Nothing Phone 2a Unboxing & First Impressions⚡Dimensity 7200 Pro, Dual 50MP Camera @₹19,999*!?

Alright friends, the Nothing Phone 2A is here with a price of Rs 23,999, Rs 25,999 & Rs 27,999. These are 3 different variants. Before unboxing this, 4 things are very important & I’m very happy about the launch of the Nothing Phone 2A. Yes, I’m going to tell you that. This unboxing is also going to be very interesting. Do listen to my first impression. But I’m most happy that Nothing has done a course correction When the Nothing Phone 2 was launched, it was overpriced & not many people bought it. At least that’s what I feel &

that’s why they’ve corrected a lot of things in the Nothing Phone 2A. 2nd thing, I’d say that the Nothing Phone 2A is the first phone to onboard Ranveer Singh as an ambassador. They’ve become the Kaal Bhai on Twitter. That just shows that they’re focusing on India. And this March 5th launch is a global launch but it’s going to happen in India. 3rd thing, the Nothing Phone 2A had Snapdragon processors. It has a Dimensity 7200 Pro processor. And despite being a partner, they opted for the Dimensity 7200 Pro processor. I think there’s a reason because if

you look at the mid-range Qualcomm & Snapdragon processors, they’re underpowered So they went with the right chipset. 4th thing, we shouldn’t just look at the

hardware in 2024. I think the overall hardware & software experience when you use the phone, the software that gives you feedback & engages you is very important And that’s why the Nothing Phone 2A has focused on the combined hardware & software experience. And that too in this price range. That makes me very happy. Exciting start, let’s open it. The box doesn’t open once you open it. And we had to test

the phone before we bought the unboxing. So we did the unboxing first. And the box is small, there’s not much in the box. There’s a Nothing Phone 2A, documentation, USB Type C to Type C cable. That’s about it. There’s nothing else. It’s Type C to Type C, not Type A to Type C. There’s a sim card tool in the box, I forgot to tell you. That’s also there in the small box. And then you have Welcome to Nothing. I think this phone is going to be very popular. Especially because the value proposition it gives is

fantastic As soon as you take the phone in your hand, you feel you’ve taken a premium phone in hand. And the legacy of Nothing Phone 1 & Nothing Phone 2, transparent back, glyph lighting, Nothing Phone 2A carries it forward beautifully. Anyways, look at this phone. If you can see 1 thing, it’s the camera module. We haven’t seen a camera module like this. It’s not on the top, not on the left as we’re used to. It’s right in the middle & it’s small too. It’s a dual camera setup, 50plus50. Let me tell you, the glyph lighting

was on the bottom, on the back. Now you only have it around the camera. You get 3 glyph lights on the side of the camera. Now the 1st change is the plastic back. Yes, it used to be a glass back, now they have a plastic back. And let me tell you, it’s quite a fingerprint magnet. Look at this, I’ve just opened it & just see this. There’s plastic at the back & Gorilla Glass protection at the front In hand feel, I’d say it’s not too big, not too small. It’s slightly on the bigger side. It’s

a big phone for sure. I’m going to tell you everything about this phone. But before that, don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE to our channel. It’s a very important thing. This is a very different & unique phone. Do watch it carefully, but do SUBSCRIBE. Let me talk about the weight. It’s not as heavy as the Nothing Phone 2A, but it’s still around 195-200g. Oh, it’s under 188.4g. I’m showing you both the phones on the screen. Because when I was unboxing, I didn’t get the white one. It’s coming in the next 1-2 days. So I’m going to show

it to you. Which one did you like? White or black? Do tell me. The black one is more subdued. The transparent design on the back isn’t visible much. The white one is more pronounced & looks more geeky. So if you’re considering it, I’d recommend the white Nothing Phone 2A. Let’s drop it. 1, 2 & 3. Whoa, big noise. But it’s a Gorilla Glass 5 with protection. When it comes inside the box, it’s scratch guard. And I’ll tell you what, if you’re buying a cover for it, then buy a transparent case. It’s very important. Ports &

Buttons There’s a SIM card tray, a microphone, a USB Type-C port. There’s a speaker grill on the left. Oh, alright. There’s a volume rocker on the left. There are 2 up & down buttons. And there’s a power on & off button on the right. There are in-display fingerprints. It’s not side mounted. There’s a noise cancelling microphone on the top. And as I told you, there’s a dual nano sim card slot on the sim card tray. The base variant is 128GB with 8GB RAM and is priced at Rs 23,999. So yeah, that’s fine. Time to start

the phone, we’ve seen it from the outside. Display It’s a 6.7” AMOLED display with 120Hz fast refresh rate. It’s FHD, not 1.5K. It has a peak brightness of 1300 nits. When you use it in High Brightness Mode, it has a brightness of 1100 nits. It also has 2160Hz PWM dimming. So that’s all there. It has an adaptive refresh rate of 30Hz, 60Hz, 120Hz. It doesn’t go below 30Hz, it’s not LTPO. But that’s there. Specifications It has MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro processor. It’s a 4Nm processor & it’s very power efficient. If I talk about AnTuTu score,

it’s around 6.97L. It’s slightly above the Qualcomm SD778. It has 3 variants, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, 8GB RAM 256GB & 12GB RAM 256GB. It has a 5000mAh battery & 45W fast charging. It’s really power efficient. We’ve used it for the past 3 days & if I show you the screen-on time, it’s around 6.5 hours. So the total SOT is around 8-8.5 hours which is excellent. It’s one of the best in this price range. Performance We played Genshin Impact on it for around 30 minutes & we continuously got upto 40FPS. You can play BGMI at 60FPS,

HDR at 40FPS & COD Mobile at 90FPS. You can multitask & open multiple apps. It’s clean & the UI experience is excellent, one of the best in this price range. OS UI It has NothingOS 2.5 which is based on Android 14. It comes with 3 years of major OS updates and 4 years of security updates. I think Samsung is giving 3 years of major updates for a phone under Rs 25K. So you’ll get 15, 16 & 17 years of updates. OS UI is clean, no bloatwares. But the best part is the implementation of NothingOS. You

can put widgets on the lock screen which gives it a distinctive look. If you want to silence the phone, you can do it from the lock screen. So there’s no need for an alert slider. You can also put stacked widgets in different sizes. So you can do a lot of customization on the lock screen. And they’re very useful & well implemented. Glyph Lighting You can customize glyph lighting for notifications in NothingOS 1 & 2. You can also do it in NothingOS 10. You get 10 pre-installed glyph ringtones. You get 3 pre-installed glyph ringtones. You can

see Swiggy & Zomato while charging. But now there’s Google Calendar support. And you can use the glyph light as a fill light. Multimedia The display & video viewing experience is good. You get dual stereo speakers. So they’re also quite loud & the quality is good. So the phone is good for multimedia. If I talk about the display, you can see that the bezels are of equal size. So it looks like an immersive & modern display. So that’s also excellent. Performance The read & write speeds aren’t that good as it’s a LPDDR4X RAM type. And it’s

a UFS 2.2 storage type. If it was a UFS 3.0 or 3.1, it would’ve been much better. And that should’ve been there, but it’s not. If I talk about the other features, you get 8GB virtual RAM in the OS. But with UFS 2.2 storage type, there’s not much benefit of virtual RAM. Connectivity There are 13 5G bands, dual 4G VoLTE, and WiFi calling support, VONR support, WiFi 6 support & Bluetooth 5.3. There’s also NFC, which is coiled around the cameras. Camera If I talk about the camera, sometimes I’m impressed and sometimes I wonder why it

takes such photos. It’s basically an inconsistent camera, but if you’re patient, you can capture some really good photos. But I think, my first impression is, it’s a 50MP rear camera with 50MP primary and 50MP ultrawide lenses. And you get a 32MP selfie sensor. Primary sensor has good colours in normal conditions, it has a dynamic range, but sometimes it’s hit & miss. Low light performance is also decent, but it also takes good photos in low light. So from that perspective, it’s quite good. Even in videography, you can take 4K at 30FPS with primary sensor & ultrawide.

So that’s also good. And there’s OS support in the primary sensor. If I talk about selfie, you can take it at 1080p at 60FPS. What really impressed me was the 32MP selfie camera. If you look at the skin tones, they really came out quite good. Let me show you my photo. If you consider the processing, it does take a while to process the images. But look at the details, hair, skin tones, etc are excellent. Selfie cameras are really good & the video quality is not one of the best. Camera Features- Slow Motion, Photo, Video, Portrait

Mode, Time Lapse, Panorama Mode, Expert Mode. It doesn’t have FM Radio, IR Blaster, IP54 certification, Widevine L1 support, SAR values are within limits. What do I think about the Nothing Phone 2a? I’m happy! I’m serious, I’m happy about the Nothing Phone 2A. If it was priced at Rs 10-15K, then I’d say it was a good value for money Nothing Phone 2A. But I’d say one thing about the Nothing Phone 2a, it is value for money & a lot of people will like it. Especially if I talk about the look, the Nothing Phone 2A’s OS is

definitely the highlight. The experience you get from the Nothing Phone 2A’s OS is seriously unmatched in this particular price range. In fact, I’d say that the Nothing OS experience is one of the best. If I talk about the performance & battery life, everything looks really good with this phone. If I talk about the negatives, then you get UFS 2.2 storage under Rs 10K. UFS 3 & 3.1 should’ve been at least there. So that’s a big miss. The build quality of the Nothing Phone 2a was better. The frame was metal & the back is plastic instead

of glass. But those are the compromises & that’s why you get it at Rs 23,999. So I’m ok with that. The only glaring thing is the UFS 2.2. Other than that, I’m extremely happy with this phone. And I’d recommend it if you want a geeky phone with good software, performance & display. I think you should definitely look at the Nothing Phone 2a.
