Samsung Galaxy A55 & A35 Unboxing & First Impressions ⚡ Exynos 1480, IP67, OIS & More

Alright friends, this big box has come from Samsung with the name Awesome Arun. Basically, their A series phones have been launched on the A55 & A30. There are many interesting things about the A55 & A30, and I’m going to tell you everything in today’s video. We’re going to do the unboxing & first impressions. I’m going to share all the details, but before we unbox, if you’re new here, make sure to hit that SUBSCRIBE button! If you enjoy this video & this phone, then do hit LIKE! Let’s open it. It’s a nice green box. Hey there,

get ready to level up your Awesome with the new Galaxy A55, A35 5G. Alright, let’s see. This is A35 & this is A55. And they’ve launched the Galaxy Fit 3, which is their smart band, smartwatch, and hybrid. So this is everything in the box, but today we’re going to focus on the Galaxy A55 and A35 5G. We’ll focus more on the A55, but I’ll also cover the A35, so don’t worry. And there’s 1 interesting thing that I want to say. In the offline market, A series phones are sold very well. In fact, if you look

at the sales rankings in India, the A series from Samsung is doing exceptionally well. In fact, its predecessor A54 was one of

the highest selling smartphones. It’s surprising & interesting. It’s a small box & there’s no adapter. But the phone is big! It’s a big phone. I mean it’s a box size phone. It’s chunky & big. Interesting. And then you have a SIM card tool, documentation & USB Type C to Type C charging cable. So that’s about it in the box. You get all these things in the A35 as well. There are 3 colours in

it, I’m going to show you all of them. But first, let’s open this. One good thing is that a lot of phones have plastic in them. They’ve used paper so it’s recyclable which is good. Wow! The phone feels big & chunky in the hand. And this is a glass back. By the way, both have glass backs. It has a metal frame as well. So it definitely looks premium. In fact, if you look at the side, it’s a little different. It comes up a little & then it becomes flat. It has sharp edges & it’s comfortable

in the hand. But still, these are sharp. It’s soft here, it’s curved here. I like the frame. It looks good too. When I say it looks good, it means it’s kind of muted. But it still looks rich. There’s Gorilla Glass Victus Plus protection on both the sides. In fact, not only in A55, you get Victus Plus protection in A35 as well. But the frame in that is plastic & it has a metal frame. If I talk about the weight, I think it’s around 195-200g. I’m going to say the range of 5g. It might be 195-200g.

Sorry, it’s 200-205g. Because it looks big & chunky in the hand. Oh! It’s 213.8g. It doesn’t look too heavy. It’s on the heavier side. There are 2 microphones on the bottom. There’s a speaker grill & a USB Type C port. On the right, there’s a power button & a volume rocker. There’s a noise cancelling microphone on the top & a SIM card tray on the top. There’s nothing on the left & you can see those antenna lines. If I talk about the sim card tray, there’s a hybrid sim card slot. So you can either use

1 sim & 1 SD card or 2 sim card slots. You can use sim cards & not slots. So there’s a hybrid sim card slot. So that is nice! It’s a Gorilla Glass Victus Plus production & I’m not worried. I’m going to drop it hard. 1,2 & boom! It bounced & landed. 1,2 & not bad. It landed like this & landed like this. But there’s absolutely nothing. Let’s talk about the phone. As soon as you look at the display, you’ll see that the screen has become bigger compared to the A54. It was 6.4” & here

you get a 6.6” 120Hz AMOLED screen. It has a Vision Booster & SGS certification. And if I talk about the brightness, the Samsung has 1000 nits in HBM mode. The bezels on the sides & top are of the same size. The chin is of the average size. So overall, it’s a center punch hole. It looks nice. Whatever you expect from an A series phone, especially in the A55 series, that’s what it is. Before moving ahead, I don’t know the price as I’m unboxing it. But this phone is going to be around Rs 40K. And the

A35 is going to be around Rs 30-35K. These phones are going to come in this price range. Let’s talk about the specifications. This A55 comes on the new Exynos 1480 chipset. If I talk about the A35, then that comes on the Exynos 1380. There are 2 variants in the A55. There were no variants in the A55 previously, but now it’s available with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. But in the A55, you also get a 12GB RAM variant. If you want more RAM, then you get it. In this, there’s an LPDDR5X RAM type & UFS 3.1

storage type. Whereas in the A55, you get an LPDDR4X RAM type & UFS 2.2 storage type. It has a 5000mAh battery & 25W charging. I think Samsung should increase in fast charging. If I talk about the Antutu score, then it’s around 7.25-7.30L. And if I discuss the gaming performance, it’s because there’s a new chipset involved. But you can play Genshin Impact on 40FPS & BGMI on 40FPS. You can play games on medium settings. But I think this chipset might be powerful, it could face a white listing issue. But yeah, that’s what it is. And I

forgot to talk about the gaming performance. The cooling system has become bigger by 74%. So thermals are also in check. And I’d like to say that this A series is not just performance based. There are a lot of other things. If you want performance, then you’ll get better performing phones in this price range. But yeah, this new chipset is still stable. In the CPU throttling test, we achieved a stability of 74%, which is quite good. In the 3DMark test, we got 99%. So it’s there. It has consistently performed well. By the way, the A35’s colours

are lilac & blue. There’s also a navy colour, so there are 3 different colours. This is also nice, people will like it. When the light falls, the colours change & reflect. There are different colours, look at this. I’d definitely say it’s awesome in multimedia. Yes, it’s awesome in multimedia as it’s great in Netflix, HDR etc. There are Dolby Atmos tuned speakers. So I’d definitely give it a thumbs up for multimedia. I’d definitely say a few things about the OS. It runs on One UI 6.1 which is based on Android 14. And you get major updates

for 4 years and security updates for 5 years in both the A55 and A35 models. So I’d definitely say it’s a plus in terms of updates. But when we were setting it up, we saw a few things. There are bloatwares & you can’t toggle off a lot of things. So there are bloatwares & 3rd party apps like Spotify etc. You can uninstall them but those are there. There’s a widget where you can remove the recommendations. But there’s also a recommendation widget. There are some good features on One UI 6.1. Knox Vault is present for security

at both the hardware and software levels. There’s a private share, that’s there. And there’s NFC so you can use Samsung Pay wallet. There’s a maintenance mode for servicing. So there’s no tension, there’s no data. So put it in Maintenance Mode & then give it for servicing. There’s a secured folder, you can put your private apps, files in it. So those features are there & One UI 6.1 is a better UI. And it comes in both A55 & A35. Let’s talk about the sensors. There are sensors in all the sensors, in display & fingerprint sensors. Face

unlock works well. If I talk about connectivity, there’s WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, VONR, Voice over 5G. So that’s good. There’s also eSIM support. It’s the 1st phone in the A series with eSIM support. All the bands are supported, so don’t worry about that. We’re going to talk about camera & AI features. But there’s a good thing, there’s IP67 certification. There’s Widevine L1 support, SAR value is within limits. I don’t think it has FM radio, no notification light. There’s no IR blaster on Samsung phones. Now let’s talk about the camera. The camera setup is functional,

which is good. It’s 50MP plus 12MP plus 5MP. There’s no 2MP which is good. The primary sensor is 50MP, 12MP, it’s ultra wide. There’s a 5MP macro sensor. And the selfie sensor is 32MP. And if I talk about the A35, there’s 50MP plus 8MP plus 5MP in the rear. And there’s a 13MP selfie sensor in the front. If I talk about the highlight of this phone, the camera definitely comes. The performance of the camera, especially the primary sensor, even ultra wide for that matter, is really good. In both the phones, the A35 and A55, the

primary sensor is equipped with OIS support. The colours & dynamic range really come out well. And as we always do, the photos we’ve taken in both the phones, the quality of the photos we show you on the screen degrades when we upload them on YouTube. That’s why we’ve given you the G-Drive link, where we’ve taken a lot of photos & put them in the original quality. So go & check out the G-Drive link if you’re thinking of buying this phone. But do check it out, I think the photos are really good, especially the colours on

the G-Drive link. If I talk about the video graphics, it’s 4K 30FPS. That’s interesting, it’s not 4K 60FPS. You can shoot in 4K 30FPS with the rear camera, and even the front camera supports 4K 30FPS. And interestingly, you can do a 12-bit video recording in this phone, not in A55 & A35. I liked the low light performance, especially the nitrography mode is very good. If you compare it with the A34 & A55, then the camera quality has improved, low light performance has improved & night portraits are also good. So even in low light, the colours

that you generally don’t expect, look good. So yeah, that’s there. You’re not a good photographer, but there are certain features that are really good. For example, when you click a photo, there’s a shot suggestion feature. That will suggest that you tilt the phone a little upwards, so that your photos look better. And if you’re recording a video, there’s auto framing. So if you’re recording and the subject is slightly off-center, it will automatically adjust to bring the subject into the center. So there’s auto framing & shot suggestion. These are nifty good features. Before you snap a

picture, these adjustments are made. However, if you’re looking to tweak your photos post-capture, the phone offers a couple of smart AI features I mentioned earlier. 1st is Remaster. When you use it, the colors and grains in your photos get cleared. So it automatically enhances the photo in every aspect. 2nd is Object Eraser. If you’ve taken a photo and there’s something in the frame you want to remove, like a pole, you can do that. If someone has bombed a photo & you want to remove their face, then you can do all that. There’s an Image Clipper

feature where you take someone’s photo & make a sticker out of it. You can do that with Image Clipper. There’s another app called Enhance X that you have to install & we’ve tested it. I think they introduced it last year. Basically, you get a lot of new features with Awesome Arun, allowing you to elevate your photos & videos to the next level. If you’re buying it, then try Enhance X. There’s Fit 3 in the box along with A55 & A35. I know you’re eager to check them out. We’ve used it & I really liked the

UI & the metal frame. It’s a very interesting launch. The biggest thing is that the price is around Rs 5K. It’s definitely worth it for Rs 5K. It’s not an out & out smartwatch & it doesn’t have Bluetooth calling. But, it’s not coming out. It’s packed properly. But if I talk about it, it looks very nice. In fact, when I was showing it in the office, it was amazing. And for Rs 5K, I think this Awesome Arun is a very good fit with a metal frame and a button. You can see the microphone here. Overall,

it looks very nice. So these are the 3 things, that’s what it is. Now, if I talk about the Awesome Arun specifically, the Awesome Arun’s pricing is generally on the higher side. That’s for sure. I’ve said the same about all the A series smartphones. And this is going to be the same. But, it has IP67 & good looks. It carries the legacy of the S series. Many who opt out of the S series often go for the A series instead. So, this phone is for them. Camera, display, looks, these are definitely its highlights. It has

the A series’ awesomeness in all these things. But, one thing reduces the awesomeness & that’s the blow to air. Especially in Samsung phones, I think the blow to air should be reduced. Do you have any feedback about the A55, A35 or even Fit 3? How did you find these phones? Do let us know in the COMMENT section below. If you enjoyed the video, then do hit LIKE!
