And then once you’ve done that, you have installed it and you can use it on several devices. Then you do not have to do anything else because then you will just start earning rewards. But of course then you also ask like why can I earn like that what are they doing after I’ve installed the app and is it even
safe and how much can I earn. So of course we’ll also go over that. So let’s start by going over why you can earn like this and if it’s safe and then we’ll also go over the full earning potential. And they do this by checking out how we in general use different websites, which websites we use and things like this. So they will just track that when you have it installed and that can be both on your computer, tablet, or smartphone. And what’s important to know is that then they combine this information with the different panelists. So it’s not about tracking exactly what you are doing or who you are and it’s not about collecting any passwords or anything like that because you can see that very clearly they also say here these are the things
that they actually collect. The URL, how long you are on the URL and in general the activity you had. But you will not share any user IDs or any passwords or anything like that. But all this here all this information that can be used to improve different services and websites. And that’s why market research it’s valuable for different companies. They’re willing to pay Nielsen for this data to help them improve their companies and their services. And that is why we can also get paid to participate in this. But let’s then also go over of course
how much you can earn and how can you get paid. So first of all, one thing that’s important to understand is that how much you can earn will vary a lot from country to country. For example if you look at the US website you can see you can earn up to 60 dollars in points for gift cards. So then you would be able to get different gift cards, you can see examples of it here and that would then be sixty dollars in points per year for having it installed. So it’s not something that will make
you rich or anything like that. It’s just a little bit extra on the side but the great thing is you actually do not have to do anything at all. And also in the US they had this monthly sweepstakes for example where you can win up to ten thousand dollars. So if you’re lucky you can really win a lot. But as mentioned, this really varies from country to country. For example if you look in Germany then you would earn potentially up to 150 Euros per year. And they have a little bit different uh reward options. So
all of it really depends the country you live in. In some countries they also have great sweepstakes and others they pay a little bit more and the exact rewards are also a little bit different. But you can kind of get an idea from this what the earning potential is and that is not something that will make you rich at all. But the great thing about it is that it is actually passive income. So as you can see Nielsen Computer and Mobile Panel can be an easy way to earn a little bit extra but you do
need to do it with the right expectations. Do not do this if you’re expecting to become rich or make a full-time income or anything like that. That’s of course not what this is meant for.
