Randy Gregory Traded To The #49ers Right Before Playing The #Cowboys
so this was a very calculated move and it’s a potential move by the way and it’s a situation whereas Randy Gregory for the Broncos in the last two seasons he only accumulated three sacks so you can say whether or not he the system just wasn’t for him and on top of that within the confines of the sacks that he accumulated he did Force two Force fumble so um is he a guy with high potentials yes is he a guy that panned out for the Broncos he didn’t pan out for them but he’s going to the
49ers who we got to play this weekend who one can argue that hey he knows Dan Quinn system scheme and philosophy I don’t know whether or not it will pay dividends for them but I can say that Randy Gregory is the area of the unknown we don’t know now I can tell you this for the 49ers they need an extra Edge rusher on the opposite side of Bosa you know they had Drake Jackson Who who started all pretty good with three sacks versus the Steelers but that’s about it right and Pharaoh uh he was a
guy that was a former firstr draft pick who didn’t really pan out so what they’re doing is hey kicking the bucket they are just trying to turn
could be valuable things and of course behind him he will have a flow to the traffic area of Fred Warner as well as so Dr Green law so they got people they got weapons and this would be a good look for them and now what basically what the 49ers gave up they gave up two draft picks a six round uh draft pi pick for 2024 as well as a seven round draft pick for 2024 so I’m not saying that he’s worth giving up two draft picks but I can tell you that that’s a situation and
scenario that it could be good for them and those boys over there but I heard that the bronos was going to get rid of them anyway so it’s always news it’s always drama for your mama with these type of situations but I can tell you guys ladies and gentlemen for those who watching uh should for those who say well the Cowboys should have picked him up who you going to cut to get him who you going to cut for your 53 man uh to get Randy Gregory and we got a lot of edge rushers it’s
not like this is an interior thing the only person that I will move some furniture around is for interior play right but outside of that you know we got Dante Fowler Sam Williams by the way uh we also have dorren Armstrong everyone that I mentioned have more Productions as relates to sacks and as well as uh run containment on the outside than Randy Gregory Randy Gregory is damn good at getting to the quarterback he’s not that great on stopping the Run ladies and gentlemen discipline could be an issue but that’s not our problem right so
I just look at it like that now is Randy Gregory high potential guy yes a change of scenery may work out for him hey a new Direction may work out for him a team with a different philosophy that teaches discipline to on defense not saying that we didn’t teach that over here could work wonders for him right but I’m looking at it from what we already have Edge rushers are the least of our worries now I’m always on the belief that I did say hey bring them in for a cup of coffee if everything works
out then you signed him but the 49ers said you know what they’re going to go ahead and give up Capital draft capital for him and that trumps all of the wavery periods or whatever that he had to clear right give him first chance of opportunity for them to see him Dr supposed to letting him be on the market so a six and a seven round draft pick hey that’s just on them so uh Cowboy Nation don’t fret it is what it is we we have plenty plenty of opportunities down the line for before the trade
