ladybug and Cat Noir the movie it’s a film that had been awaited by the Fantom for quite some time I’d seen people saying how the show was already ruined by asro so maybe Jeremy making this movie would be our savior has he succeed let’s see so what we’ve got here some fluff and ANS darks in love hurt Marinette dupen Chen SL ladybug hurt Adrian ag/ cat no eventual reveal alternative Universe Jeremy zag well basically anything you can find in a good F no an don’t make another crack Vic this is supposed to be a serious
review so to me it was actually really enjoyable I won’t be denying that the movie itself is pretty simple it doesn’t offer anything new we haven’t really seen in other movies and has a lot of known tropes for me it seems like the creators were very aware they’re not making a Spider-Man across the spider verse the goal was to make a simple but a fun movie you can enjoy with friends nothing more nothing less additionally I feel like the creators were trying to parody some typical elements of a romance movie like we have the first
akumatized victim who falls into despair after being rejected proposal say buff this is buff I love someone else I will never love again the use of Careless Whisper a
with me now the world is in danger Don’t Be Afraid or we will all die also later giving some Ultra wise advice or speech for you wonder who I am you must discover who you are while our heroes are getting none of it what of course there are a few things that I either found annoying or just didn’t like them but those are of the type of uh things I didn’t really like but I see why the creators did it that way so I am able to let those pass and that is portraying the butterfly
miraculous as Evil By Nature we know the miraculouses aren’t really either good or Evil By Nature it’s how you choose to use them and that also in some way affects the Akuma victims besides the first villain they weren’t really getting akumatized because of Despair or anger and wanted to take revenge hwm moth was just giving them superpowers to make them stronger that’s basically it there was absolutely no talk of a type you’ve gotten your heart broken well I’ll give you the power to break all of the heart so everyone will go through the same pain
as you the villains are just evil because they’re evil there’s nothing deep about it also our heroes didn’t really have their superpowers like cataclysm I mean no sorry he does say cataclysm in the movie but ladybug doesn’t have her lucky charm which is kind of a shame the thing about Marinette being a superhero was her creativity her getting sometimes completely random objects and using them in her crazy and yet smart and effective plans to defeat the villains was going really well with the fact that she was a designer and this concept is lost in the
movie so why am I letting those pass look the movie is like what around 100 minutes long one season of the show has 26 episodes which are around 21 minutes each so that makes around 500 46 minutes more than five times longer than the movie so there was literally no time to show all the lore from the show as well as all the concepts from it a lot of things needed to be simplified in order for the movie not to overwhelm you with the information like I said the movie was supposed to be simple but
enjoyable we notice those details because we know the whole show and so we keep comparing the movie to it but the movie having some details and ideas that are different from the original show does not necessarily make it bad especially if that was the goal it has been said that the movie was going to be Jeremy’s vision of the story that it was meant to be the origin story told in a different way so just because the film doesn’t stick to every detail of the show on which is based on does not have to make
it bad I just want to touch the surface of this topic here the movie has a lot of Concepts and great ideas that were thrown in the trash of course the movie is no different to any other grab any art book of any movie and you’ll see how many concepts are always rejected because they might not work well with the rest of the movie as a whole or there’s too much ideas and they need to delete some or simplify them and many more but this movie has one thing that’s missing and I think it should
be there and that is adrianet yeah I can’t believe I’m saying this but yes the movie lacks in adrianet relationship one part of the song Stronger together shows ladybug starting to fall for cat Noir having mixed feelings what is this feeling now I cannot fall for of what I know the song The Wall between us which didn’t make it into the final movie was supposed to show Adrien having the same kind of doubt about Marinette it’s a missing piece that at the end of the movie during the reveal would make things even more right so
all in all I think it’s actually a good movie nothing too new it’s simple but actually really enjoyable and fun it’s good because in my opinion it’s good at what it aims to be so I would be tempt to give it like seven or maybe even eight out of 10 if it wasn’t for one thing the ruined final battle the climax of the movie which sucks on so many levels for me okay first off it was was way too sudden we get this really nice and emotional song with a beautiful night City Panorama and then
within around a minute we get this a dark scenery with fire and ruins everywhere there is too big of a contrast between the scenes we didn’t see the situation progressing step by step and therefore it feels as if around 15 minutes were cut out from the movie which brings me to the next point it was too exaggerated Lightnings dark clouds fire explosions destroyed buildings smoke all around ghost like moth swarms force fields okay that’s good that’s good it’s it’s enough slices absolute Terror which came out of nowhere also the water turning into lava it’s not
like it were just a few streets that hwm moth destroyed on his way it was all over the city at random places prepare for the biggest battle of the history my ass somebody needs to tell this man adding a lot of fire and destruction alone doesn’t make the battle epic where was the teamwork where was the going into danger together the okay let’s do this thing Kat Noir just launched at hwm moth alone and then got smacked twice well lb was just watching all of it don’t worry girl I got your back from right here
at that point they both were already wrecks which brings me to yet another Point technically they would have lost the only reason they didn’t was well a happy coincidence all it would have taken for the heroes to lose would be either HW moth not being Gabriel or Kat Noir not being Adrian and don’t get me wrong I have nothing against this reveiew absolutely not it’s something we’ve always wanted to see in some form and if you watch the season 5 finale you know it will never happen but like I’ve said the heroes were drained they
were wrecked while hwm moth still stood all strong and powerful there’s this moment where Tikki said that ladybug didn’t exist without Marinet so she didn’t need her suit to be a hero and so she locked up courage and saved Kat Noir from hwk moth’s grass only for Gabriel to get a hold of him again this gives me the feeling of how much Our Heroes actually suck and I don’t think that’s what Jeremy wanted me to feel if I could see them fighting the villain together both parties getting hurt and weak on the way and then
getting the reveal my perception would have been completely different because I would have seen them actually working together trying hard to defeat the villain doing their best desperate these are some of the factors that make the battle epic the last thing I want to mention is related to the too exaggerated point when Gabriel discovers Kat is his son he suddenly turns from the evil to the Bone man who has just caused the absolute Terror in the city to a person who suddenly sees all the damage and lets go of his goal and cries oh Adrien
I’m so sorry I I just destroyed the whole city made it burn but now I see it was a mistake I’m so sorry I almost burned you alive I know you would never forgive me my ass I understand now the only Power stronger than death is love what what the everything that happened in the previous scene this just doesn’t fit well and it’s just confusing so all in all I think it’s a pretty good movie the story is simple with known tropes but it’s built well and the story is Fun the only problem I have
really is the final battle the climax which kind of ruins the movie for me because it happened way too sudden and it was too exaggerated missing the elements of an actual battle with teamwork so my rating in the end drops to six or maybe five out of 10 but to end this video with some positive Insight I think Jeremy’s goal was to make a F little movie based on the show to give us something a little bit different and new but also things we’ve always wanted to see in the show but well never will it
was meant to be a simple movie you could enjoy with friends and have a lot of fun I went to the cinema with my friends and honestly it was one of the best evenings I’ve had in a while and maybe it’s as simple as that you shouldn’t be expecting anything marvelous from this F film just something miraculous anyway thank you for listening even after such a long time after the release of this movie
