My new favorite nail polish?! Cadillacquer Interplanetary Swatch & Review || KELLI MARISSA

What’s up, everyone? It’s Kelli and today I’ve got another swatch & review for you. So today we are talking about the brand new Interplanetary Collection from Cadillacquer, which is actually a collaboration with retailer What’s Up Nails. And let me tell you, just based on the name alone, I was very excited about this collection. But let’s get into the details, If you haven’t heard of Cadillacquer before, they are an independent nail polish brand that is based in Switzerland, but they are available internationally and all their polishes are 5-free, meaning they are free of five of the

potentially harmful ingredients that can be found in nail polish. They are also vegan, meaning they do not use any animal derived ingredients and they’re cruelty free, meaning they do not test their products on animals. So they just released these six brand new nail polishes with What’s Up Nails and they’re all really gorgeous specialty finishes. Two of them are actually magnetic nail polishes and then two of them are thermals, which means that they change color based on the temperature. So there’s a lot of exciting stuff going on here. So let me show you the swatches first,

then we can get into my thoughts on them and then we can talk about pricing and availability. So let’s get into the swatches. So as

with all of my swatch & review videos, I am using base coat underneath all of my swatches just to protect my natural nail and prevent any stains. Today it’s the Orly Bonder base coat. We’ll start off with this one Asteroid Surf Ace and this one is a very slightly blue tinged gray jelly base and it is absolutely packed inside. We’ve got these teeny tiny black flecks as well as larger. iridescent

flecks that mostly look green and blue, but at certain angles you can actually see a little bit of purple and pink as well. I started off with two coats because I love this slightly sheer look where it’s just very even across the nail. But you can see just a hint of that visible nail line. But I knew if I applied another coat it was going to make that color a little bit stronger. So I went ahead and tried a third and I feel like honestly, it looks gorgeous both ways. I’m actually wearing this in the

intro and outro, this video, and I’m also still wearing it right now. And this is such a stunning shade. I noticed it has this almost secret red micro shimmer running throughout. It only pops up at certain angles and in certain lightings, but you can see just a tiny little hint at the bottom left of my nail. It’s just a really cool combination. I just love that little hint of a spark of red. Next up, we have the shade, The Blue Marble. And this is another super packed jelly. This one is actually almost like an indigo

blue jelly base. It has like the tiniest hint of purple in it, which I think really gets a little bit stronger when I apply more coats. And then within that, we actually have this reflective green shimmer. So when the light hits it, it has this sort of unreal sparkle to it. And then we also have more iridescent flakes in there, but we’ve got a ton of different colors. So whatever way you’re moving your nail around, it just hits the light differently. I was seeing a lot of green, but I was also seeing some pink, some

orange, some purple. So it’s just a really colorful shade. It’s super stunning. It’s definitely giving a little bit of like an earth from space kind of vibe. And again, I liked the way that it looked in two coats, but I felt like the color was a little bit stronger in three. So I feel like just kind of depending on my mood, I would wear it in either two or three coats because it’s not patchy at all and it was super easy to apply. So now let’s move on to the magnetics. This first shade is called

Far Far Pulsar, and this one is a black jelly base that has this really intense, almost blue purple flake running throughout. And then we also have a magnetic dual chrome golden bronze coppery kind of shimmer running throughout. So when you look at it on magnetized and here I did two coats, I feel like it just looks like a really interesting mix of color. We’ve got that really warm shimmer, but then we also have that super cool toned flaky in there, which honestly I thought was pretty cool on its own, unmagnetized. But of course I did

want to try it with the magnet just to see what it looked like. So first I went in with the cat eye style and let me tell you, I was not expecting this to be such an intense magnetic. If you saw my review of their last collection, they had these really intense magnetic colors, but they weren’t as sharp as I’ve seen Cadillacquer do in the past. And I was kind of expecting that for these, especially because we have these larger flakes in them. But all of that golden bronze color pulled to the center and we

were left with this gorgeous cosmic sort of background with the blue flakies and the black jelly. And it was absolutely gorgeous. I totally loved it. And then, of course, I wanted to try it in the aura style as well. Now I do find that polishes like this that have a lot going on, it’s a little bit harder to tell what’s going on when you have them in this sort of velvety style. But I still think this ended up looking really cool and three dimensional. And again, it gave a very cosmic look. I think it looks

cooler in person, though. Next up, we have the shade Reliant Supergiant. And let me tell you, you are not ready for this polish. I am not exaggerating when I say I love magnetic nail polishes. I talk about magnetic nail polish a lot, done a bunch of videos on them. This is by far my favorite magnetic polish I have ever seen. I am so blown away by this. So we’ve got again, this sort of black jelly base and then we have these lighter, icy blue shards of glitter. So they’re a little bit larger than what I

typically call flakies, but they’re these gorgeous irregular shapes. And then we also have this magnetic red shimmer running throughout and honestly, on its own, again, I think this is so stunning. I love the combination. I love the cool versus the warm tones together. But once I magnetized this in the cat eye style, I gasped. This is the most stunning combination I have ever seen. The intensity of that black background with those icy blue pieces in there that looked so cosmic, plus that red multidimensional kind of shimmer just blew my mind. Cannot handle it. I have

never seen a polish like this before. Sorry that I’m gushing about it, but I just cannot believe how stunning this is. And I have so many magnetic nail polishes, but I have never encountered one that I love as much as this. I did also try this one in the aura style, just out of curiosity, but again with polishes like this where there’s just a lot going on, it can be a little bit harder to get much out of that velvety style. But again, I do think it was pretty cool. It pulled all of that red

to the front and it just made it look a little bit more dimensional and it really pulled the red into kind of a separate layer. So you could really highlight those differences between those icy shards and the red shimmer. So I thought it was cool, but truly nothing compares to seeing that in the cat eye style. So now on to the two thermals of the collection. This first one is called Stardust Worthy, and this one is a color changing jelly base. So when it’s cold, it’s this black color. But then when it’s warm, it’s actually

white. So you can see as I was applying it, the color was changing a little bit because I was pretty warm at this moment. But there’s a lot going on in here. We’ve got a teeny tiny black micro flaky as well as some hex glitters. I see orange and red and gold in a few different sizes, plus a subtle little red shimmer running through out. So I’m going to show you the color shift using water. I have cold water and I have hot water, but you can actually get this color shift without using any water.

It just depends on the temperature of your nails or the air around you. So it’s super fun to play around with. I did notice that it looked almost like a white version of the first shade in its warm state, which I thought was pretty fun. But I just love how drastic that shift is from the black into the white. And both colors just feel so Cadillac three. Just the style of the flake using glitters in there just feels so classic. But the color combination is so interesting. So I love it. And last but definitely not

least, we have many moons, which is quite possibly the coolest thermal I have ever seen in my life. So yeah, this collection has now my favorite magnetic polish of all time and possibly my favorite thermal of all time. So this is another color changing base. When it’s in its cold state, it is a black jelly, but then in its warm state, it’s actually a really beautiful blue. And then we have a ton of circular glitters in a bunch of different colors in here that give off a little bit of a planetary vibe. But I also

thought this looks like that sort of bokeh background that you get in photography when you have a very shallow depth of field. And I feel like I can especially see that when the polish was in its cold state. And this is just such a beautiful polish, I think those larger glitters can be a little bit finicky, so you might have to push them around on your nail, which is what I did when I was applying it. But I feel like it’s absolutely worth it because this is such a cool color and I just love the

way that it looks in both states. It really does remind me of like photography and lights, but I can also see it being a very planetary sort of vibe. So super fun. Can’t get enough of this one. There’s just a lot of really good shades in this collection and here they all are together. And I have to say, I totally love these. Maybe I’m a little bit biased because I tend to love galaxy or cosmic themed nail polish collections over anything else, but I feel like this type of collection really just shows why I love

that so much, because the colors in space and the colors that we see in these nail polishes are just so breathtaking and beautiful. And I think that when we try to emulate that style in nail polish, it just creates such beautiful shades. And I think Cadillacquer did such a great job of creating them, and especially with those magnetics and those thermals, just creating shades that are really unlike anything else I have. So I was just totally impressed with these. Can’t get enough of them. And I feel like this is just the perfect answer to those

sort of pale colors that we see so often this time of year. I just love a really vibrant or dark, bold color scheme, and they really delivered on that. So I’m very pleased. So those are the polishes. And as you can see, I totally loved these. Cadillacquer in general just has some of the most unique nail polishes that I have ever seen in my life. Definitely some of the most unique polishes that I own. And this collection is really no exception to that. And I feel like the brand is just so impressive in terms of

how they put colors together. It’s always just such unique combinations and they always end up looking really beautiful. So I love the colors, I love the inspiration, and honestly, those thermals are so reactive. I thought it was so impressive how quickly they changed. So even with short nails like mine, I think it’s impressive to be able to kind of see how the color shifts around just based on my temperature and how I’m using my hands. So I thought that was really fun as well. So all of these polishes come in 15 milliliter bottles and they

do feature a wide, flat brush that has a rounded tip. So application is really easy. These polishes in particular are exclusively available from What’s Up Nails, which is a nail polish retailer. And I know that sometimes Cadillacquer polishes can be hard to find, but for those of you who missed out on their summer 2023 and winter 2024 collections, those are also available from What’s Up Nails as a preorder right now. So I’m going to link all of that down in the description. You can check them out if you’re interested, but I would love to hear

from you. What do you think of these polishes? What do you think of those thermals and the magnetics? And what do you think of the color story and the theming in general? I really appreciate your support and I’ll see you all in my next video. Today’s fun fact question comes from Patreon supporter Megan D, and Megan D wants to know, have you played any Star Wars video games? If so, what is your favorite and what did you think? I feel like this is appropriate because it’s a planet inspired nail polish collection and Star Wars is planetary. So

as you probably know, I have very recently become a huge Star Wars fan. It’s kind of developed over the last couple of years because previous to that, I had never seen any of the movies, but now I have seen them all and I’ve also seen a couple of the series and I love them. So for those of you who told me that I should watch them years ago, I should have listened to you. But that being said, I have actually never played any Star Wars video games. I’m sure I knew in my head that they

existed, but I hadn’t heard of any. I really don’t play games that often, so when I do, I kind of always stick to my favorites, which is just like a very small handful of games. And I really don’t let myself play for too often. So I feel like I miss out on a lot of fun games, which is why whenever I get into a game, I just get really obsessed with it. But yeah, if anybody has any recommendations for a Star Wars game that you think I would like, let me know in the comments. I

think I struggle a lot with games that are like time sensitive where you need to take actions very quickly though if anything is not like that, that would be ideal. But yeah, that is it. I’ll see you on my next video. Byeeee
