Iconic Atlanta pastor Charles Stanley dies

For more than 50 years, Doctor Charles Stanley served as pastor for First Baptist Church, Atlanta, but his impact could be felt far beyond his congregation. I wanted to get as many people
as possibn touch with Jesus Christ, a lifed by faith. The old things have passed away. Wh? Because he’s been delivered from the Old Kingdom. Doctor Charles F Stanls dedication to serving the church began at 14 years old, when, his biography says he first recd the call to ministry after graduating from the University of Richmond in 1950. Six He spent years leading churches across the South. In 1969, he became associate par at First Baptist Church Atlanta, where he would lead the congregation for 51 years. His vision would take him and his message beyond the four walls
of the church and even beyond the borders of the US. In my office at the time was a living Bible called In Touch, and I just knew it wae right name for
