Bravo Issues Statement Condemning "Fans" Attacking Garcelle's Son + Petition Reaches 5K+ Signatures

– Bravo has released this statement in regards to Garcelle’s son being attacked by Bravo fans, so is Diana Jenkins, and Bravo fans have launched a petition for Bravo to investigate the possibility of bots being paid for to attack Garcelle’s son. (water drips) Welcome back to the Kempire Daily YouTube channel, your number one source for pop culture news in music, entertainment, reality TV, and so much more. As always, be sure to like this video, subscribe to the channel, and hit that notification bell so you never miss out on breaking news, when we go live, or when

we upload. So as you know, we’ve been covering this story about Garcelle and her issues with Diana Jenkins which turned into Bravo fans attacking Jax on social media. Yesterday, we reported that Jax released his own statement via his mother’s social media asking for people to basically leave him alone. This is his first week of high school. He’s trying to focus on that. And now he’s dealing with all of this. But as you also know, Garcelle spoke to fans and said thank you for all of their support during this time. But a lot of people are

asking, “Bravo, where is your statement? What are you doing to protect this child?”

Not Black boy, but child. As you also know, Lisa Rinna and Kyle Richards, in the same day that Garcelle addressed this, released their own statements asking Bravo fans to stop it. Yesterday, we did a report that letting you guys know that there are quite a few people that were suspicious that these weren’t actual Bravo fans but bots bought and paid for. Look, we’re not going to get into who could have bought and paid for them. Look, anyone could have. One emphatic fan

could have done it. However, fans are now asking Bravo to do something about it. So Bravo decided to release a statement last night, late last night. And I know a lot of people are speculating, “Was there supposed to be a new episode this week?” Based on what I’m hearing, there wasn’t supposed to be a new episode last night of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” but you just never know with Bravo. You just never know. But Bravo did release a statement, and some of you are saying, “Okay, about time,” and they’re not completely satisfied with the

statement. So Bravo says this in the statement, they said, “We are shocked and appalled at the social comments directed at Garcelle’s son. We urge our viewers and social followers alike to refrain from targeting our cast and their families with harmful rhetoric.” So as we covered yesterday, there were quite a few racist comments that were directed at Jax in his comments section. And a lot of people were saying no, they believed that it was bots. And based off of the behavior of these particular accounts that follow each other, that all commented at the same time, all

were created at the same time, and also don’t seem to have much followers. Look, there are plenty of troll accounts that have similar attributes, but we also understand. If you pay attention to social media, there are quite a few bots. There are quite a few celebrities and reality stars that buy bots to like their videos, follow them, to comment, all those different things. But now fans are asking Bravo to do more, more than just this statement. This petition now is almost near 7,000 signatures at the time of this recording. In the petition, fans are asking

Bravo to do something. They highlight the particular comment that we mentioned to you guys yesterday from an account by the name of queenofthetea_, “You’d have your neck kneeled on if it weren’t for your white daddy. Tell your mom to leave Diana alone or you’ll deal with us.” Speaking of Diana, Diana released a statement before Bravo yesterday in regards to this cuz a lot of people were questioning, “Diana, why haven’t you said anything?” Why haven’t you? And this is part of the reason why a lot of people suspected that maybe she was behind the bots. As

I said to you before, we have no confirmation of this. However, people have said, “Well, she’s not unfamiliar to bots based off of evidence.” So Diana took to her social media yesterday to say this and then we’ll get into what the petition is asking for. So she highlights a piece from an article from 2010 and she says in the caption, “Please read the article I wrote in 2010. Link is in bio. It might give you more insight into who I am as a person and as a mother. I am appalled at the recent comments aimed

at the child of one of my fellow “Real Housewives at Beverly Hills” cast members.” See, that’s where I have to be like, girl, this is BS. You can’t say her name. You can’t get specific because you could be talking about Kyle Richards right now. You might be having reality TV beef with Garcelle, but this is a serious situation, you also are a mother. Why couldn’t you say Garcelle and her son’s name here? Because, for all we know, you could be talking about Kyle because we talked about how Kyle’s daughter Portia was also attacked on social

media after everything that happened with Jax on the show. She continued, she says, “I’m appalled at the recent comments aimed at the child of one of my fellow “RHOBH” cast members. No one should be treated this way, especially children. Sadly, this was not the first time an “RHOBH” children have been attacked. This has to stop. Leave our kids alone.” So the petition. So the signatures… Let me just refresh cuz you know how that can change. So now the signatures for this Change.org petition has nearly 6,000 signatures. And as I said to you before, they post

the photo of a comment that was just, first of all, racist. justice4jax is the person that started this petition. And they said, “No child should ever have to deal with this level of harassment or racism, and the fact that this was an intentional, targeted bot attack that someone paid for makes it all the more despicable. Certain details surrounding the situation have raised suspicions about who may have been behind this, and we demand that Bravo look into this so as to ensure the safety of Jax by ensuring that no housewife was behind this. Bravo needs to

investigate this further. Bravo needs to walk the talk. If you agree, please sign the petition. As always, I’ll post the petition in the description of this video. Here’s the thing, as someone that creates content on social media, as someone that is active on social media, bots have been around for a very long time. They’ve gotten worse. They’ve gotten worse. And I’m not sure exactly what Bravo can do in this regard. Yes, there should be some level of an investigation. I’m not sure how far up this needs to go. I know some of you are jokingly

saying, “Oh, the FBI needs to…” No. Our government does need to do more when it comes to these bots and what they’re doing because these bots are a form of terrorism. These bots are a form of things that other countries use here in the United States. And I’m sure the United States vice versa. So these types of things that are happening on social media… As I said before, I grew up in a time when there was no social media as a kid in high school. So kids talking about Instagram and things like, that wasn’t happening

in high school for me. So I can only imagine what it is like for kids now, just with their peers, now you have to deal with bots harassing you. This is a very serious situation. Do I think that Bravo statement was enough? No, I’m still waiting for the statement for them addressing Diana Jenkins saying what she said to Philly Diva, “It can’t feel good to be a Black content creator.” We didn’t forget about that. And I’m sure they’re going to address that during the reunion. However, no, time is of the essence, Bravo. You said this

the last time when we were talking about the Jennie Nguyen situation and you promised that you would not wait as long as you waited. The fact that we got this generic, it was a very generic, statement last night was too late. And yes, I saw all the Bravo stars saying, “Yes, leave the kids alone.” Garcelle said, “Thank you for your support.” Yes, we understand they have to… This is their employer. However, more needs to be done. More needs to be said. We shall see, the reunion has not been filmed just yet. There’s a lot that’s

going to be unpacked at this reunion, but this needs to be… I don’t need a generic statement from Andy Cohen. As we’ve said before, the way that they handled Crystal’s eating disorder with a statement at the end of each episode, no. The way that they allow these women to talk about her eating disorder as a storyline for themselves, and I agree with Sutton, I don’t believe that they truly cared about her eating disorder or Crystal. We understand, this is reality TV. We are covering real things that are happening in people’s lives. But when we have

a 14-year-old, entering high school, already dealing with the world of being a Black boy, having to deal with this level of racism? Honestly, I didn’t even go through all of the comments that were said to Jax. But as I said in my previous video, this probably was the first time that Jax’s ever received a racist comment on social media. I’m assuming, you don’t know. And the fact that this happened because of reality show… Bravo, you’ve had a problem for a very long time when it comes to this. We don’t know what happened with the whole

NeNe lawsuit, but NeNe’s lawsuit was just a cherry on top of the problems that you’ve had for a very long time. You guys better start hiring the right people behind the scenes to cover at this area, at this point, when it comes to diversity within your company and how to handle these situations in a timely manner. All well and good. Great Bravo, yes, you released a statement, but what does a statement do in the future? Oh, you’re going to release another statement when another problematic thing happens? No, we need actual change to happen at Bravo

when it comes to these types of situations. Guys, as always, I wanna know your response. I’ve been seeing the comments on Twitter and things like that in response to what Bravo had to say. And a lot of you were speculating that the reason why there wasn’t a new episode of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” was because of this whole situation. Based on what I’m hearing, that isn’t necessarily true. We don’t love to jump to conclusions here, but we do want to make sure that we’re having the conversation. So let’s have it below. As always,

we do not moderate adults. And if you decide to be derogatory or racist in the comments, you will be blocked. Let’s have that conversation below, guys. As always, be sure to like this video, subscribe to the channel, and hit that notification bell so you never miss out on breaking news, when we go live, or when we upload. Thanks for watching.
