77 Years on 7/7: Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter celebrate 77 years of marriage
Welcome back 618. Today marks a very special occasion for former President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalyn. They celebrate 77 years of marriage today and the date is 7/7. This continues their record as the longest married presidential couple in American history, a title they gained back in 2019. Of course, in the past several months it’s been announced that the President and Mrs. Carter are facing significant health challenges, but still we wish them all the best on this special day from us here at 13 WMA Z straight from the Heart. July 7th that is so impressive. They are a couple goals. Right there, definitely. I mean, I mean, they’re pushing 80 years together. That’s that’s well more than half of their life. I’m pushing seven years of my husband and some days I’m just getting. Well, here’s a neat thing. Obviously they’re from Georgia. So let’s take a look back at the weather on that day back on July 7th, 1946, Americus obviously down in Sumter County, not too far away from Plains.
