hi guys welcome back to the channel i’m tony
this challenge producer and today we are checking
out the overwatch cinematic for zero hour so
this is the overwatch 2 announcement cinematic
this is the final cinematic i think i will be
reacting to for overwatch for a while i’ve gone
through the entire story this year and it’s been
absolutely phenomenal um i’m actually surprised
that i finished it in a year so yeah that you
know i’m really glad that i have i’m really
thankful for you guys recommending uh some of
these cinematics as well have been absolutely
phenomenal this overwatch cinematics i always
say are one of my favorites to react to so uh
i’ve really enjoyed this i hope i get to react
more overwatch cinematics in the future as well
as always in the first part of this video we’ll
be reacting and then the second part we’ll be
taking a look at one or two filmmaking techniques
that they use before we get into that this video

winston um oh what’s on your mind may do
do we have enough people for this mission
as long as we stick together we’ll be fine
if you’re going to show now would be a good time
devices weather is mostly cloudy with a
hundred percent chance of null sector invasion
oh winston clear is a spot to land okay
right behind you the story begins so all
the cinematics before this have been them
kind of meeting up they’re attacking now
i don’t know i guess this is like the frontier
the battle and right now we are all they’ve got
oh sure officer we’re here to help

okay we do oh we did get a cinematic with them
i miss you honor and glory overwatch is back
looks like it
where’s soldier 76 though
yes we are who
wow wow that was eight minutes
long i didn’t even notice
wow that was absolutely incredible absolutely
incredible in terms of story a1 in terms of
filmmaking a1 in terms of impact a1 absolutely
[ __ ] phenomenal i love the characters now that
we’ve watched all the cinematics and we know who
the characters are we know their story we know
their personalities we’ve got lengthy cinematics
in order to establish those things it just means
so much more now watching their story kind of
unfold in them come together as a group uh there
was a few of those i didn’t recognize to like i
didn’t recognize i think his name’s ryan hart till
he took off his helmet um and his partner as well
obviously who is in his cinematics talking to him
in the flashback sorry in the flash forward so
all these characters there’s obviously there’s
a number of characters that we saw in different
cinematics that aren’t in this like spider
chick sniper gadget chip can’t remember her name
unfortunately soldier 76 reaper but i’m looking
forward to seeing overwatch too it’s been delayed
for a while like it’s been delayed quite a few
times in my opinion um from from what i know but
um i am looking forward to it i will if it’s going
to be story driven i will definitely be checking
out overwatch too 110 you best believe i will be
uh so yeah very much looking forward to
that i’m also looking forward to seeing
where else they can kind of take the story as well
because i always think that it’s quite interesting
uh with overwatch cinematics how much they put
into story uh so if the cinematics are in any
indication of what the gameplay story is going to
be like i’m really really really excited anyway
that being said let’s get into the breakdown one
of the techniques that i thought i break down here
is slow motion i have broken it down before
but i did think it was really effective here
especially in the climax scene it was very
very effective so let’s take a look all right
okay ready
and slow motion right here so what they
what happened here as well when the slow motion
hits the music kind of ramps down a little bit
and then builds up to where it speeds up again
so it was kind of like a speed ramp fast low
fast again slow motion like you don’t know what’s
gonna happen the sound is going crazy and then
so effective and in these points this is all
the climax this entire sequence is the climax
and slow motion is just used in such
a dynamic an impressive way here
there we go really really impressive the
reason why i think they use the slow motion
in this climax particularly is because of the
different dynamic action shots that it involved
um in order to kind of drag it out
if it was a climax that happened
at normal speed it wouldn’t have been have
been as climactic there wouldn’t have been as
much dramaticism in um as maybe you would have
liked to climax to have so the fact that they
added the slow motion was actually very
integral to it being an effective climax

that i broke down just now in my reaction i
definitely love the overwatch cinematics you guys
know that already um i’m a big fan of them and i
look forward to seeing some more cinematic stuff
