Texas Rangers World Series parade: What to know
The city of Arlington has waited 51 years to do what they’re going to do tomorrow and that is hold a championship parade. It’s not going to be in Dallas, not in Fort Worth. It’s going to be right here in Arlington where the Rangers play where they call home and joining me. Now, the man of the hour, the mayor of the city of Arlington, Jim Ross and what I just said, 51 years. So you’ve had a long time to plan this, we’ve had a long time to plan this. You know, Mayor Tom Vander Rift, 51 years
ago, went to Washington, took the Washington Senators and convinced them to come to Arlington. They’ve been here ever since. I like to say the Rangers were born and raised here in Arlington. Indeed, they were. I want to show our viewers the parade route. It’s going to start over on the Southeast side of Globe Life and kind of make a circle around the stadium complex ending not too far from where it began. And you were just telling me right here on the North Plaza of Globe Life Field, there’s going to be a big stage where the
fans will be out here in the parking lot, watching the team talk, come up, get the crowd riled up. What do fans need to know if they plan on coming
Mark and Mariel. I cannot wait for this celebration. 51 years in the making.
