iQOO Neo 9 Pro Indian Retail Unit Unboxing and First Impressions ⚡ Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 @ ₹33,999*!!?

Friends, I’ll be brutally honest here. The way iQOO launches their phones, especially the Neo series, that is super duper exciting. And the reason behind it is that the value for money quotient is right up there. If I talk about the iQOO Neo 7 Pro, it was the cheapest 8th Gen 1 smartphone. This iQOO Neo 9 Pro is the cheapest phone on the 8th Gen 2. In fact, let’s talk about the price first. The base variant is going to be around Rs 30K. The competition phone is Rs 40K. This is directly close to Rs 30K. And

it is exciting! And not just the performance, if I talk about other things, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro is seriously very exciting & attractive. Watch the entire unboxing video & you’ll know why I’m saying this. But before unboxing, if you’re new here, then do hit LIKE & SHARE this video with your friends. Those who want a good phone in budget. Let’s open the Neo 9 Pro. It comes in 2 colours. This is the Fiery colour. I’m going to show you how exciting it is. For a change, we have a slightly smaller camera module. It’s a

decent case. Then you have documentation, sim card tool, a big 120W charger. This is a big highlight. The battery is

5160 mAh. And there’s a USB Type C to Type C charging cable. So it’s not USB Type A to Type C. So it’s excellent there. I’m going to tell you some interesting things about the storage. It’s a standout & there’s a lot of controversy about other phones. But not with this one. It comes in a dual tone colour. This will look very different. When you hold it, you’ll see it’s a very different phone. It has

a vegan leather back & look at this. It definitely stands out. There are 2 camera sensors in the camera module. And there are only 2 cameras. It’s a very versatile & functional camera. We’ll talk about the 2MP sensors later. But in hand feel, even with 5160 mAh battery, it doesn’t feel heavy. It’s on the lighter side. I really don’t know, I don’t understand this sometimes. This is 190g. It’s 191.2g, so I’m very near. It’s a very thin phone & in hand feel is excellent. The vegan leather back is also dual tone. And the Neo branding

is very subtle. I like that. It has iQOO written on the bottom. But it’s very subtle & looks beautiful. There’s a scratch guard, you have to remove it. Yes, lovely! Very nice! There’s a flag display. It’s a top notch for gaming & performance. But let’s drop it. It has a short sensation glass support. Let’s drop it. 1, 2 & 1, 2 & 3 No friends, nothing. I’m not worried at all. The vegan leather back has dual tone colours. There’s another colour, black, which comes with a glass back. Let’s talk about ports & buttons. There’s a

sim card tray at the bottom. There’s a microphone, USB Type C, speaker grill, power on & off on the right. There’s a volume rocker at the top. And there’s an IR blaster & noise cancelling microphone at the top. There’s nothing on the left hand side. Let’s see the sim card tray. I think it’s a dual nano sim card tray. I don’t think so, let’s see. It’s a dual nano sim card slot. Let’s start the phone & talk about the display. The display that comes in the flagship iQOO 12, is the same as this. It’s a

6.78” 1.5K 144Hz fast refresh rate AMOLED display. It has a 3000 nits peak brightness & supports HDR10+. And as I said, it comes with a short sensation glass for protection. If I talk about the bezels, just look at these. Bezels & chin are of the same size & are very thin. It’s an immersive display & despite being 6.78” it’s quite compact. Even if you have average hands, you won’t feel it’s too big. Let me tell you about the 144Hz. You get 144Hz while gaming & 120Hz in a normal system. Specifications There are some interesting things

here, listen carefully. It comes with 8GB 128GB base variant, 8GB 256GB variant & 12GB 256GB variant. So there are 3 different variants. The 128GB variant is UFS 3.1 storage type. The 256GB variant is UFS 4.0 storage type. And if I talk about the RAM type, it’s LPDDR5X RAM type. And friends, there was a controversy just now, so we tested the read & write speed. UFS 3.1 vs UFS 4.0. And UFS 4.0 speeds are 4000 Mbps read speeds. And we always test these. I don’t know, there was a controversy & we didn’t know. But this one

definitely tested UFS 4.0. It has an 8th Gen 2 processor, 5160 mAh battery & 120W fast charging. So it’s loaded in terms of specs. If I talk about the AnTuTu score on paper, it’s 1.6M. I’d say that the 8th Gen 2 score is one of the highest for the 8th Gen 2. It’s above 1.6M which is excellent. And not just the specs, we also ran a lot of tests. For example, we tested the CPU throttle. We tested the CPU throttle & scored 86% which is very good. Generally, it’s above 80% so we’d say that 86%

is really good. I’d like to talk about 2-3 things about the gaming. You can play COD Mobile on 120FPS. We also played Genshin Impact & it didn’t go below 59FPS for half an hour. It was consistently giving 59-60FPS. So performance, especially in terms of gaming performance, is excellent. And the biggest reason for Thermal to be in the checks is that it has the biggest vapour cooling chamber. It’s a 6000mm square vapour cooling chamber in the 4 zone cooling system. So even in Genshin Impact, when we were playing, it was around 42-43M. That’s it, not more

than that. If I talk about the Q1 chipset, there are 2-3 things. It upscales in gaming. It upscales to 720p so it upscales to 900p thanks to the Q1 chip. And not just in gaming, but in multimedia too. If you’re watching Netflix or Prime videos in multimedia, it also upscales thanks to that chip. You get good multimedia experience, especially if you’re watching videos, web series, movies etc. That experience is going to be very good. And yes, there are stereo speakers too. So from a multimedia, gaming & performance perspective, there are absolutely no complaints anywhere. I

won’t say it’s a complaint, in fact I’ll say it’s actually good. FunTouch OS is subjective & many people like it. Vivo & iQOO phones have FunTouch OS. So it’s subjective, but Android 14 comes out of the box. FunTouch OS 14 is on top of it. And if I talk about updates, there are 3 major updates & 4 security updates. But the good thing is, the hot games & apps that are always seen in FunTouch OS, are not visible in this time. Yes, there are few 3rd party apps, but I’m happy that they’ve removed the hot

apps & games. Sensors There’s an in-display fingerprint sensor, face unlock, no problems. Connectivity There’s 5G sub-band support, dual 4G VoLTE WiFi calling, Bluetooth 5.3, IR blaster, NFC is not there. There’s also virtual RAM support in the OS, if you buy 8GB, you’ll get 8GB virtual RAM & if you buy 12GB, you’ll get 12GB. There’s an AI Voice Game Changer feature in gaming. There are many voice packs, so you can change your voice. So there are AI features in this. I’m going to talk about the camera, but before that let me tell you, there’s IP54 certification,

so dust & water is registered to a certain extent. SAR values are within limits, there’s no notification light, there’s camera to API support. So all those things that you expect are there. Camera I don’t mind dual cameras, but in this, you get a 50MP primary sensor, which is Sony’s IMX920 sensor & supports OIS. The secondary sensor is 8MP ultrawide. In the center punch hole, you get a 16MP sensor. The primary sensor is in the Vivo X100, which is the flagship camera centric smartphone. There are many things borrowed from the Vivo X100, like the photos are

good quality photos. If I talk about sharpness, colours, dynamic range, they are quite good. We’ve taken many different photos, I’m giving you the G-Drive link, do check it out for the original quality. If you shoot with the primary sensor, you can shoot 8K videos, 4K 60FPS videos. There’s 1080p at 30FPS, but there’s 8K & 4K at the back, so that’s good & there’s OIS as well. App Features Snapshot, Night, Portrait, Photo, Video Mode, Slow Motion, Time Lapse, etc. There’s a long exposure mode, you can scan an Ultra HD document, there’s a native 50MP mode. So

features are also there. Interestingly, I wasn’t expecting that the night or low light photos would be this good. But because it’s using that sensor, it’s good at low light photos. Low light performance is also good. Talking about night, there’s 4K night video. There’s also a selfie mode, so you can shoot videos in low light at night. And it’s definitely beneficial due to the OIS. There’s one thing, if it was 4K in selfie mode, it would’ve been even better. And friends, think about it, with the iQOO Neo 9 Pro, I’m saying the base variant is around

Rs 30K. And the upper variant, the UFS 4.0 256GB variant, is around Rs 8,256. You’ll get it with the 32, 33GB variant. You’ll get it with the 35GB variant, and the upper variant is around Rs 12,256. I’m expecting this. If this phone comes at this price, I’d say it’s offering a lot more. And it’s not like the iQOO phones are only focused on performance. The aesthetics are good, the camera, I don’t have any complaints. The camera setup is decent, the display is good & the performance is there. So overall, like I said at the start

of this video, this is one of the most exciting phones. And people are going to like it a lot. When you’re spending money, you’re getting a better phone. That’s for sure. If you want to buy it, there are a lot of offers till 26th Feb. There’s an Instant Bank discount of Rs 2K, if you do exchange offers, you’re getting an extra Rs 4K. So if you buy it effectively, you’ll get it at a lower price. I’m showing you the offers on the screen, go check it out. This is the iQOO Neo 9 Pro. If you
