution of 50MP. The maximum video recording resolution of the back camera is 1080p at 30 frames per second. Moving forward, so again, it is an

entry-level type of hardware. Have 8MP selfie shooter I must say that where we have seen selfie kings from Vivo in the past, there I wasn’t expecting such a basic camera setup from Vivo. 8MP selfie cameras, we expect at a price point of Rs 20,000 to 30,000 right now.

And even though Vivo’s processing and algorithms are very solid, with such a low-grade hardware, how much will the software do? The maximum video recording resolution of the front camera is 1080p at 30 frames per second. Moving forward, let’s talk about this display and here too we see some

strong specs. It is a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, the resolution is Full HD, refresh rate is 120Hz, and this display also becomes very bright with 1800 nits.
