Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart: Game Review

Does Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
bring humor and heart together?
It sure does.
This entry in the fantasy action-adventure
series has our heroes trying to stop
a dimensional collapse and take
down the evil Emperor Nefarious.
As in past games, much of the
action involves sci-fi combat.
Robots and alien enemies get blasted with
over-the-top weapons or
clobbered with a wrench.
Colorful blood is shown occasionally,
but things never get graphic.
Players can choose between
male and female characters,
both of whom are skilled,
supportive, and compassionate.
There are also strong themes
of friendship, particularly evident in how
a damaged robot is made
to feel worthy and special.
“You ok, Bolts?”
“Thank you.”
Common Sense says Ratchet & Clank:
Rift Apart is OK for kids 10 and up.
