Tampa Bay Rays begin Wild Card Series on Tuesday; emotional series coming for Lowe family
You’re watching 10 Tapa Bay. Nice and quiet today. But tomorrow Trap Tober begins in Saint Pete. Yeah, Trap Tober Man. Uh The Tampa Bay Rays are hosting the Texas Rangers and they will begin the wild card series. So we’ve got 10 Tampa Bay sports director, Evan Klosky here just got back from today’s practice and Evan, I mean, we know the Rays have faced some adversity this season and what we learned about one of the players is emotional entering this big matchup. Yeah, you’re right, Josh, we’ll get to the fun stuff that comes with the postseason
soon. But Josh Lowe, one of the best players on the team told us stay in the clubhouse and his mom, Wendy is battling brain cancer. The family has known for a few weeks now, but Mrs Lowe gave Josh the go ahead to make it public saying the more prayers, the better we met Josh’s mother earlier this season. When the Rays, outfielder and his brother Nathaniel, who plays for Texas came to the trop to square off for the very first time in their careers. Obviously, things were a bit more playful back then. Josh has put forth
an amazing season and the best thing he can do right now is play his tail off for her. The fact that the family
this tough time, Wendy will not be in the trop for this series. The Tampa Bay Rays will host the entire wildcard series. That’s definitely Tuesday and Wednesday with the potential of a Thursday contest. All matchups are slated for 307 first pitch and I’ll let you know right now, the entire drop, it is open for the playoffs and there are plenty of tickets to be had, especially these puppies up here at $30. Right. It’s a pretty good deal. Now, coming up in sports at six o’clock, I’ll have some injury updates for you and what you need
to know to get you prepared for tomorrow.
