MUST SEE FILM! "After Death" Movie Review
Death and taxes are two things you cannot avoid like they say in the United States. 10 out of 10 people will die. Death is something that will happen to each and every one of us. The Bible talks about it that we will live and then we die. In fact, I heard a story of somebody comparing life to three different phases. First phase is in the womb. The second phase is on this earth and the third phase is in eternity. When you’re in the womb, you know it seems like the life outside of the womb is
not real, cuz everybody who leaves the womb don’t come back to tell us about it and when you exit the womb, a lot of crying happens. Then you go into this world and when you leave this world and you go to another realm to the eternity it seems like nobody comes back to tell us about it and there’s a lot of crying that happens as people transition. There’s a movie that came out that deals with people who have near-death experience. It’s called “After Death” and I believe that every Christian should see this film. I had
the opportunity to view it with my wife yesterday and it was very impactful. It brought the reality of the fact that life is short. The reality that there is life after
while I’m processing what I’m looking at, I could see a pilot and this is me. No two near-death experiences are the same. Out of nowhere, a trailer truck hit me head on but they typically occur in a very consistent process. We began to go down the river and my boat became pinned. I was drowning. The first thing that happens is called an out of body experience and they come to a place of exquisite beauty. They very commonly see a light, deceased relatives come to meet them. The first person I saw was my grandfather. Now I’m
traveling like a rocket ship straight upwards and with that. Oh my God, I’m alive but not every near-death experience is a good one. 23% had hellish experiences. I saw a black tunnel. I was just falling. I wasn’t in fear, I was in terror. It was just darkness. Put me back. I don’t belong here. I heard a voice before I woke up. You still have a purpose on earth. I was very skeptical. I never felt alive and then dead. I felt alive and then more alive. I had full brain recordings from the dying human brain even
though they were unconscious, they were able to give corroborative evidence. She’s describing herself that she just shouldn’t know. This ain’t right. Who can’t be mystified by that question? What happens after you die? This really does show that there is life after death. Wow. I get goosebumps just by watching the trailer and you know being able to see the movie myself, I’ll give you some of the highlights without giving any spoilers. When you go and watch this film, you get ready for people with academic, medical and scientific credentials. These are not popular preachers or YouTubers but
medical doctors, psychiatrists and professionals. Get ready for stories about heaven and hope. Dr Mary Neal is one of them. Get ready for stories about hell and despair. The one that gripped my heart was about Steven’s story. Get ready for evidence that will challenge your beliefs or non-beliefs about life after death. Particularly, there’s a story about Pamela. That’s all I’m going to mention about what she experienced is just, it’s mind-blowing and this is all verified by medical professionals and some of the top doctors in the United States. Get ready and live for Jesus like you never
lived before. Your fascination with eternity, your hunger to know that life doesn’t end when you die. In fact, there’s one phrase that someone said in the movie that just touched me is the fact that when they went into the other realm, they felt like life on earth was sleeping like it’s almost like that was more real than anything they’ve ever experienced and to me, that’s just an incredible reminder that the Bible calls death sleep. The Bible calls you know that we will be truly alive when we come to be with the Lord. The movie is
not an action flick. It’s more of a documentary approach. It presents series of highly educated individuals, doctors and authors. It does appeal to scientific skeptic. So if you have someone who is a skeptic or maybe you are skeptic about life after death and you’re like yeah, I’m not sure about that. You definitely want to see that. Why? Because it will be a wake up call to anyone that’s caught up in this world and not ready to meet the next world. Because all of us are going to to die. All of us are going to experience
that, we can disagree about what’s going to happen afterwards. People say well, I don’t know you know I haven’t been there but when you hear the stories of people that crossed to the other side or were about to go and leave this earth forever and then they had a chance to come back because the Lord sent them with the message, I believe that you will be marked by that and heavily encouraged by that. Now few things that I want to highlight as a pastor. One is about while the out of body experiences are fairly common
in the Bible. Near-death experiences are not. So this movie is based more of near-death experiences and a lot of those were people died for an extended period of time and they were already out and then they came back but those stories, they do match of what we see people experience when they go to the throne of God and they experience God. For example. We see an Old Testament story of 2 Samuel 12:22 and 23. The passage is not about near-death experience but it shows that there’s life after death and this concept was real for Old
Testament Israelites. We also see in 2 Kings 2:11-13 The passage shows from the third person perspective, an individual leaving earth and going into heaven. Elijah being captured by God’s chariot and taken into heaven and Elisha witnessed that. This was something that visibly he experienced. Also in the New Testament we see in book of Acts 7:54-60. It’s a passage that presents Stephen as having an ongoing vision of God and of Jesus, from before his murder to the time that he actually was killed. He was seeing God. He was seeing Jesus. He was having almost like an
open vision as he was dying and so we’re seeing these stories in the Bible, though they’re not near-death experiences, they’re more of out of body experiences but we still see a common trend. There is another realm that exists and people were getting almost like a taste of that. So in conclusion, what does the near-death experience teach us about what the Bible already says is true. Near-death experience gives us verifiable indication that there is another dimension beyond the material dimension with which we are familiar. Bible also affirms that there is a spiritual dimension. Remember the prophet
Elisha and his servant at Dothan, when Elisha prayed that the eyes of the young man would be opened. He actually prayed “LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” And when the Lord opened the eyes of the young man and he saw and behold the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire around Elisha. 2 Kings 6:17 Elisha existed in the physical and the spiritual dimensions. There are more than what you see with your physical eyes and these near-death experiences tell us that, that there’s another dimension that is as real as dimension
you are living in today. This is not just somebody hallucinating, taking mushrooms or psychedelics, there’s a difference and in fact, in this documentary, these professional scientists, they actually tell you the difference between these experiences. Secondly, near-death experiences tell us that there are two kinds of existences in the spiritual world. The good existence and a terrifying existence. Something that the Bible tells us that there is both a heaven and a hell. So something that you will find confirming to the believers in Revelation 21:2 it says, Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down
out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. So we see there is this beautiful city that John saw. He describes more about that in the Book of Revelation and we also see in the Bible, in Revelation 20:14 and 15 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. So we see that not only there are two dimensions. The physical dimension but also there is another dimension, what the
Bible calls a spiritual dimension but this also is confirmed by near-death experiences and within the spiritual dimension, we see two different parts of that dimension. We see one that we call as Christians heaven and one that the Bible calls hell, separation from God and it’s interesting that people who go into near-death experiences, they experience those. Some experience life, light. Some experience the presence of Jesus and some experience actually torment and they get rescued and they make right decision to follow Jesus Christ, to follow God and they see their life transformed from that day on. So
it’s something that near-death experience confirms and we see this in the scripture. Thirdly, near-death experience tells us that the spiritual world is beyond comprehension to the natural physical mind and the Bible also confirms that, that the natural man does not receive the things of the spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him nor can he know them because they’re spiritually discerned 1 Corinthians chapter 2:14. While in the documentary, they highlight different things that science confirms. There are things that science says we just don’t know. People are saying these experiences where they experiene light and
love and everything, we can’t confirm that because there is no machine that can read that. We’re just taking the fact that people have experienced certain things that we can verify like they were outside of the room and they were clinically dead but they heard conversations and then when they came back into their body, they said that they saw themselves being operated on and they can vividly describe the whole room situation as well as the conversations between the doctors, nurses and other people. Something that is not possible because they were dead but something that has to
do with them experiencing supernatural love or torment, science cannot confirm or deny because that’s out of the realm of science. It’s beyond the comprehension of the natural physical mind and the Bible says that, that the spiritual world is not received or discerned by a machine because these things are spiritually discerned. The Bible also says in Job 38:1-4 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said: “Who is this who darkens counsel By words without knowledge? Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me. “Where were you when
I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding. So Job is a book of you know Job going through a very difficult time of losing everything in a very short period of time. What happened to Job happens to every human being. As we’re getting older, we are slowly dying. We are losing things. Maybe not all at once and we will come to the end that we will die and we will face God, judgment. Now while Job was losing everything in a very short period of time, he had a lot of questions
and then God came to him out of a whirlwind and He challenged him. Pretty much He said, Job, you are not on the level that I am in to understand everything that I am doing and He said that you know who is this who darkens counsel by words without wisdom and God challenges him and He says, where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? He’s like tell me if you have the understanding, that tells us that we as humans are finite. The realm that created the realm we see is very limited. Therefore
it is foolish to come to these absolute statements to say, God doesn’t exist. Life after death doesn’t exist. How do you know? Imagine a baby in the womb of the mother telling their sibling or their twin you know mom is not real. Why? Because you can’t see mom. You can’t see dad. Therefore they’re not real. All that we see is all there is. There’s no world of colors. Imagine being in the womb and believing that all that you see is all there is and then coming out of the womb and realizing there’s another world, it’s
so vast. It’s so colorful. It’s so huge. Mom is real just because you couldn’t see her, it didn’t mean she wasn’t real. In fact it was because of her, you were alive and you were sustained in the womb. When we die, we will come to that realization. For many people, the God that we believed in, we trusted in, we will experience Him in a very new way. We will worship Him and honor Him. For those of you who are in that phase right now, where you don’t believe and you have maybe different reasons perhaps, you’re
skeptical and you’re saying, I don’t believe in none of this stuff. You will be deeply disappointed because you will still have to face God and these near-death experiences and the testimony of the scripture confirms something to us that it will be too late for you. God became a human without stopping being God. He was God on this earth added humanity. Why did He do that? So He can die for our sins. He died like a man. He rose again so that your sins can be forgiven. So you can have peace with God. So you don’t
have to live with fear of death but you can live with anticipation looking forward to seeing God. This doesn’t make you suicidal, wanting to die but it makes you a person who’s not afraid of death. When a Christian dies, we say, he went home. When a person doesn’t have relationship with Jesus dies, we say, he left home. Your real home is in heaven as a Christian and we’re here on earth just passing through. This doesn’t mean we’re not intentional about praying, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. This doesn’t mean we’re
not engaged in culture. This doesn’t mean we’re not involved in seeing revival and transformation but we know that life is but a shadow. Life is just like a drop. Life is going to pass very quickly and what we do here today will matter in eternity. Do you know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior? Do you live expecting to meet Him, when you die or not. If you don’t know Him, know Him today. If you don’t know Him, it’s time to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, repent of your sins and be saved. Thank you
