The Vaccine War Movie Review | True Facts or Pack of Lies? | Akash Banerjee

Went to watch The vaccine war by Vivek Agnihotri, thinking to get to see India’s achievements and triumph over Covid Let’s accept that Covid ruined our economy, destroyed our infrastructure and our medical infrastructure. We are recovering from all this. We have learnt a lot. And forgotten too. But Vivek Agnihotri would not ask sharp questions, to the system. I went with this assumption. How did government, with the help of Serum Institute of India, deliver the Covishield vaccine to the whole world? Maybe that would be the story I thought Or how the whole country, using India’s strong immunization

system, vaccination was done for the entire country. It was a world record. That would be the story. But the vaccine war was at a different angle. The villain of this movie is not Covid. It is a community that needs to be silenced. Agnihotri never believes in facts. He says it so clearly, remember that Newslaundry interview? And because of this philosophy, he has hung the facts on the wall in the movie, to match his narrative I am not saying that the movie will be flop. Public can do anything. But there are at least four big lies

on which the movie Vaccine War is established. It is important to talk about that lie. After that, you can watch the movie or

not. Your choice. This review will have few spoilers. So this is a spoiler alert. But before watching the vaccine war, it is very important to know some facts. …then you will be able to judge whether this movie is fact-based or like the Kerala story, and the Supreme Court will have to issue a notice that it is based on hypothetical information. The biggest lie is who created the vaccine and I am saying this

because… … the narrative of Us vs Them is the basis of the story. To make a narrative, it has been shown that to deal with COVID-19, ICMR, Indian Council of Medical Research and NIV, National Institute of Virology, identified the threat of COVID-19 and isolated the virus Then, it was tested. Animal trials were conducted. Then, at the last phase of human trials, a private company, Bharat Biotech, was involved. The vaccine was mass-produced. People were given the vaccine. But, with this success of Bharat, this success, the international conspiracy was hatched. WHO did not approve this India’s vaccine.

Anti-national media started questioning India’s vaccine. And the nation’s pride, top scientists were defamed. The way the scientists of ICMR and National Institute of Virology debunk these allegations becomes an important part of this film. But when I was watching this film in the hall, I was shocked. You will also be shocked if you have read anything about ICMR, National Institute of Virology, Bharat Biotech during the COVID crisis. The central theme of the vaccine war is how the vaccine made by our reputed scientists, government scientists, and how the anti-nationals, the pro-left media, how they rejected it by

saying that India cannot do it. If this movie was a David Dhawan type comedy fiction, then it would have been okay. But this movie claims it is based on facts. It is about the country and vaccine war. So, I double checked, triple checked. But the vaccine was not made by ICMR and NIV, then how can it be question of disrespect of our country’s scientists? Look at the headline of the Times of India for 2021. No technology transfer from Indian Council of Medical Research and National Institute of Virology. Covaxin is ours, says Bharat Biotech, they write

on their website that they have made the vaccine. I don’t know why Vivek Agnihotri is dragging our top scientists into this. There is more… When we reached out to ICMR and NIV, we only reached out for the strain of the virus. And this is a fact. National Institute of Virology had isolated the virus and it is very important if you want to make an antidote or vaccine for it. Krishna Ella is the Chairperson of Bharat Biotech International Film is saying Bharat Biotech entered in manufacturing at the last moment and shows how India’s scientists were insulted…

The fact is that a private company, Bharat Biotech, made this Covaxin. So the question is on Bharat Biotech, not on ICMR, our top scientists, our virologists, don’t get this. But 70% of the movie is based on this. And Bharat Biotech was in controversy … their application for regulatory approval of Covaxin in December 2020 did not have even a basic efficacy data for approval. After that, the participants of Covaxin clinical trial in Bhopal … They complained that they did not know about being made a part of an experiment. They thought it was vaccination drive. They didn’t

know that they were being made guinea pig. They didn’t have consent documents. And why did WHO reject it? Because WHO has a 4-step process. Acceptance of manufacturers, expression of interest, this is called EOI. Then there is a pre-submission meeting between WHO and the manufacturer. Acceptance of a dossier for review is done. After that, assessment and final decision is made. The vaccine of Bharat Biotech fails in the first step – expression of interest. And it was rejected. Now it is up to you to decide … did Bharat Biotech make a mistake or was it conspiracy? Brazil

suspended $320 million deal with Bharat Biotech for Covaxin because Bharat Biotech did not take key steps while manufacturing the vaccine Time and again Bharat Biotech faced problems. When these issues have been raised, especially in the movie, it is being shown that a conspiracy was being hatched against ICMR, our top scientists Our scientists are not mocked in other places. When we launch Chandrayaan and reach the moon, are our ISRO scientists mocked or is the world cheering us on? Why do we live on the victimization philosophy? If we have done something wrong, then we need to look

at it internally as well… then why when something is spotted, it is called a conspiracy? But why did Vivek Agnihotri lie? Why did he try to hide the shady role of Bharat Biotech? Why did he make our Indian scientists play victim card? There is a reason The real villain of the movie…. The character has to be made a villain. We will come to the villain, but before that if you’re planning to watch The vaccine war, what do you think – will it be a bigger success than Kashmir files? Will the movie Vaccine War have more

box office collection than Kashmir Files by the 20th of October? You can earn rewards via opinion trading platform Probo Probo is this episode’s partner … you can use skills and education to form opinions in yes or no form – if right you can get cash reward. More than 10 million people have made a profit from their skills. I have given the link in the description of Probo Download it and get a welcome bonus. Anyways, now let’s come to the real villain. And the second biggest lie that who is the villain of the vaccine war. If you see the vaccine war, you will feel that the Modi government is completely

helpless. Victim of a scheme. The government is surrounded by questions. Do you keep a purse in your pocket? – Editor, behave yourself. Or else the review will be cancelled. Rohini is the real villain in the vaccine war. From the Daily Wire. What an indirect reference. Rohini from the Daily Wire has a toolkit of foreign companies. She wants the government to be dependent on international vaccines. She wants the country to be helpless. Kneels before foreigners – This is how journalists are in our country, the leftist journalists. The plot of the movie is about how nationalism wins

and the Daily Wire, their West bias loses. In real life, how much press is still there to question? And who disrespects our scientists and says India can’t do it? Narrative in the movie is that the questioner is against our country, our development, our progress. This film may not have done well on the first day, but later it can. As there is us versus them … on surface it is science and biotechnology. But this also has a lot of Us vs. Them. Lie number 3, Indian vaccine vs. foreign vaccine. This also has Us vs. Them. And

the villain is WHO. WHO wants India to bow down to foreign vaccines. What are they trying to make? Self-reliant vaccine? Don’t make it. You take Modena, you take Pfizer, you take AstraZeneca. But, somewhere, the movie forgets that it has been the biggest international success of our country that how fast and how correctly we replicated AstraZeneca. Our Serum Institute of India then produced the same AstraZeneca in the name of Covishield and mass produced at a cheap rate, at a very low price, the entire country was vaccinated and internationally also, we sent vaccine to more than 100

countries and because of this Covishield, we were called vaccine friends and we were actually called a vaccine center and this Covaxin, it only gets emergency approval after so much effort the problem was with the domestic vaccine, the manufacturing process, the private company Bharat Biotech. But it has been shown in movie that it is the foreign vaccine companies who are trying to suppress us. They are working against India. And as I said, this narrative may be sold. Lie number 4 hurts. How this movie is based on lies. It shows how our government was ready from day

1. Since the spread of the virus in China, the government was closely watching and talks of vaccine had begun but fact is that government was initially sleeping and then the steps were taken This stunning efficiency of the government is doubtful. Nana Patekar, the head of ICMR, said after meeting PM that science must win. Only science will be followed But if the Prime Minister had said this, then maybe his party members would have been told the same. Because they were after cow urine and papad to get rid of Covid. If we had shown this much alertness

earlier, then dead bodies would not have been floating in the Ganga. And so it is tried to hide, and show how science wins. In this film, by the way, science is celebrated. There is no problem in that But what is happening in reality? Where are the government’s R&D expenses going in reality? What is happening with the science awards in reality? The government’s ministries are saying they will give science award but not money. So how will scientists fill their EMI? Will they fill it with formulas? And the delta wave comes and goes in the film. It’s

a vaccine war, was it all good? The way people died in the delta wave like insects, it is completely paper over. The film had a lot of opportunities if actually a hard look at Covid. What was the long Covid? What was the lasting impact of all these vaccines? Did our healthcare system improve or not? A big miss. In the quest for internal rivalry, in the quest to make a narrative, in the quest to bring the questioners under question, the biggest hit aspect was China virus. Wuhan was not properly investigated. China could have been asked questions,

but not done by the movie. No questions to the system, no questions on China. This movie is not Jawan which will question the system. But still, thank you Vivek Agnihotri. You could have done a lot more in this movie which you did not. You could have brought Tablighi Jamaat in this movie and blamed them for Covid which our media did for a long time until the Supreme Court did not finish this case and found that Tablighi Jamaat has been blamed for no reason. You could have used that angle for us versus them Thank you Vivek

Agnihotri for the fact that you have shown women’s contribution in such a good way in this film. No doubt in this. Whether it is virology or space science, ICMR or ISRO – women have led from the front This has been shown neatly … the major role of women in fight against covid in The vaccine war The struggle of scientists and doctors how they are not able to go home has been shown very well. But mistakes could have been shown better way, like how people were mistreated, oxygen shortage, sleeping govt But yes, conspiracy theories sell. And

maybe because of conspiracy theory, this movie may make 300 crores Because it will be very interesting to see its performance. Just a few days ago, Jawan comes and becomes a super hit. And Jawan’s central theme was to question the system. And people like the fact that uncomfortable questions have been raised and questions have been raised from the system. Here, in The Vaccine War, it is the complete opposite. Ask the people who are asking questions, why are they asking questions? They must surely be funded, that is why they are asking questions. Let’s see if audience likes

that Has the audience forgotten what Covid has done to us? Will the audience celebrate? Will the audience accept the lies that ICMR and virologists are being pulled out, While the wrongs in domestic vaccine has been done by Bharat Biotech, not our govt scientists Will the audience understand this? It will be very important to see. Thanks to Probo for making this video possible. Do you think Vaccine war will pick up, and surpass Kashmir files by 20 Oct? You can cast your opinions and thoughts. also profit from your opinions. Many thanks for watching. More episodes coming up.
