The loudness is not as much as the previous one, but the bass is definitely more. Let’s test its 1080p FaceTime camera and its mic. Apple has used three mics in this. You can do whatever you want. Let’s talk about the keyboard. The keys are well spaced out. The keys are big. You can type well. And it is kept in a 13-inch comparison so that you can
understand that you get a good space here. You can also see the function keys. You can see the big ones here. And the best improvement is in the trackpad size. Look at the trackpad size. speed of both the SSDs, MacBook Air M1 vs Air M2 15-inch. You can see the write speed of Air M1. It is 2170 Mbps. Whereas Air M2 is 1433 Mbps. It is around 1400 Mbps. And if you see the read speed of Air M2, it is 1525 Mbps. Whereas Air M1 is 2901 Mbps. So this is what I don’t like about Apple nowadays. They are taking out the latest MacBooks and the speed of its SSD is slowing down. This MacBook Air M1, I find it more valuable here compared to Air M2 15-inch. If you see
the speed of the SSD here. What was the need to reduce the speed of the SSD? Why reduce it so much? I think this is what happens in Pro versions. But Apple is doing the same thing in Air series. So Air M2, you take 13-inch or 15-inch, their SSD speed is less compared to Air M1. Which will make a difference because of the slow read and write speed. And here we are checking Final Cut Pro. So here is 4K multi-layer footage. And here you can see, it is scrolling very smoothly. You won’t have any issue
with it. And M2 chipset is more than enough for your 4K video editing needs. Yes, but if you need more, you have very high resolution clips and there will be 3-4 layers, 5 layers. At that time, this thing is not so good for you because its RAM will also decrease. Rest, you can see here, there is no issue. And playback will also be smooth and proper. You won’t have any issue with it. See, this is a multi-layer clip and everything is running properly. Now, I haven’t done any comparison of Final Cut Pro because obviously, compared
to Air M1, it will be slightly faster. And compared to Air M2 13-inch, the internals are exactly the same. Here, your 4K video editing needs will be fulfilled. But professionally, like I use MacBook Pro 16-inch, M1 Pro. But this will fulfill your basic video editing needs and you can easily make Reels on it. Now, if we talk about its battery life, this is MacBook Air, that’s why its battery life is outstanding. Pro is good, but Air is even better. And Apple claims that it has Adidas battery life and you can get it. If you do
light tasks, like word processing, web browsing, and if you do heavy tasks, like video editing, then obviously, you won’t get it as much as a Windows laptop. So, in this matter, Apple is definitely the king. Its battery life is outstanding. And Apple’s M chipset, the silicon one, like M2, M1, you get a very good power efficiency. And this is a fanless design, it doesn’t have a fan for cooling. It stays cool and doesn’t consume extra battery for this. Now, let’s check out its pricing and variants. So, currently, Apple is selling 3 types of MacBook Air.
One is MacBook Air 13 inches, one is M1, the other is Air M2 13 inches, and the latest one is 15 inches, M2. You get to see 2 models in this. One is 256 GB storage, the other is 512 GB. And if it runs in the form factor of 13 inches, as I told you, the M.2 chipset will have the same performance but the display size will be smaller. You will get it for 1,15,000. So, by paying 20,000, you are upgrading the size of the display. You are getting a bigger trackpad, a bigger keyboard, more speakers.
