Realme C53 | Unboxing & Quick Review
Hello and welcome to ReviewsPK! My name is Ameer and this is Realme C53 which has just been launched in Pakistan. A few days ago, we did an unboxing of Realme C51 on this channel. This is basically its big brother. And in terms of specs, it is very similar to Realme C51. Only a few things been changed, for instance there are updates in selfie camera, RAM and Storage. We will talk about all of that in the video. First, let’s talk about the price. Realme C53 is being launched for Rs. 40,000, in Pakistan. And there is only
one variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. So, let’s quickly unbox it. Realme C53 also comes in the same traditional yellow box as we have seen before with Realme phones. Some main specs of the phone are mentioned on the back of the box. Now, let’s turn this knife around and open the box. So, first of all, there is this folder which has a SIM ejector tool and some messaging from Realme. Dare to Leap and Welcome to the Realme Family. There are some user manuals inside. And there is a silicon protective case. This is our Realme
C53 handset. Today, we have this phone in Champion Gold color. And this phone is also available in Mighty Black. Moving forward, there is a charging brick with the phone. And there
high-gloss layer on the entire round part so that it doesn’t get less shiny. Now, this phone is a budget or lower-mid-range phone. So, its entire build is of plastic. The back is also plastic and so is the frame. And if by any chance you are not able to understand this Champion Gold color, then this phone is also available in Mighty Black. The frame has a matte finish and it is completely flat. There are volume keys on the side and the power button of the phone. Its fingerprint sensor is also present inside it. In terms of
speed, it’s not the fastest I’ve seen, but I think it can handle it. Now, friends, in terms of design, an important selling point of this phone is its thickness. The thickness of Realme C53 is 7.5mm, which is considered slim in phones. And the weight is also a little on the lower side, 182 grams. Coming to the bottom, there is Mic, Type-C port, and a single bottom firing mono speaker. Now, let’s come to the front side. So, in this Realme C53, there is the same-to-same display as in Realme C51. A large 6.74-inch IPS LCD display with
dewdrop notch, peak brightness of 560 nits, and a resolution of 720 x 1600, on which the pixel density is 260 ppi. But friends, the best feature of this display is its refresh rate. Because this display supports a high refresh rate of 90Hz. Whenever you use the phone, scrolling through menus and apps, you will feel much more smoothness. And this normally makes the phone feel faster and more responsive. But friends, at this Rs 40,000 price point, this 720p display is not satisfying me. It would have been better if we were given a full HD display here.
Now, let’s talk about the cameras. So, here we are getting the exact same setup as in C51. Dual Cameras, the main camera is 50MP with f/1.8 aperture. Along with it, there is a black and white sensor for portrait effects. And the maximum video recording resolution of the back camera is 1080p at 30 frames per second. On the front side, there is a small upgrade over Realme C51. Instead of 5MP, there is an 8MP selfie shooter here. But the maximum video recording resolution is same to same, 720p at 30 frames per second. And a big reason
for that is the entry-level low-powered type of chipset configuration of this phone. Because friends, here we have Unisoc Tiger T612 chipset. This is a 12nm chip. Along with it, there is Mali G57 GPU. The RAM is a slightly more, with 6GB. And you can also extend it by 6GB. And there is a little more storage here with 128GB. And this is eMMC 5.1 storage. Which you can also increase with the help of SD card. Because in this phone, two SIMs and one SD card can be inserted together. Now, these Unisoc Tiger chips are considered to
be entry-level chips. Normally, we see them at budget price points. To an extent, T612 can be compared to G85. But its gaming performance is less than Helio G85. It is a very low-powered type of chipset. There is no serious gaming scene here. And in this Rs 40,000 price point, and in fact, even in the price points below this, we get very good chipsets now. But I think those people who want to do only day-to-day things on their phone, want to run social media apps, want to use WhatsApp, want to watch movies, videos, etc. Such chipsets
are fine for them. Maybe you will feel a little jittery here. But overall, I don’t think there are going to be any issues. Casual gaming will also be tolerated by this phone to some extent. And a big reason for that is the interface of this phone. There is Android 13 here, on which there is Realme UI T edition, which has been designed for budget phones. And anyway, The experience of Realme UI has always been similar to stock Android And you know how much I like stock Android experience in Android phones. No heavy skinning or unnecessary
animations have been added here. The interface is very clean. But note here that our call recording lover crowd, there is a little bad news for them, that there is no built-in call recorder in this phone, because there is a Google dialer here. And here we will talk about another big selling point of this phone, and that is its big battery and fast charging. Because to power this phone, there is a 5000 mAh big battery in Realme C53, which is quite impressive for such a slim phone. Along with it 33W, Super VOOC charging. Which is a
very convenient thing, but now at the price point of Rs 40,000, 33W charging is quite standard. According to Realme, it charges from 0 to 50% in 28 minutes. Now, normal brands obviously put a little bit of perfect conditions and exaggerations, but still, I think, if the battery gets half charged in half an hour, then it is a very convenient thing. And we have seen in the past, that when you run such a big battery with a 720p display and underpowered processors, then the battery life of those phones becomes very good. With Realme C53, most people
can easily get a day on a full battery, and can also get 1.5 to 2 days in light usage. So friends, in my opinion, this Realme C53 is basically a C51 Plus. Realme C51’s 4/64 variant was for Rs 30,000, whereas in this one, you have to pay more than Rs 10,000. And instead of that, you are getting a little better selfie camera, a little more RAM, more storage, and along with it, according to Realme, Champion design. In my opinion, it would have been better if Realme had given one or two big upgrades in it, so
that the price difference of Rs 10,000 could have been justified. Or at the prices of C51 and C53, keep the difference a little less. At the price point of Rs 40,000, the competition for this phone is very tough right now.
