Infinix Hot 40i Unboxing And First Impressions ⚡32MP Selfie, 256GB UFS 2.2 Storage & More

Friends, the budget smartphones that were launched in 2023, I think they were launched in the first 2 months of 2024. And there’s another one from Infinix, the Infinix Hot 40i. It has 8GB RAM, 256GB storage & you’re getting it under Rs 9000. I think that’s one of the cheapest 256GB storage smartphones. It’s written 16GB on it, 8GB RAM, physical & 8GB virtual. We’re going to do its unboxing & first impressions, we’re going to tell you everything. Not just the storage, it’s camera is also very interesting, I’m going to tell you about that too. But before

that, if you’re new here, then do hit LIKE & SUBSCRIBE! So many people come & watch the unboxing, it’s beneficial, they buy the phone but don’t subscribe. So do SUBSCRIBE! It has a blue box, a bright green box & it’s written Hot 40i. It has a 90Hz punch hole display, so that’s also good. There’s no water drop notch. There’s a good 18W charger, USB Type A to Type C charging cable, so that’s excellent. Then there’s a sim card tool, there’s documentation & then you also have the case. Wow, look at that camera module! It’s big,

do tell us which phone it looks like. So yeah, it’s a nice good quality case. Let’s keep all this aside & now let’s

look at the phone. Let me tell you something, we did a video on the Hot 30i which was launched last year. It was super popular on Flipkart with around 1.25L ratings. And Infinix got feedback from people that they wanted a good design & storage wasn’t enough. And the budget series doesn’t have good cameras. So they focused more on these 3 things with the Hot 40i. Look at that design! The designs of the

phones under Rs 10K, you won’t say it’s a budget phone. Look at the Infinix 40i, it looks really nice! Look at the camera module, it looks like a flagship camera module. And the rings are blue in colour, it’s a plastic frame but it looks like steel. So it’s really nice, you can feel the premium quality in your hand & it’s visible too. So now you have a chrome finish, Infinix calls it a starfall design. And there’s a quad LED flash too. Nice! Very nice! The in-hand feel is very decent, it’s big but it doesn’t feel

that heavy. It’s probably less than 195g. It’s big but I don’t know, let’s see. It’s 189-190g, that’s right, not on the very heavy side. It’s alright. Scratch guard, let’s remove it for some satisfaction. No sound, no sound, no sound. Let’s look at the ports & buttons. The chrome finish looks good. There’s a 3.5mm jack, a microphone, USB Type C port, speaker grill. On the right, there’s a power on off button which is flush. There’s a fingerprint sensor, volume rocker, no noise cancelling mic on the top. And there’s a sim card tray on the left. Let’s

see, let’s see, let’s see. There’s a dedicated SD card slot so you can expand the storage. And there’s a slot for 2 dual nano sim cards. Alright, we don’t know about the protection but we’re going to drop the phone. Let’s do this! 1, 2 & boom! Some crackling sound. No, no, no, there’s nothing. Let’s drop it from here. 1, 2 & boom! No, absolutely nothing. Yes, it’s decent. Let’s look at it from the inside. If you haven’t subscribed to our channel yet, then do so now. Display Features It’s a 6.6” HD 90Hz display with a

punch hole with a magic ring. It took time to start. So it’s a bit slow. But the display has an 89% screen-to-body ratio. The bezels on the sides & top are thin. It’s an average size. Overall, it’s a modern looking display for sure. There are decent viewing angles too. So that is there. Specifications We’ve reviewed 6-7 phones under Rs 10K budget series. All of them come with the Unisoc T606 processor. This is no different, it’s the same processor. It has an AnTuTu score of 2.5L & 2.6L. It’s a very popular processor in the budget segment.

It has 8GB RAM, 8GB virtual RAM & 256GB storage. Yes, it doesn’t have 128GB either. It has 256GB storage in 8999. It has LPDDR4X RAM type & UFS 2.2 storage type. It has a 5000mAh battery with 18W charging. You can easily use it for the whole day without any problems. If I talk about performance, you can play games on low-medium settings. It shouldn’t be a problem. But yes, play games on low settings. You won’t be able to play games on high settings. Due to more RAM, you can keep 15-18 apps in the background. And they

won’t get closed or optimized. So that’s a good thing for sure. OS UI UIOS 13 is based on Android 13. Even if it’s a budget phone, Android 14 should be out of the box. There are no updates. It has good 3rd party apps, but not as good as the ones you use on Spotify. But they are there. And when it comes to features, it has Kids Mode, Peak Proof. So when you’re working, you don’t want others to see. You can use Peak Proof Mode. So all these features are there. But yes, as I said earlier,

Android 14 should’ve been there. And there should’ve been at least 1 year of updates. It also has reverse charging mode. So you can charge another phone with the wire. It also has Ultra Power Saving Mode. So the battery is less. And if you want to extend the battery, you can do it. Sensors It has all the sensors, but the gyroscope is soft. It has a side mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock, works well. Connectivity It’s 4G, not 5G. It has dual band WiFi, 4G VoLTE calling, etc. Multimedia It has a big, decent & bright display. It’s

an IPS display, so you won’t be able to compare it with a more expensive phone. But the display is good in price range. It has bottom firing speakers & it supports DTS sound. So that’s good. We’ve talked about 2 things. The focus area is good in terms of design & storage. It’s 256GB. Camera You get a 50MP dual camera, but we’ll talk about 50MP. You get a 50MP sensor in the rear camera. There’s a 32MP sensor in the front camera. I think that’s definitely a first for under Rs 10K. Forget under Rs 9K, even under

Rs 10K you get a 32MP sensor. It has it. It’s pixel binning, so you get a 8MP sensor, but it’s quite good. Pixel binning obviously increases the image quality. Features You can natively take a 50MP photo from the back & a 32MP photo from the front. It’s India’s 1st 32MP selfie camera with flash. We’ve taken a lot of photos. The G-Drive link is given in the unboxing. If you want to buy it, then do check the original quality & decide. And I’d say, in this price range, it gives you decent photo qualities. Features You get

short video mode, video, photo, beauty, portrait, super night mode, time lapse, short video, filters, Ultra HD mode, AR shot, pro mode, panorama, time lapse, slow motion. In terms of features, everything is there. Features You get a quad LED flash at the back & a dual LED flash at the front. So you can take selfies in the dark with the 32MP sensor. If you want to brighten up, you can do it. Servicing Infinix has the 2nd largest network of service centres. They also have an app called the Kalkare app. If there are any issues, you can

raise them through this app. It comes in 4 colours, blue, gold, black & green. So if you take a lot of selfies & if your budget is tight, then definitely. Because selfie is definitely a strong point. In fact, I’d say that the camera is also a strong point. So Infinix’s focus is on these 3 things. So Infinix Hot 40i definitely excels in these 3. Other small things, you get FM radio, IP53 certification, Widevine, L3 support, not L1 HD+, screen, camera 2A5 etc. And yes, SAR value is within limits. So this is the Infinix Hot 40i.

Design, I’d say, definitely stands out. And if storage is important to you, then the 256GB variant under Rs 9K is good. Performance is also good. Because there are phones with the same processor which are cheaper than this. So that’s all for this video. That’s all for this video. Until then Keep Trakin & Stay Safe!
