Redmi Note 13 Unboxing and Quick Review | Rs.54,999

Friends, the mid-range phones market is getting very hot and now Xiaomi has also stepped into the arena with its brand new Redmi Note 13 series. I did a mega unboxing of this 13 series in Lahore on the channel you will find the link in the description. Greetings and welcome to ReviewsPK, my name is Ameer. Now, just to recap, two variants of Redmi Note 13 have been launched in Pakistan 8128, which is for Rs. 55,000 and 8256, which is for Rs. Obviously, these are retail prices, so you will get these phones even cheaper than this. But

thew real question is, whether Xiaomi has kept the trend of value for money phones. You will definitely give me the answer to this after watching this video. Because the feature set of this phone is very solid, good cameras, amazing display, and at least looking at the spec sheet, I don’t see any big compromise or anything missing. There is a SIM ejector tool with the phone in the box, some user manuals, along with it, there is a soft-touch plastic case, and a 33W fast charging power brick, and a cable. Now, come to this device. This time,

Xiaomi has updated the design language of the entire Redmi line-up. The entire build of the phone is made of plastic, the back is also made of plastic, and the

frame as well. And this time, the design language has been kept quite boxy. Flat back, flat frame, and on the back, there are these big cameras. Now, the build of the plastic is quite common on this Rs. 55,000 to Rs. 60,000 price point. Obviously, I would have preferred if it had a glass back, but honestly, that’s expecting too much. Personally, I have more issues with this high-gloss

finish. I like the matte finish back more, because you can see a lot of fingerprints on high-gloss phones, and it is almost impossible to keep such phones clean. But I am sure a lot of you would also prefer such a high-gloss finish, and when you buy such phones in light colours, then you don’t feel much issue of fingerprint smudges. Now, the good thing about this phone is that Gorilla Glass 3 protection is given at the front, and there is IP54 splash resistance in the phone as well, so this phone will tolerate light rain or splashes.

There is a power button and volume keys on the right side of the phone. On the top side, there is a noise cancellation mic, an IR blaster, with which you can use this phone as a remote control. Along with it, there is a secondary speaker of the phone, and a headphone jack. While below, there is a SIM tray, Type-C port, mic, and the main speaker of this phone. Yes, friends, dual speakers are back. If you remember, there were no dual speakers in Redmi Note 12, there was only a bottom-firing mono speaker. So, I am very

happy that Xiaomi has decided to put dual speakers back in this Redmi Note 13. If we talk about the physical dimensions, then the thickness of the phone is 8mm, and the weight is 190 grams, so this phone does not feel heavy or bulky in the hand. Now, the cameras given at the back are also marketed a lot by Xiaomi. This is a triple camera setup, whose main sensor is 108MP. Now, along with the high resolution of this main camera, the special thing about it is that it supports 3x in-sensor zoom, which works a little differently

than normal digital zoom. Now, this phone gives 12MP images by binning the 108MP sensor. And when you zoom, the image is taken from a small area of the 108MP big sensor, which zooms the image, but the resolution remains 12MP, and the pixels do not increase. It works to some extent like crop sensor cameras. So, personally, I really liked this back camera, I really liked its images, and at a price point of Rs 55,000 to Rs 60,000, 108MP is the highest resolution at the moment. Also, note that at a price point of Rs 55,000 to Rs

60,000, you will still see a lot of phones that do not have an ultra-wide camera. So, even though 8MP is felt in low-resolution images here, I appreciate the fact that this phone has an ultra-wide camera. Then there is a 2MP macro camera here, which, in my opinion, is only given to put the label of a triple camera. As far as video recording is concerned, unfortunately, there is no 4K recording in Redmi Note 13. This phone records videos of a maximum of 1080p at 30fps. Moving forward, there is a 16MP selfie shooter here. Very normal type

performance. Decent skin tones, decent colours, but definitely not the best in this price range. Now, let’s talk about the display, which, hands down, is my favourite. Redmi Note 13’s favourite feature. Check out this fully stacked spec sheet. This is a fullHD AMOLED display, with 120Hz high refresh rate. Here in settings, you can also run it at 60Hz to save battery. Normally, you don’t see such bright displays at this price point. But I really liked this display because of two things. One is its 87.5% screen-to-body ratio. Which means, the bezels of this phone are quite slim.

Not flagship level, but according to mid-range price point, the bezels here are very good. But what’s even more interesting is that this phone also has an under-display optical fingerprint sensor. This means that at a price point of Rs 55,000 to Rs 60,000, a high refresh rate AMOLED display along with an in-display fingerprint sensor and very thin bezels. In my opinion, this display checks all the boxes and is best in class. If we talk about media consumption experience, this phone has Widevine L1 certification. So, apps like Netflix and Prime Video will show content in fullHD. Now,

let’s talk about the chipset performance. Here in Redmi Note 13, we get Snapdragon 685 chipset, which is a 6nm 4G chipset. Along with it, there is Adreno 610 GPU, 8GB RAM, and 128 and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage options. Along with it, there is also Hybrid Dual SIM support. So, instead of two SIMs in this phone, one SIM and one SD card can also be used. In case you want to expand the storage. In terms of performance, this Snapdragon 685 is a mid-level processor. It is basically an overclocked version of Snapdragon 680. In AnTuTu, it will

give you a score of 3.25 to 3.50 lakhs. In day-to-day usage, it will easily handle normal social media apps, movies and videos. But you can’t expect any heavy-duty performance from it. Nor can you do any heavy gaming. But then again, this phone is not designed for gaming or specifically gamers. This phone is for everyday average type user. And the special thing about this Snapdragon 685 is its efficiency, which comes from its 6nm architecture. And when its efficiency is combined with a 5000mAh big battery, then the battery life is amazing. Most of the people can easily

use this phone for a day, and if your usage is light, then you can use it for 1.5 to 2 days. Now, I would have preferred if Redmi Note 13 had a faster charging speed than 33W. As we see 33W in 30-40,000 phones so its a bare minimum in this price. But even with 33W, this phone charges quite fast. It gets half charged in half an hour. Empty to full charge in 70 to 75 minutes, which you can’t call slow. So, friends, I personally find this Redmi Note 13 a very interesting device. I think its

55,000 variant is the best in terms of value. Because of a solid camera, amazing display and dual speakers at this price point, this phone is providing good value in my opinion. While looking at this phone, I didn’t feel that any main feature is missing or there is a big compromise. I would have preferred a better processor than Snapdragon 685. Now, we are seeing Helio G99 at a price point of 30,000. And here, the 33W charging feels like a bare minimum. But now, I want to know your opinion here that whether you found this Redmi Note

13 a value for money device or not. Do let me know in the comments below. And if you want to see a comparison of this Redmi Note 13 with any other phone, then I want to know that too.
