Honor 100 Pro Unboxing & First Impressions ⚡ Great Design, Safest Screen But…

Friends, we have the Honor 100 Pro. It won’t launch in India, it’s younger brother Honor 100 will launch. By the way, Honor is making a comeback in India. In 2023, they launched the Honor 90. And to be honest with you, launching a phone for Rs 30-40K was a big risk & I’m not sure how many people bought the Honor 90. But it seems that Honor is going to launch multiple phones in 2024, including budget. Meaning Rs 20-25K price range, which they should’ve done earlier. But now I think they’re going to launch as they have a

budget series phone in BIS. And the successor to the Honor 90 is Honor 100 & Honor 100 Pro. Both of them have been launched in China & the Honor 100 Pro is with us. We’re going to do its unboxing & first impressions & tell you everything about this phone. Alright, it’s a plain white box with Magic OS written on the bottom. Let’s see what’s magical inside & open the box. It’s a plain white box & the case is also very bland. It’s not all that great, the quality is alright. But the phone feels so good

in hand, we’ll talk about that later. Oh, this is nice! It has a 100W USB Type A to Type C charging cable. Yeah, that’s about

it. Let’s keep the box & look at the phone. Alright, first of all, I can see 2 cameras here. So, there are dual front selfie cameras, which is nice. The in-hand feel is amazing, there’s curved glass on both the fronts. Oh, look at this design! By the way, we’ve already seen a lot of phones that are going to be launched in 2024. Like OnePlus 12 & iQOO 12, all of them

have this type of design. So this is going to become a trend in 2024 & I’m very happy. But let me tell you, look at this camera module. It’s so different! It’s an oval egg shaped module. I won’t call it an egg shape, I’ll call it an oval shape. And it looks nice, not bad at all. The phone stands out a bit. In terms of design, the Honor 100 Pro looks very nice. If I talk about the weight, it’s not very heavy. Even though it has a 5000mAh battery, I think it’s going to be around

190g. Let’s see, it’s 197.9g. I don’t think so, the weight distribution is very good. Ports & Buttons There’s a sim card tray at the bottom, a microphone, a USB Type C port, there’s a speaker grill on the right, power on, off & a volume rocker. There’s a big speaker grill at the top, a noise cancelling microphone & nothing on the left. There’s a glass at the front & back, but the frame is plastic. We don’t know about the protection as it’s ordered from China. So we’re not sure about the protection, but we’re going to drop

it. This quad curved display from the front & from the back. Oh! That made a loud sound. No, there’s nothing. So it’s a sturdy build, let’s look at it from the inside. Display It’s a 6.78” 1.5K display with 120Hz fast refresh rate. It has an AMOLED display with 2600 nits brightness & 3840Hz PWM dimming. So you’ll be able to see in low light & low brightness. You won’t have any problem with your eyes. There are 2 cameras, but it’s a miniature dynamic island. But it’s very small, so I like that. Pricing The Honor 100 Pro

is priced at 3400 Yuan, which is the base variant in China. The highest variant in China is priced at 161TB. But if you convert it, the pricing will be 42-43TB. And in India, the Pro variant will be priced at Rs 50K. I mean that’ll be the price between Rs 45K-50K. And for that price, look at the specifications. It has 8th Gen 2, 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, 5000mAh battery, 100W charging. 8th Gen 2 in Rs 50K. Because under Rs 50K, the iQOO 12 is already around Rs 50K. In fact below Rs 50K, the 12GB 256GB variant

is priced at Rs 49,999. So this phone is definitely on the expensive side. Some things are good, like the display is seriously good. If you look at the bezels, it’s very thin. You get a dual selfie camera & the design is very good. But will you pay that kind of a price? And Honor is making a comeback, this is an important thing. OS UI It has Magic OS 7.2 which is based on Android 14. Not only that, you get gestures in this too. Where you can do different things with your hand gestures. So we’ll see

a lot of these things in the 2024 phones. Because AI is coming & due to AI, the software experience is going to go to the next level. Antutu Score Let’s talk about Antutu’s performance & Antutu’s score is around 1.5M. You’ll be able to play games well. You’ll be able to play games on the highest settings & you shouldn’t have any problems. But this is not an out & out gaming phone as it’s curved. But yes, the performance is excellent. Honor 9T GT Honor 9T GT is launched on the 8th Gen 2 & it’s priced at

around Rs 2500. It should be launched in India. Because if you’re getting an 8th Gen 2 phone for Rs 30-35K, then it’ll be a compelling proposition. Sensors are good & there’s 5G connectivity. We’ll talk about bands when it’s launched in India. But it has all connectivity options like Wi-Fi 6 & Bluetooth 5.3. One thing I really liked is that it has 66W wireless charging. So you can charge your phone wirelessly in 30 minutes. I think this is one of the fastest wirelessly charging phones. This phone is amazing for multimedia. It has a beautiful display &

Honor’s displays are amazing. It’s an excellent & beautiful display. It has stereo speakers & they’re loud. There’s a 200% loudness mode where you can amplify the music & audio. And the sound doubles. So it’s a top notch phone for multimedia. Camera When Honor 9T was launched, I was expecting a lot more from the camera. But it wasn’t that good. But this one is a good & decent camera. We’ve taken a lot of photos. There’s a G-Drive link, so do check it out. The photos are good in normal conditions. But again, it’s optimized for Chinese people.

So the skin tones are more white. The selfie is good. There are dual cameras & the selfie is good. Specifications There’s a 50MP primary sensor. There’s a 32MP 2.5x telephoto sensor. And there’s a 12MP ultrawide sensor. There are 2 things I noticed. 1- Edge detection doesn’t perform well. So the edge detection isn’t accurate. And the HDR & dynamic range isn’t that good. Features There are good features. There’s night mode, portrait mode, aperture, pro mode. There’s timelapse, watermark, HDR videos, slow motion, high resolution, sold out, scanned documents. There are a lot of features. There’s AI &

you can do a lot of things in the gallery after taking a photo or video. There’s a mode where you can take 3-4 photos or videos & make a collage or a slow motion video. So those AI features have come in the gallery. So what do I think about the Honor 100 Pro? It’s a good phone, but it’s slightly overpriced. Just like I said about the Honor 90, it’s slightly overpriced. It’s a good phone, but the price is a bit high for me. Because if it’s priced at Rs 45-50, you have much better options. Like

I said, one thing, I… Why are you taking screenshots? I do it slowly. So according to me, the Honor 90 GT will be a much better proposition. Or they should launch the X series X9, X8 in the Rs 20-25K price range. They should start off, just like how Madhav Sheth did with Realme. First they launched it in the mid-range budget series & then they launched more expensive phones. With Honor also, I think they should take that path. Suddenly if you launch a phone in Rs 45-50K, then it should be an outstanding phone. Because there’s a

lot of competition in that too. So yeah, that’s what it is. Let’s see what Honor does in 2024, I’m definitely looking forward to it. That’s all for this video, until the next one, Keep Trakin & Stay Safe! Thanks for watching!
