Hunter Biden plea deal falls through after judge expresses concern about agreement
Right now, Hunter Biden’s plea deal is in jeopardy. After a disagreement over a gun charge. President Biden’s son was originally expected to plead guilty to two misdemeanor counts of failing to pay his taxes. Under the plea deal, prosecutors would recommend probation for the tax violations. A separate felony gun charge would be dropped if Biden met certain conditions laid out in court. However, now, because of a disagreement over that gun charge, it is unclear what will happen if a deal is not reached. Today, this is the first time the Justice Department has brought charges against the
child of a sitting president.
