Appen Review – Up to $65 Per Hour Data Entry Jobs! (Pros & Cons Revealed)

And many viewers have asked me about how exactly to use Appen if it’s really worth it. So I decided to record this Appen review with all the updated information after there’s been quite a few changes on it to show you exactly how it works and reveal the full earning potential so you can find out if this is the right opportunity for you or not.
So let’s start by going over the basics of what Appen is and who can join. And Appen is a platform that offers different types of jobs. Some of them long jobs, some of them small tasks, many of them as you can see also uh like helping to train AI or do different data entry type of tasks. So it is in some cases fairly easy to do but other times it requires specific skills or experience. We’ll go over my examples a little bit later. For now let’s also just make it clear that you can potentially join
from all countries. How many opportunities you will get can vary from country to country. But it is free to join. You can go
tasks. So when you come to Appen and you can scroll it down, and then you can see this work for Appen, they say we’re looking for people all over the world and doing these exciting work from home opportunities. And then they have this login and this is when it becomes a little bit confusing because you see you have an Appen login or you can join Appen connect uh where they have like translations, transcription, data collection search evaluation, or these AI model training or these language jobs and and you might like but which one is for
me. Well the thing is when you either click this one join Appen connect or the language jobs this will take you to the same platform. It will log you into the Appen platform itself. I will show you what that will give you access to in just a second there. But for now, let’s focus on this one because that will take you to another platform. So if you click this one then it will open up a new screen where it will show you different of these a AI trainers, domain experts. So this is in many cases
a little bit more experience you need to get these jobs and it’s more like specific jobs in many cases. You can see, you also need to have certain location. This one is in India, Philippines, UK, US. So they have many different places. But you can go here and you can see these options. You can click one and make sure that you actually live up to the requirements. These ones are more like long-term jobs in many cases. So you need you see have certain skills there, need to have a knowledge of certain things there. But then
you will also get remote work and things like this. And you can see in this case, you can earn up to 65 dollars per hour for this one. How much it will be for jobs like this, the full earning potential that depends on where you live. Because in general, of course, if you’re located in the US, you will in general get more than if you live in India. You can see here, it can be up to thirty dollars per hour. But still quite good but it does require certain skills. So these jobs are not for
all. They are more difficult to get and that’s not quite the same with the other ones where you just join the app and platform itself. Those tasks are in some cases a little bit easier because there are many smaller tasks also. So let me log in and then I’ll show you those. So I’m now logged into the Appen platform itself where you get access to the other types of jobs that I showed there on the front page. I have blurred out some information and I cannot show you exactly how to join and all that because
in the joining process, you need to fill out your profile. Because you will actually not get access to applying for jobs before you fill out your profile and filled out quite a bit of information about yourself. And that also includes that you need to share your phone number because you need to verify your phone number before you will get access to this. So that’s just something to be aware of. And in that process also you agree that there are certain things you cannot share. So I cannot share all the details because they might not want
it to be publicly available. They only want people that join to see the exact descriptions and all that what I showed you before that is publicly available. So I can show you this here. I’ll just show you some examples. These are the ones that I currently have available. So right now, only two options. I’ve seen sometimes more. But how many you might have available that of course will vary depending on your profile and the country you live in. But as you can see, this one here, would be search engine evaluator, data collector. So this one
would be one cent per task. This is a shorter one. This one is more like kind of a job where I could earn 23 dollars per hour. So in here, they also have data entry type of jobs. In general, some of them also these language transcription, translation. That depends you know on what what is needed at the moment and your profile Etc. You can set your languages so then you’ll also get access to more if you know more languages. But you need to click, read the exact conditions, and then you need to apply. So it’s
not that you can necessarily just start right away. It does take some patience to get started here because you need to apply, wait to be approve. Some tasks are easier to get access to than others but that’s just something you need to be aware of. But let’s talk about how you can then get paid if you end up doing some of these small tasks or some of the longer jobs inside the platform itself. So to get paid from Appen, you need to register for Payoneer. That is currently at the time of recording this video anyways,
the only payout option. This has changed since I first tested it. But Payoneer in my opinion, also a good way to get paid in cash. I like they pay in cash. It works kind of similar to PayPal. It’s just available in more countries. So I’m assuming that’s why they have started using that because that means it opens up for people in many different countries to get paid. Where PayPal has some limitations in some countries. But you do need to be aware that some of the tasks it shows they pay very low. Others are more like
jobs where you can earn quite decent money. So the earning potential really depends on your skills, how much time you’re willing to put in if you have certain skills and are patient enough to apply for the different jobs and wait to get approved and all that. It does have a decent earning potential but it does take patience to get started. So it’s not fast easy cash here and now. So to sum it all up, Appen is a legit way to earn by doing small data entry tasks or even getting data entry type jobs or translation
jobs and similar jobs. But you do need to do it with the right expectations. Yes, some of the jobs pay nicely, some of the smaller tasks don’t pay that much but they are easier to qualify for. No matter what, it does take some patience to get started. But if you just do it with the right expectations, it definitely can be a way to earn some extra money. But I would recommend you do not only rely on this and wait for jobs here or small tasks. I would recommend you also use other options. I do have
