hey molly it’s so nice to see you
it’s a blast to see you too i’m so
fascinated to hear about this movie the
355.
this is only in theaters right
that’s right and it’s really great
because it sort of takes a genre that
we’re familiar with espionage and action
and flips it on its head by putting a
bunch of a-list actresses in roles as an
ensemble like we’ve never seen them
before and it really is an antidote to
the people who always complain you know
there’s nothing new in hollywood we’re
always seeing the same thing over and
over there’s just remakes and sequels
and this is fresh
okay so tell us about the cast
sure we’ve got jessica chastain and it’s
her produced by her production company
freckle films it’s kind of like a james
bond mission impossible type movie it’s
written by teresa rebecca who’s the
creator of tv’s smash and co-stars
penelope cruz lupita
kruger we’ve got sebastian stan and
edgar ramirez in there too and again
it’s really great seeing these ladies
perform in a way that i don’t know had
jessica not produced it had they been
given the opportunity to do roles like
this wow what a cast and great point
about their role so i’m guessing that
you think the script writing is pretty
decent
it’s great because you know we’ve seen
movies like ocean’s eight before with an
ensemble of women in this kind of film
what’s different here is they don’t
apologize for being women and they’re
it’s almost as though it was written for
a group of men and they just made them
uh cast them with women so they’re
really playing the stereotypical male
roles their responses to the
relationships to the men in their life
and how they relate to their careers and
how they relate to each other but they
also don’t shy away from the fact that
they’re women they’re very open about
that and they and they you know their
their strength is their vulnerability
and their beauty and the angles that
they can use with their using emotion
appropriately so it is real girl power
well i like that and i love some of the
the the color in this and the the
costuming i’m wondering too if if you
think the action is good like and what
about the locations
i love the locations it’s all over the
world and the action is really great it
makes me think of like you know remember
jurassic world with bryce dallas howard
and everybody was making fun of the fact
that she’s running around chasing uh
running from dinosaurs and heels well
here there yeah they have times where
they look beautiful other times they are
more you know industrial and wearing
flats and stuff but still still doing
everything that any guy could do and i
loved it so i think it’s a really fun
fresh movie to see check it out in
theaters see it this weekend if you’d
like something fresh and new
you can only see it in theaters this
weekend the 355 it is have a fantastic
